    For people with Uefi not showing the CD/DVD option, disable UEFI in the boot tab

    Hey Johnny ! Thanks for the video... Would you tell me how to create a bootable DVD for Windows 8.1/10 in UEFI format for GPT partition scheme ?

      +Srihariharan Ganesh You meant like the DVD Windows 10 that I use at the end of the video? If yes, that Windows 10 Microsoft release for FREE DOWNLOAD for testing purpose. When I download that Win 10 OS, it is in ISO extension format. Then I use the software called "ISO BURNER" and burn the ISO to DVD disc. Here is the FREE SOFTWARE ISO BURNER, if you want to use >> www.freeisoburner.com/

    Johnny, Thanks for ur reply. But I know how to burn an iso file to a usb or a DVD (I did it a hundred of times). But please try to understand my problem . There are two types of boot - UEFI and legacy . And also there are two types of hard drive partitions - MBR scheme and GPT Scheme . I know the old system (MBR on legacy) very well . Now I also know how to make a bootable usb in UEFI Format for GPT partition scheme. Now please tell me how to make a bootable DVD IN UEFI FORMAT FOR GPT PARTITION SCHEME.

    • @JohnnyDang2013
      @JohnnyDang2013  8 лет назад +1

      +Srihariharan Ganesh OK, I understand your problem now. Basically, the GPT is helping to format the hard drive larger than 3TB, and the MBR is mostly use for hard drive less than 2TB. The GPT and MBR are not effect much in booting dvd process. Your problem is that you have the UEFI BIOS. Well, in this video I did show you how to boot from UEFI BIOS. That doesn't help you at all? Like I said in the video, almost every MOTHERBOARD may have a different UEFI or LEGACY BIOS. You have to use the way I show you and get the idea. Then work on your motherboard. If you still didn't get it to work, you use a cellphone or tablet to take some pictures of your UEFI BIOS and let me see how your UEFI BIOS look like. Then I could able to help you more from there.

      Did you make a HARD-SHUTDOWN AND RESTART yet? HARD-SHUTDOWN is meaning you PRESS AND HOLD POWER BUTTON until you computer shut down, after that restart computer back.

    How would this work on a new build that doesn't already have windows installed?

    • @JohnnyDang2013
      @JohnnyDang2013  8 лет назад +1

      On a new build system is much easier. Normally, the after market motherboard company always creates a key to enter LEGACY OR UEFI BIOS. For example like DELETE, ESC, or F2 key. You must check your motherboard manual or sometime it show as bottom of the monitor when you turn on the power of your computer. Once you enter your UEFI BIOS, then you DISABLE "FAST BOOT AND SECURE BOOT CONTROL". After that, you might see the BOOT DEVICES OPTION, and set your "DVD-DRIVE OR USB", which ever you like as your 1ST BOOT DEVICE.

      i have windows 8.1 dvd and it's not booting on UEFI mode and windows 10 dvd works. why? 8.1 cd boot when secure boot disable and legacy dvd option enabled. Im using Dell inspiron 15 3000 series i3 5th gen laptop

    • @JohnnyDang2013
      @JohnnyDang2013  8 лет назад

      As you said, after you DISABLE SECURE BOOT and ENABLED DVD OPTION. Your Win 10 DVD boot up fine, but your Win 8.1 DVD is not. That mean, your Win 8.1 DVD is something wrong. Probably, your Win 8.1 DVD is MISSING BOOT FILE. You need to double check that Win 8.1 DVD by using it with some other computer or laptop to see it boot or not.

      @mihithalayait5670 8 лет назад +1

      ***** 8.1 DVD can boot some laptops in UEFI enabled. Some dell laptops doesn't. I thinks the ISO file has older version of boot file that does not recognize newer bios

      That right Mihithalaya IT...Microsoft try to make people using Windows 10 in the future. Therefore, the NEW VERSION INTEL PROCESSORS won't able to support Windows 7 and 8. Read this article >> www.theverge.com/2016/1/16/10780876/microsoft-windows-support-policy-new-processors-skylake
