They knew all along. That’s why they all continued to live life, go to Vegas to gamble, get plowed and 💩 after the two were brutally murdered at Alex’s and their home. Same as the boat murder, how they immediately showed up and helped cover the crime, much like when they immediately took all the long guns from the home after SLED did a 💩 job searching that they let John lead. They are despicable people. There are long lists of calls between the LE with the grandfather, John, Randy and Alex immediately following the boat murder and yet LE and the Murdaughs never even bothered to call Mallory’s family. There’s a family of generations that are all criminals and Paul and Maggie were no exception.

He was about to go to prison for the boat crash. Alex has been thinking about rather taking him out than have that happened. When all his financial crimes were coming to light, he finally took the step also hoping it would take the spotlight off him.
His motive was complex and many things contributed to the final act.

When testifying, Maggie's sister when speaking of Maggie's lifestyle said (this is the jest but not quoted) Maggie liked her lifestyle, it wasn't luxurious or anything, but they were comfortable.
They had 3 homes. One on 1700 acres with fields of crops, a giant dog kennel, hundreds of guns, 2 private islands. Considering 90% of americans d9n't have more than $400 in savings it sounds pretty luxureous to me.
After that kid got away with three murders the only one that made the major news is his own murder. Of course he had enemies

There's a total of 3 deaths related to this family in a pretty short period of time. 2 of which are related to Paul and one death is of their housekeeper who they said tripped and fell in their home. There was zero investigation and the dad paid off her family. Their son was a prick and a drunk and this family covered for him and had the cops not take proper evidence, etc. The good ol boy network. Have a hard time feeling sorry for them.

This family is connected to 3 deaths: the girl in 2019, then a gay friend from the oldest son and the maid. In all 3 cases, nothing is moving forward. Feels like this family is good at covering things up or stalling, as in the case of the girl. I'm suspicious about these 2 family members.

They are innocent, the girl shouldnt have gotten into the boat and whoever murdered them should be shot in the head

I found a news article relating to the 3 individuals, but don't know if they can be defined as "murders". 1) Stephen Smith's death was determined to be a hit and run; 2) the housekeeper was a "trip and fall" and 3) Mallory Beach who was killed in a boating accident due to Paul driving under the influence. He was charged with one count of boating under the influence (BUI) causing death and two counts of causing great bodily injury.

@@stewartallen7288 I just watched a crime channel that said their housekeeper died by tripping over a dog and hitting her head awhile ago and a young man was killed by hit and run near their house and investigators received an anonymous tip that the mother and son may have some info on that. I’ve watched most of the trial so far and I can say with confidence there’s no concrete evidence tying him to the crime and there’s plenty of people who had motive to kill them. The standard of “not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt” is important...

Hi, there, I hate to be the one who writes this, but it may be true that somebody killed Paul, and killed his mom in order to protect himself/herself from retaliation and or because Paul's mom would go to law enforcement and make truthful accusations about this misdeed. That's why some people stay away from the scene of a crime.
The mother is guilty of association and more than likely helping to further and cover up.

In my other reply to the. Original comment, this set of murders was probably comitted by idividuals who felt wronged by this family and finally acted on their own. Good or bad is in the eye ofthe person judging.
I understand this family attained a great deal of wealth, power and influence in this region and that doesn't come without someone, somewhere, sometime paying the price for it.
Maggie was collateral damage, she was there by mishap and the shooter had to eliminate any witnesses.

Either he arranged for himself to be shot to clear the heat from him (in broad daylight and apparently from pretty close and they missed? Seems staged) or the person/s who killed his family as a form of some kind of revenge wasnt done and wanted to take Alex out too. Idk. We shall have to wait and see.
My money though... Is on this being staged. You learn enough about this story it just doesnt seem probable to me.

