Lost debit card excuse was a lie; Most major banks will generally refund your money sometimes in hours or even up to a few days subsequent to fraud while they conduct their own investigation. He would’ve been without his funds a max, maybe 2-3 days after his card was reported stolen. I’m calling BS on the play

Please don’t be nice and give or sell someone a vehicle that stays registered in your name. You can be held liable for what they do. Go to the office TOGETHER and sign the paperwork. I learned this lesson after trying to be “nice” and not remove my tag so a relative could drive the truck I sold him back to his home in another state.

Christmas eve last year my debit card info was stolen and i had to close the card. I wasn't sure how many of my bills were paid auto by debit or checking. Tolls was debit. They sent me an email letting me know the card failed. I then called and set up my new one. His excuse is lame.
I lost my debit card last week while on vacation out of town. I reported it lost on line which cancelled the card then drove to the nearest bank branch where they made me a new card on the spot.

He is the WORST kind of ex that does EVERYTHING he can to make the Plaintiff miserable. Over 4k in tolls is willful, purposeful, and spiteful AF. I can almost guarantee he started the toll charges right BEFORE the divorce(became final) in order to make it a marital debt that would be much harder for the Plaintiff to recoup. I hope she at least gets something from JJ. As he seems like the type to ignore paying any kind of judgement against him.
Well those tolls are retroactive so they go back years prior and with $4k owed sounds like a few years of charges. I doubt he was driving in circles for years before their divorce just in case they divorced

1:03 That's a LIE because they don't charge the cards EACH TIME, they would take money every month or whatever. On a fixed time period or else they would require a minimum balance to be on the account at all times. Having a stolen card doesn't affect that.

No, she doesn't have more power... We're not watching a real courtroom, JJ's court is arbitration. If the family court judge addressed the tolls already (even by just telling him "pay it") the plaintiff needs to seek recourse in that court.

Not every city has toll ways put let me warn you guys if you get them PAY THEM immediately lol. I had a $8. Toll that I ignored then forgot about. Well three years later I had to make a payment plan to them for $382.00 😢. It doesn’t go away just up in price.
That marital debt explanation isn't true in Calfornia- once you're legally separated (which can be a simple as moving out) then the debts accrued from then on are usually considered separate.

Depends on where you live and how many you pass through en route to and from work. What I know from experience is if they have to mail you anything they tack on admin and other fees. Also he had late fees. And they accrue interest. Yeah, he should have bought a toll pass yet it sounds like he was being spiteful 😠.
