I’ve been watching your videos for a bit and so far you’ve taught me all I need to know about oil paint. Recently I’ve been working with oil and I’ve been painting oil over dried acrylic for a few days, the paint hasn’t fully dried but it’s almost dry to the touch and I’m realizing that I should have painted it with acrylic instead. I know it’s a waste of oil but is there a way to remove semi-dry oil paint off an acrylic canvas? Thank you so much Paint Coach!

Thank you for another great video. You are the best teacher of oil painting on the internet, in my humble opinion. I used to paint fairly good landscapes in oils - or so I thought. After a year of watching all your videos, and a bit of practice, I now see how mediocre my efforts really were, and I have moved to a higher level (again, IMHO). I now paint portraits, which I never thought possible, but you really have given me the skills to make a much better job of that than I ever did of landscapes. I had no idea that oil painting rules and tips could be so learnable, but with your help, they really are. Thank you, hugely. 🙂

Been today to Prado museum I was impressed by Raffael Rubens Velasquez Bosch and Sorolla. Sorolla and Raffael gave me strong emotions did not know a painting can have such an emotional impact. Really overwhelming. ❤ Need a couple of days to go back to baseline.

Hi I'm curious if it's possible to paint with oil paints on 300-gram paper so that there are no streaks left by the brush. I'm a beginner, so I wanted to try my hand at the right paper before I decide to buy canvas and I don't want to ruin it. Do you have any tips?

Have you tried canvas card board (carton toilé, not sure about the translation)? It's very cheap and convenient, and designed for oil.
I use illustration board that I gesso. You can also gesso paper.
I paint in acrylics….will this lesson be feasible for me or just oil painters?
Yes you can go through paint week with acrylics
