I"ve lived in Edmonton most of my life and been to many places outside of Edmonton. I will give you my honest assessment. I will start by saying every place has its pro's and cons. And of course its you who makes it what it is to you. If you are a negative or positive person, and active in life person or a glass half empty type you will see it through your own lens. I have been to Vancouver, Victoria and all on the Island, Interior of BC, Calgary, Drum, Red Deer, Banff, Jasper and all of Alberta, Saskatoon , Southern Sask, Winnipeg, Toronto, Southern Ontarion, Montreal, Quebec City, Halifax and Parts of Nova Scotia, Florida, Indiana, Nevada,Montana, Minnesota, North & South Dakota, Winsconsin, Chicago, Manhattan NY, New York State, Glasgow, Edinburg, and all around Scotland. All these places have so much wonderful parts about them and of course they ALL have their own warts. Edmonton I can say the same too. But I will tell you when I return from all these places, Edmonton is such a breath of fresh air and I feel so thankful to call it home. From the most important things to me, the day to day things people do to get on with life, its so hard to beat Edmonton. Its a million plus city, that to me, always feels small, I can get to most places in 20 minutes, You don't feel crowded or driving forever in sprawl like many cities. It's park system is a real gem, and we are of course situated in the great province of Alberta with wonderful driving destinations that are awesome. Like out great southern city Calgary and all her great events and sights, Banff & Jasper and don't forget our hidden gem...David Thompson area!! Arguably the best camping area in the Province. Drumheller to make you feel like a kid, Who doesn't love dinosaurs? All the fishing zones and hiking opportunity all short rides from Edmonton. Open spaces, parks and clean air. One of the Greatest Education systems in North America. And Edmonton has one of the most amazing hospital, The McKenzie Health Science centre . The province is going through tough times these days, but I have always had work, make a good living and raise a wonderful family all in Edmonton. Yes we have mosquitoes, so what!, Its cold, so what! During the winter there is so much to do, If you are stuck inside your house complaining about the weather well I feel sorry for you. Most summer weekend Edmontonians are too busy camping, fishing, laking, hiking, festival hopping, concert going etc etc to be wining about mosquitos. Yes I love my Edmonton and compared to all the places I've been to, I am so thankful to call Edmonton my home.
Thank-you for the wonderful comment Paul and I could not agree with you more! I have live in and visited many cities and towns and I am very proud and always love returning to Edmonton! Life is what you make of it and if you have a negative attitude that will surround and dominate your thoughts. Stay safe and well, maybe I will see you around this beautiful city one day! :-)
Fringe festival is second largest in the world. I think it's a real privilege to have seen plays the premiered at the EdmoFringe festival only to see it go on to London then New York. Oh you saw that last week off Broadway? Cool I saw that a couple years ago in Edmonton. Lol
I really enjoyed your video! It was really informative and cool to watch I was thinking of moving to Calgary or Edmonton now I am sure I gotta go for Edmonton.
Thanks Tiffany, I think it is so important as Realtors to share what we know with people so they can make informed decisions on the home buying and selling process!
Thank-you so much! (Sorry for the late reply too)! I absolutely LOVED Vancouver, but cost of living and traffic are crazy... Edmonton is a peaceful city, very affordable and good hard working people. Stay well and let me know if I can help with anything!
Mr Patrick Fields , I moved to Edmonton in 2007 , I lived there for one year it was awesome party party , had to move back to Ontario , Edmonton has a place in my heart , one day I may come back to my second home , the best thing about Edmonton is you never have to go without there is always some one who has youre back and I have theirs , work is fun and the pay is good I love Edmonton :)

Thank-you Mary! The city is full of amazing things to see, do, eat and drink :-)! I love getting on my bike and riding around, there are so many trails to go on!
@@PatrickFieldsRE I'm just curious are you still helping clients find houses condos ect? Or are you waiting till things get better? before setting up buyers with sellers.
Hi Patrick. I would like to ask you about the cleanliness of the city. Is Edmonton a clean city or it's like Vancouver or Toronto?in those cities, you can see litter and homeless camping everywhere. It's so important for my family and I. Thanks a lot for your useful video.

Hi friend from the UK what’s so good about Canada and does it rain or snow too much ? I hate the cold and the snow. Do you get Indian food out there ? It’s not cheap at all I am Indian so does matter to me food. The cost of living each time. Housing and rent. What about permanent visas and settlement ok. Yes shopping is very much important to us. The shopping centre and health food what about the doctors and nurses medical centres. Ok yes what about the heavy snow falling and having a education and the University and the cost of living means a lot to me ok. I like to mix but the weather is very cold ok Well love it or hate it. I like warm weather and worry about it. I love the green and good parks. What about doing a business there. Yes is it a safe place to live. I like the sun and long-standing weather sunny times.