To be frank; based on the evidence and the case given by the State, I don't think a guilty verdict was an accurate verdict. And some of the jurors have some out and said effectively they were totally biased from the start. I'm not saying he DIDNT kill Maggie and Paul (I don't think he pulled the triggers but maybe he knew about it) but the State definitely didn't prove that case. Was a very underwhelming trial in terms of evidence for "beyond a reasonable doubt". And the State said as much not only in their case-in-chief but they did so again either on Rebuttal or during closing arguments, I cannot remember exactly at the moment.
I have no care in the world for Alex Murdaugh, but I have a HUGE care in the world for the State doing their job and proving the case for the charges they brought. In this case, in my humble opinion, they did not.
@@itz_premium I agree there was reasonable doubt but both the defence and prosecutor did a rather poor job. Definitely think Alex was there at the time but I don’t know for sure if he did it. Maybe part of me wants to believe someone couldn’t do that to their family but his testimony kind of felt like a giant act and it had me on the fence. I think he could have been the shooter but there could have been a second shooter because it seems strange to use two guns when they most likely had another 22 bullets in the AR. I mean they could have picked up the guns at the shed as they repeatedly said those guns always got left down there but that is not premeditated and if he brought them down on the cart from the house and planned this whole thing out you’d think he would load the whole clip in preparation before leaving. But then again if he did this shit he is insane to begin with and could have just botched the plan when he could have just disappeared them and called them in missing after he cleaned up the scene. Whole thing is bizzaro land and the other thing was they said Maggies phone wasn’t correlated with the speed of the Truck when it moved from the shed to the ditch which I thought was strange as well. The nail in the coffin though is all the lying about not being there when his phone and truck proved he was, his phone call with police at the time of the murder sounded not like I would have expected someone who just found their family dead, his testimony looked like an act. I just can’t make out with no physical evidence and I don’t know what he did with the murder weapons because the lady looking after his mom said there was no way he had a gun under the blue coat. Plus the blue coat had no splatter on it just gun shot residue which I mean they live on hunting land and shoot guns all the time so not out of the ordinary plus if he shot paul he would of got blow back from the shotgun and been hit by both pellets and paul all over him which he couldn’t have cleaned all of it off there would of been micro dna. No physical evidence has me iffy too but I don’t see no other option but Alex and maybe he had help.

You should look deeper into this family and what they’ve done. Paul, and this family, are suspected in 3 deaths.. one a murder (Mallory beach) who he killed while drunk driving a boat. Shitty family. The father was about to lose millions of dollars too, he had the most to lose because of his son.

I bet instinctually both brothers immediately thought Alex did it, but then pushed that out of their heads as hard as they could.
My heart aches for the loss they are experiencing. No one should ever lose family in such a manner.
Regarding the case against Paul, I take issue with them discussing their family “influence” and it being nonexistent. Being from the area where this family is, and being a SC resident, to say they have no influence in the law and didn’t “interfere” in the case against Paul is BS. His friend Connor on the boat was initially pinned as the driver. By who? One of the cops with ties to the family. The other passengers who survived confirmed Connor was not the driver. Connor did say he wish he had been driving due to how intoxicated Paul was. And what did the police do? They didn’t even use a breathalyzer despite witnesses at the scene saying he was grossly intoxicated. Why perhaps? Maybe it is because the two cops who came to the crash site had connections to Paul’s family. All the surviving passengers said he was the driver. They are incorrect in saying their family has no influence in the matter.
Mallory Beach’s family deserved a proper investigation. Paul and his mother should be alive today. The entire story gets crazier and more twisted. It’s all tragic.
Exactly! They were well-connected in the system. They even mentioned it in that audio we heard. Now they are downplaying their connections. Literally three generations deep. The Beach family is owed justice.

But at the time of this interview.... these brothers were not aware of the snap chat video that placed Alex at the scene of the crime! Alex kept telling his brothers that he wasn't. They heard him admit it in trial though. Alex was found guilty on all 4 counts! Meaning he killed his child and wife.
Alex either did it himself, paid someone or it was well deserved.
Well, we know now that Alex did in fact go to all of the people involved in the accident and tell them NOT to talk to police. So he already lied to his brothers before the interview.
