Nagaland has beautiful land and people, all these separatist tendencies are created by the baptist christian missionaries who got all Naga tribes converted to christianity today these churches should play positive role like they did in Mizoram to end any leftover extremist tendencies, ndia is a union of states its not a fereration that u create a country out of it, no one can challenge the territorial integrity of the India state,Nagas are Indian as well they serve in Indian army and are inalienable part of Indian culture and society,,,,
Great video, Mike. You're exploring parts of my state that even I haven't been to myself. I wish to explore these same places some day. Stay safe out there. Keep the videos coming. 💪🏻

Brother Mikey, everything and every little details that you’ve shown in your video is historically correct inked with the blood and tears of our fallen martyrs and our elders who witnessed the account of Indian military atrocities which are still kept as a sign and an movement of the people’s right (The Nagas rights of movement as a free and independent nation) not because the Britishers left but God forbid even after the Britishers conquered almost all the Indian nation but .. The area comprising the present District of Tuensang remained totally unadministered in the pre-independence days and even the mighty British had to declared it as an Excluded Area beyond their reach and their control.. Please, feel free to visit the Eastern Nagaland where the participation of our leaders and the people’s contributions are very less or not mentioned at all. Note : Special thanks and appreciation to our brother @Roving Naga for bearing the torch of the old spirit that our leaders spearheaded in the midst of fire and destruction. Viva La revolution! You think the rest of the other districts were administered during pre-independence era? Laura ase ho, backward mentality. Your mindset is not only divisive by nature but completely ignorant of past realities. Lucky, you people of Tuensang that time. If we didn't took a strong stance at the key strategic locations, you guys would have faced immense atrocities or hardship like us. You should be grateful that we blocked and slowed them down.

It is sad to see such an important place for all the Nagas living across borders in this era still kept without proper maintenance.

