  • COVID Vaccine Waiver Based on Religious Belief or Moral Conviction
    In this video, I discuss how applicants for a Green Card or immigrant visa may apply for a waiver of the new rules that require COVID vaccination in connection with the immigration process. A blanket waiver and waiver based on religious beliefs or moral conviction is available for those who refuse to get vaccinated. Watch for more details.

      My wife has been in the us for 5plus months and within these months we had a baby and she had complication which required extensive time in the hospital. I petition for her in 2020 and got approved in August 2021, however we are still waiting on the embassy in Jamaica to schedule her for interview. Should I allow her to go back to Jamaica and wait on the interview with the baby or wait until the embassy schedule an interview date before she travel back to Jamaica.

      Hi, perhaps you can help me figure out a discrepancy? The waiver requirements are that one must have a Religious Belief or Moral Conviction against all vaccines. So, how is Covid Vaccine waiver helpful when it's opposed to the waiver conditions? Please, explain this contradiction?

    As a non-religious individual it basically feels impossible to successfully go the 'moral conviction' route with this waiver. How is one supposed to prove they are against vaccinations without using religion OR scientific reasoning (my reasons for not getting vaccinated are purely rooted in science but this is not allowed). How am I supposed to prove to USCIS that I am merely morally against vaccines? What kind of evidence is even possible to show? It is very depressing knowing all this time and money spent during this immigration process was just going to lead to me getting likely denied because of a bs vaccine requirement.

      Hi, It could be for moral conviction. Just fill out the waiver I-601 and write a letter about your reasons. If it's because science, show the facts. I'm Christian but I'm against this vax cause side effects so, I wrote about friends that had consequences to got this vax and FDA side effects, FDA has a list in website, so... list all of these.

Hopefully soon I can give you feedback about it. The weaver is for immigration not for the surgeon.

      Well, you have your own moral values and that counts. I'll give you mine: I believe in sacredness of the human life. Vaccines are developed using cell lines form aborted fetuses. If you are pro-life, there you have a good ground for opposing vaccines. Also, they are developed with a lot of toxic metals. So all you have to prove is that you don't believe or trust them. If that's your conviction, the go for it.

      Your I-601 will get processed much quicker if you file from within the US.
      To answer your other question, no. You'll do the exam as normal, and when you get to the vaccines, you tell the Civil Surgeon that you intend on filing a I-601.
      If you're in the US, you may file it alongside the I-485 and both will typically finish processing at the same time.

Unfortunately like others have stated there is truth in the fact that it depends on what officer you get, what mood they are in etc. It is terrible. Inhumane to say the least. Not to mention my husband had to stand up at his interview while others were sitting waiting for their turn listening in the same room. The officer did not ask about vaccines. My husband was denied via email when during the interview the officer acted like he would get his green card. I am fed up

    • @steamedhamlet
      @steamedhamlet 2 года назад +6

      @T B Sorry I didn't get notified! So the form I 601 is pretty simple. For people using it for moral and religious reasons to not take the vax, they don't have to fill the extreme hardship section. You have to write a personal statement explaining your morals and religious beliefs and explain how they would be compromised if you were to accept vaccines. I don't know what they're looking for to approve to be honest. It might even depend on the officer reading your waiver request. But for me, I tried to write as honestly as I could and tell my story and why I had decided not to take any vaccines. I tried to speak from my heart and explained everything (it was 12 pages by the end! ) I stayed away from scientific arguements about inoculations. In the end I don't know what they're looking for to approve, but as long as you're honest and do some soul searching so you can talk deeply and sincerely about your reasons, that (in my unprofessional opinion) is the right thing to do.

    • @steamedhamlet
      @steamedhamlet 2 года назад +4

      @@krystian9797 And in the end, it's one of those things where you have to go for it if you truly believe in your reasons regardless of whether it might work or not. If our convictions are strong enough, then they're worth fighting for. If you're following a certain religion and that religion emphasizes caring for your health and body, you can say that the covid vax is unprecedented and we don't know the long term effects so it's not responsible to expose yourself to it as it may compromise your religious duty to take care of your health. It is not advised to single out the covid vax, I should say that. But at the end of the day, if we do what we really believe in, that's all that matters, right?
