  • This video demos the new Generative Topology Optimization extension, powered by Frustum, which combines topology optimization and simulation algorithms to generate a series of optimized results focused on manufacturing criteria, running seamlessly in Creo Parametric. This was introduced in Creo 7.0.

Note: We're end-of-saling and eventually end-of-supporting Creo Topology Optimization Extension (which for now you can still use on Creo 5.0 and 6.0) in favour of Creo Generative Topology Optimization Extension.

The design in the first 20 seconds, how do we apply moment loads in generative design, Im not able to figure this out, the Moment load in Generative Design looks different from that of Creo simulate and is the same as the load window. (I dont know anything in Creo simulate either)

is it possible to optimize the design considering the maximum permissible stress?

Great feature - i hope it will come to solidworks too

is there generative design included with student licence?

      Hi Prabhu,
Generative Design is not included with a Creo student licence.

I believe the end of PTC has arrived now.

You may wish to rethink that.

@@PTC_Creo FEA, CFD marketplace diamond dozens, ANSYS FOR EXAMPLE. These code has been tested and validated in international marketplace. Creo needs post-processing capabilities in manufacturing you don't have. Manufacturing is coming back and machining 10 years high demand is rocking today.

@@medicalpump9275 You have seen our information about our strategic ANSYS partnership, correct? And our DVP Brian Thompson has already stated we'll be strengthening our ANSYS partnership this fall by adding their suite of high-accuracy, high-fidelity solvers in a future Creo 7.0 update:
      ruclips.net/video/Ppf8RdOyI5s/видео.html
Our strategy is working with those best-in-class, time-proven partners.
Similar story for some of our newer traditional manufacturing offerings, while we're way ahead of everyone else on additive when that wave hits.
PTC as a whole (outside of Creo) is well-positioned for manufacturing booms, and not just within the product side but the major trend of digitally transforming factories as well. That's what ThingWorx is all about, along with our strategic partnership with Rockwell Automation.
I have some videos that I haven't uploaded yet (Creo 7.0 new stuff and tips take priority at the moment) from LiveWorx 2019 where Brian Thompson goes over our whole Creo strategy with respect to upcoming trends, and how our investments in technologies like generative design (which the Generative Topology Optimization extension is just one small piece of) plays into that. It's very well-thought through.
I believe he will give a similar talk in our major, super-popular annual CAD-specific virtual conference event happening THIS Tuesday, which you can register (free!) here: ptc.co/OInt30qr0d9
Our other product managers will have sessions as well.
      Take care!