Problem for nagaland is that under india rule at least they get to keep their culture, while under independence, there would not be a functioning state due to lack of taxation and high corruption, no functioning institutions, necessary skills etc. So if independent, China would take over instantly, and they destroy the culture of the nations they subdue. So in my language we say: choosing between pest and cholera, but in this case rationally speaking I believe India is the better choice.
I am a native Hindi speaker from Delhi, and I firmly believe that every state and district of my country is unique and has the right to preserve its identity. For this reason, India adopted a quasi-federal structure in its constitution that gave powers to the states. India's diversity must be preserved, and any grievance must be addressed peacefully and democratically. People have the right to voice their grievances and concerns, and the central government has the duty to hear them. However, no Indian will ever support secession of any part of the country, especially after the horrible experience with the secession of Pakistan, which is today the epicentre of global terrorism, rabid hate and extreme fanaticism.
Right on brother. No Indian should ever support secession of any kind, yet it might not be as simple as that. If we honestly take a look at how the union of India was formed, one cannot deny the glaringly existing fault lines. The Nagas are a totally different people; racially, culturally and with no historical links or contact prior to the Union which is forced onto the Nagas. The flags and the sites in the video are a testament to that. The fight for right to self determination and sovereignty is inalienable. Granted, certain generations of nagas may feel closer or more distant according to how India handles the situation but the union will always be a delicate one. It can be a headache or even lethal for India if and when certain entities, both foreign or domestic can easily exploit the fault lines. P. S. I'm not trying to pick a fight or start a debate. This is me just trying to be objective in my analysis.
@@user-fiF5ei8tyah you have every right to share your opinions. It is rather helpful because it gives more perspectives to the rest of us and broadens our scope of thinking and accepting that there might be more to accommodate. Unless we are told, we might never learn to appreciate each other. Exchange of ideas and opinions is crucial and should happen unhindered. Everyone thinks that his or her community is unique in one way or the other, and this thought is not wrong! All secessionist movements in India are rooted in uniqueness and an identity "starkly different" from the rest of India. Kashmiris, Khalistanis, Nagas and other separatists from North-East, even the weak Tamil separatist sentiment in the 1960s- all of them give the same logic to justify their separatism. You can look it up. They all claim a unique history and say that at some point in history they were forced or lured into being Indian. The thing is that these guys are both right as well as wrong. It is how you want to see at things that will shape your opinion eventually. There are two contexts about the phrase "India" here. One is the historic India, or the Civilizational India, or the Indian Subcontinent. And the other is today's Republic of India. Now, those secessionists (as I would call them, some others may use some other terms) who claim that they were never "Indian" are wrong in the context of the historic India, and correct in the context of the modern-day Republic of India. This is simply because the historic India has existed for millennia and its boundaries- as seen by its ancient and medieval contemporaries- are defined by the mountains in the north (Sulaiman in the West, Hindu Kush in the North-West, Karakoram in the North, Himalay in the North to North-East, the Poorvanchal in the North-East and the Arakan in the East) and the seas in the south (the Indian Ocean). These natural boundaries were created due to plate tectonics (Indian Plate hitting the Eurasian Plate) and have always isolated this historic India (the Indian Subcontinent which sits on the Indian Plate) from its neighbouring lands beyond these natural barriers. This led to different civilizations down millennia see the entire Indian Subcontinent as one entity that led to the coinage of the word "India" for this entire land. From the Greeks to the other Europeans to the Chinese to the Japanese to the Arabs to the Persians to the British eventually, all these civilizations had native terms referring to the entire Indian Subcontinent. This is despite the fact that the Indian Subcontinent was ruled by different rulers throughout its vast history and was unified on just a few occasions! So, despite its internal independent kingdoms, the world always viewed the Indian Subcontinent as one civilizational entity. Therefore, every tribe or sect or religion or caste that inhabits this historic land belongs to the Indian Civilization and is an Indian! So, these secessionists are wrong in claiming that they were never Indian in the context of the Civilizational India. However, the modern-day Republic of India was formed in 1947 and so, all these entities preceded the formation of the moder-day Republic. Therefore, they are right here, in the context of the Republic of India. Given these two paradigms, how do we pick one? For me, I pick the first one. The modern-day Republic of India is the natural inheritor of the Indian Civilization and this is accepted the world over. Even though a lot of Indus Valley sites lie in Pakistan, globally they are studied as History of India. This is because the indigenous ancient cultures and traditions of the civilizational India see a continuity in the modern-day Republic of India. Therefore, today's India is the natural inheritor of its civilization! I would personally want to keep this glorious civilization with multiple sub-civilizations (like the Tamil sub-civilization, the Harappan sub-civilization, the Naga sub-civilization, the Tibetan-Ladakhi sub-civilization, etc. etc. etc.) gleam in all its splendour! And for this, I would want to keep all of us united under the Republic of India. Those who seceded up to 1947 have a choice to remain separate of unite. But those that became the Union of India in 1947- either by choice or otherwise- should remain a part of this! And as I said in my main comment, the rich and incredible diversity of India should be preserved and protected. The uniqueness of every entity that constitutes this republic should be valued. True democracy is the only way forward. But at the same time, it is also important that all of us unique entities try to get along with each other to make this union work! A long write-up, but this was my perspective! 🙂
@@therash09 thank you for your reply. You gave such an interesting response it warrants one. I'm on the road and I apologize in advance if I rub you off the wrong way. I just wanna get across some quick points, I will not be able to go into the nitty gritty right here and now -sorry about that- of what was considered India by her contemporaries. I unreservedly agree with your theory about plate tectonics and how it might have an impact on culture and it does holds a lot of credence. But the more important thing we have to consider is how cohesive was that civilization, let alone the nation that we have now, let alone what contemporaries of that time or in our time considers what India is? If the germ of your idea about what the Indian Union is based on *".. those who secede upto 1947 have a choice ... But those that become a union in 1947 - either by choice or **_otherwise_**- should be this** is a very weak and dangerous one, often necessitating the use of force, making the fault lines more bold and just waiting to be exploited, not to mention the bane of India's existence.
@@therash09Today's India is the Natural Inheritor of it's Civilization therefore the Nagas are the Sub- Civilization of India AKA Akhand Bharat AKA Hindu Rashtra??? 😂😂😂 Man this is an enlightened for me. Wish I could find something about the Nagas in the Ancient or Modern History of India (Bharat/Hindustan) Our mighty Super Leader Modiji and BJP/RSS Government can change anything in History. I would love them to Add the Nagas as the Sub-Civilization of the Ancient Bharat 🤪🤪🤪
@@user-fiF5ei8tyah I think the civilization was cohesive. Had it not been so it wouldn't have been visible as one unit to the outside world. They would rather be chronicling "trade/ battle with the Pashtuns", "trade/ battle with the Tamils", "trade/ battle with the Nagas", "trade/ battle with the Rajputs", etc. Instead, they all considered India as one cohesive entity that they saw as distinct from all other contemporary entities, even though they dealt with its individual rulers separately. And this is, as I mentioned in my previous reply, despite the Indian Subcontinent being ruled by multiple rulers and being politically united on only a few occasions throughout history. What the outsiders saw was civilizational oneness, not political. Politically, we were all over the place. So, you're correct on this front. We were indeed not always cohesive on the political front. But on the civilizational front, we were organically cohesive. It is not something which we made effort for. It was all natural because we all belonged to this distinct landmass that was geographically unique. I think you misunderstood my phrase "by choice or otherwise". I was not implying anything but was only referring to history. My point was that my desire is to see those who are today a part of the Republic of India either by choice or in their own words by force (which I summarized as otherwise) continue to be a part of this one political unit which is today a natural inheritor of its grand old civilization. In today's era of nation states, where borders are slated to not change easily and in the globalized world where you can easily become distanced from your neighbours, I would like all of us to remain close to each other under the umbrella of one political entity, respecting each other's uniqueness and maintaining true democracy. Please read that part of my previous comment again. I'm sure you'll make the correct sense of it now. 🙂

