I think ya slipped up when mixing your colours you tested colour with 16 oz of water and yet your bottles of resin and hardener are 16 oz each so i think you would have been closer at 2 drop of each colour but otherwise well done
I love all the detail and skill to produce it but I don't understand the use of the basic slot car track. It takes away the detail . Why not have a detailed wood surface with a routed groove and custom power strips ?
Here are my thoughts, what about bubbles under the water that the waterfall and driver would create, also the muckyness from the car hitting the bottom, and will you put a fan fishing at the top holding a 🍺, our ponds in PA are murky all the time but I understand what you are going for, you want to see the details. 🏁 Race On Boone, love to see this in person.
Great job Boone!! With the yellow tint in the activator, I was hanging on the edge of my seat waiting to see the final color. Thanks for the class teach, learned a whole bunch. Regards, Jack
Yes , a driver could be added to the car. Before the pour, half the cockpit is filled up with resin now… this Ferrari I found on thingiverse for free. Nice print
Thank you Mark, I try to keep pushing my personal envelope to try to look outside the box on what to try next. Not only with the different materials that I use to help keep cost of modeling scenery to a reasonable cost , but to try new things to build and create. Like I have text before on other responses in the comments, “ I’m always open to hear different ideas or what the viewers of my videos would like to see a video on.” So if you have an idea please feel free to message me and I’ll see what I can do… thank you again for watching my channel
I think a dremel could be used for shaping, the nice part of using a knife is the texture it creates naturally as you cut and chip the foam. A dremel might need some help in that area …. Or it might work out great.. lol…. You have me pondering this idea of yours… might just have to try it out
oh nice i just see by coming back ... your cars have a steering front axle ! do they get sold like this or made it yourself ?
Those are purchased like that. There are few slot manufacturers that created steering… pretty cool
ohh that beautiful pond ... now its getting full of ferrari motor oil and fuel :( ... haha ^^
Haha

Thanks Rob… the way that I had to have my track set up it worked out better with manufactured track , plus I wanted to have a digital system

I love seeing modeling skills transpose over to other hobbies. I've never seen a slot car track layout with such detail and scenery. Well done!
Thank you J
could you add a driver into the car?
