It is about time to get into optimization business. I have not seen this tutorial yet but bet it would be outstanding and serves its purpose. Thanks "brilliant Creo mind"
Hello. i followed your steps and it does not work. i get alwayes this error: The preserved geometry is completely outside the starting geometry. Include the preserved geometry in the starting geometry. What can i do?
As you can see this video was created by Creo 7. In new Creo release is necessary to make a small differences....I will try to find some example and I will post updated version soon. Stay tuned, Vladimir
Hi, thanks for your positive feedback...but I do not understand what you are looking for...what name? If you want to use same features...you need to create have proper license for Creo optimization.
Great video, been following it closely to learn how to use topology. I am struggling with selecting my preserved geometry. Troubleshooter says "the preserved geometry is completely outside the starting geometry". I thought I followed your model exactly. Could you help with this please?
Hi James, I would like to help you... But I do not have license anymore for Topology optimization (I can not reproduce steps or simulate errors) Please try to ask on ptccomunity. Thanks for your understanding. Stay tuned. Vladimir
@@lodragons71 not a creo expert , i figured u could select the outer ring of the hole and select extend feature and then a purple surface pops up based on extend u extended , then u can perform the split body . i dont think this is the most effective way to deal with this on the long run but just a work around. hope i explained it well
Hi! Can you please help me with the last stage: when I choose “recognition to b-rep” it always returns me an error regardless of the model. Couldn’t you help me to solve this problem? Thanks!
Can you please advice on how I can export the new generated model as a step file? When I try to save it as a step and open in another cad or analysis soft Im getting the original model and not the Generative designed one. Kindly advice on how I can export the newly generatively designed model alone as a step file. Thanks
@@4kside Thank you. It wud be great if I could just export the generated model. I again tried this. I generated the model with reconstruction value of 1 and as a new part. Then I selected copy only new body. Then I saved two copies. One with sub dividing and another without. Then exported it as a step model. Now when I opened it in Solidworks, the model had the original geometry inside which the newly generated model and the preserved geometry was there. So totally four bodies where there. I deleted all except the newly generated one and saved that alone as step and imported that into Creo again. It showed import validation errors. Sorry I'm just confusing you 😂😂. Do let me know in ur free time.
I'm getting the following error in generative design -->Preserved geometry. "The preserved geometry is completely outside the starting geometry. Include the preserved geometry in the starting geometry". I have tried to rectify this by changing the accuracy, but the error still exists. Can you help me??
Hi Sanjay, I am not able to help you because my license of Topology optimization is not valid anymore. In our company we have changed Creo packages and now is not possible to use it any longer. Good luck with your project. Bye Vladimir
Hello, thanks for your question but in Creo 3 is not possible to use it.. And also I think that is not possible to run Topology optimization. You need some new release of the Creo
Hi, I do not understand your question. Creo Parametric is separated Instalation, same as Creo Direct. If you are using Creo elements pro 5.0 (it is new name for ProENGINEER Wildfire 5.0) for Creo 6 you need to install Creo Parametric 6.0
Thanks for your comment. Some details: Creo Topology Optimization helps you find the best distribution of material in your 3D model to meet your goals, such as to reduce mass, avoid a resonance mode, or minimize thermal stress or deformation. Topology optimization does not require an initial design. Typically, the design starts with a block of material formed by a large number of finite elements.

you described the perfect cycle of money
Nice example. Multibody seems like a specialized extension. Injection molds with multiple materials would be another example or perhaps weldments.
thank sir! This tutorial's very useful for me!
Hi i have problem. I can't choose those holes like you at 2:54. I can choose only one part of one hole.
Hi, try to check 2:23 I have created surfaces for selection (used later in 2:54)

谢谢你,这给了我很大帮助
thanks,it's help me a lot
great stuff thx i love generative design.
Hello Vladimir and thanks for this super optimization, should I re optimize a mesh to 3D print this part
Hi Frederic, if you need model for 3D print.. You can use this type of optimization and then Latice feature.
You did a good work bro. Can you please tell me what the name of the component.. Please

Nice tutorial, is your channel got some tutorial about importing pcb design to creo?, thanks
Hi, I know that is possible to manage PDB design in Creo but I do not have experience. Sorry, I can not help you with this topic. Stay tuned. Vladimir
Thanks sir, :)

Hi James, Preserved geometry should be completely inside the starting geometry. Please see if it lies in it.
I'm getting the same issue, did you ever figure this out?

Thanks sir, I am getting problem with split body of that circular portion/hole. The hole is not getting selected
Try to create directly 2 features separately
你可以多次分割再使用布尔命令。
Perfecto....🤘
Cool design software. How do we know if the solution found is the local or global optimal solution? Anybody knows?
The "Generative design" icon is not available in my creo-6, how should I fix this?
Sorry, you have to upgrade to Creo 7 and latest.. Creo 6,do not support it.

Hi, i have your same problem! CREO 9.... have you resolved it?
Don't split. You must create a new bodies in design mode.
im getting a error like this "Optimization has failed" ?
Hi, I will try to create new tutorial for Creo. 10.
It is a little bit different as in Creo 7 as shown in the video.
Please stay tuned. Vladimir
Sir I'm using creo 3.0 .
In this version there is no split body option. how could I get it sir
Hello, thanks for your question but in Creo 3 is not possible to use it.. And also I think that is not possible to run Topology optimization. You need some new release of the Creo
I just checked the PTC site, GTO is available from Creo 7 (you have to update your old Creo) Bye Vladimir

Nice bro
my software generative design can't open?how fix it
Please contact your local PTC reseller. Bye, Vladimir
hi when i click generative design its not opening i am using creo 8 could you help me please
Hi, you need Topology license... It is not included in standard packege of creo

Great video thanks, but please do commentary instead of this awful music! Thanks!
this is not topology optimization.....this is generative design which is different