Man this is an enlightened for me. Wish I could find something about the Nagas in the Ancient or Modern History of India (Bharat/Hindustan)
Our mighty Super Leader Modiji and BJP/RSS Government can change anything in History.
Salute Mike for traveling to the far near corners of Nagaland 👏

Nagas are Indian by force not by choice.
Agreed 💯💯
@jjbgujjbtuiggYou still have time now; you should consider separating from India. Why don't you seek independence? Is there any compulsion, that's why you still considered a part of India? if yes then shame on you guys😂😂
@jjbgujjbtuigg oh god bro look at these bustard..they have no brain that what are they writing ...but they didn't mentioned their corrupted leaders who eating their money
@@PalashAssameseপলাশঅসমীয়া Look My dearest ignorant and arrogant brother people like you who knows nothing and talk rubbish is the reason we are still against India and its ideology. You don't want to treat people whom you are new to equally and starts blabbering bharat mata ki jai whenever you can. Learn history we have been fighting for decades for an autonomous Nagaland.
Indo-Naga ceasefire is still going on. Nagas are not Indian and never will be.
do you have problem with that....you people have problem with our food and we don't eat cats@jjbgujjbtuiggy
@jjbgujjbtuigg You will still be throwing woman on the fire if not for the British. That's more sickening than anything. You would even trade a person life with a mere cow. A cow is safer in India than a woman. You do not become a better human being by what you eat and what you do not eat.
There is a reason why Indians are hated everywhere they go. You should try travelling and see it for yourself.
Please fix the areas where Indians are known for or look down upon.
In that case why does nagas beg the Indian government for economic funds every year? Last I heard Nagaland isn't self sustainable. You guys can't even generate your own electricity, and depends heavily on funds for survival. I think most of you want to return to the jungles and go through wars with other superior countries again 🤣
@@Naga-Nation indians hated wherever they go? How many countries you went my friend. Even pakistan bangladesh present themselves as indians. All pakistani owned restaurant in west have indian names.
@@Naga-Nation the fact is nagas nowadays are becoming more practical. They must not forget the past nobody should. But again they know being with india is the most pragmatic solution. Naga mahila band is celebrated all over india. we love Taliremen Ao as our captain.
You should go and tell your director, make a film about the Naga struggle and independence
Thank you mike
Mike ...why don't you give us hometown tour ? N m sure people from Nagaland would love ur home tour ..
Nagaland ❤
To my knowledge The meaning of the flag is:
the blue colour represent the blue sky
The star represent the presence of God
And the three different colour represents the different tribes.
I really proud of my people
Naga tiktokers shocked that Nagas are not Indians
Lol😅
