When I lost... someone very close to me, the best thing for me was to return to work and not think about it. I told my boss that and she was very understanding and she gave me extra tasks to do, and I was thankful for it.
You're right. It's easy to see he's trying to cover it up. I've been there and it will take some time. Matt does need to take it easy and focus on family. I think he's tackling too many other projects right now. But maybe that's his way of dealing with the pain.

My family runs a restaurant and are barely making it through it and my dads father just passed away and it’s just really hard to go through. Especially if you have a bigger family because if Texas is like Minnesota you can’t have more than 10 people going to the funeral. So thoughts and prayers going from my family to yours.

First off, I am very sorry for your loss. Myself, my family, and the rest of the Demolitia send our deepest condolences. I whole heartedly believe that the man we have all lost is not actually lost, but is now with his family in just a different way. May he continue to be a light to this world as he watches over you all in the heavens above. Matt, I work for Providence Saint Vincent in Beaverton, Oregon. Due to the Pandemic we have run extremely low on PPE, more specifically on Masks and Eye-Pro. I wanted to ask if by chance could the Bunker make anything like that? I know we have been asking the surrounding community that if they have the ability and machinery to do so, to please help contribute to the hospitals . Given all these resources we still only have a maximum of 30 more days until supplies are completely depleted. This has resulted in caregivers reusing, Paper Non-Reusable masks for days until they completely tear apart to the point they are not serviceable anymore. If there is any help you are able to provide, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Matt, You don't have to apologize for anything! Your whole family has a heart of gold, just like my mama did. Hard to find nowadays. Your dad's video was such a memorial and showed you boys' just like you were, little daredevils but laughing all the time. I didn't realize how much you and Mark look alike. Mark was a good guy, he was tough. It wasn't fair and I know he hated leaving Jaci and the kids. Watch for the signs, they'll be there. Within the first 6 months after my mom passed, she sent me a sign that was so powerful it was almost scary! Take it just one day at a time....................

Take as much time as you need, take care of yourself. You need time to grieve, and please, allow yourself that time. My mom passed in 2015, and I dropped everything to be there for my dad, who by the way is the most stoic man ever born. I did my best to hold him together, take care of arrangements, but I didn’t give myself the time I needed to let go and grieve. Matt, I got so sick. My doc thought I was patient zero of the zombie apocalypse. All I needed was three days of being alone, and I was a lot better after that. Take care of yourself, it’s ok to walk out into the woods and cry until you puke. I did that, it’s extremely therapeutic. It’ll get easier, but it’s gonna take time. God bless y’all. My family is deeply saddened about Matt’s passing.

Having lost 2 siblings, it is going to take you a while to get back to feeling almost normal. There is always going to be this tug at your heart that is going to creep up at odd times and will cause you to reflect on that person that you miss and so desperately want to talk with again. Just know that Mark will always be with you - that is how love truly works. Your family continues to be in my thoughts.

During a hard time in my life a dear friend taught me this quote and it applies to so many situations but mostly to people during hard times.
"Those than matter don't mind and those that mind shouldn't matter."
Meaning those of us that have had potholes and speed bumps in life Completely Understand! As humans we have to grieve. Hugs and prayers for you and your family. The blessing in disguise is that his children will always have y'all's RUclips videos to look back on. Before RUclips pictures and videos were what Mom's did to capture the moment, most of the time at the irritation of the people in front of the camera until you lose that person. Then those photos, videos and memories become precious keepsakes.

I lost my 92yr old Marine Daddy on St Pat's Day, Rules were such that only 2 Marines to fold the flag and play taps. Also could not post in the paper the time of the funeral or have a viewing etc. I am sorry for your loss of Mark. He was a brave man. I watched his channel as I was a caregiver for my Daddy, to support him.

My mom homeschooled all 9 of my siblings, including me from pre-k through high school. I'm so happy I was never forced to be put into a government institution. its hard and ive seen my mother go through stress and all the trials of homeschooling but its totally worth it.

Ive been kinda new to watching your channel from demo to offtheranch and then found out you were a vet which was a complete suprised and watched your videos on that as well, I saw the video about your brother and Im sorry and pray for you and your family and his wife and kids, Matt you are strong and positive and probably help keep so much people positive mental attitude and even if I am new I really want to Thank You for everything and a new subby to the family of OTR and DR!
