- A Classic song where the 8 Nation Alliance (United States, Germany, Japan, Italy, Great Britain, Russia, and Austria-Hungary), The Netherlands, Belgium, and Spain, as well as Chinese Christians, fought against The Yìhéquán (Boxers) and the Qing Empire. To my knowledge, this is the only instance where all 11 nations (12 if you count the Chinese Christians as another nation), were on the same side of any conflict. This English version features 2 additional verses by yours truly! Lyrics Below!
Lyrics:
[Chorus]
Bom, bom, bom, bom, bom, bom
Bom, bom, bom, bom, bom, bom
Bom, bom, bom, bom, bom
Bom, bom, bom, bom, bom, bom
The year was nineteen hundred 'tis worth remembering
The men who lived through fifty-five days at Peking
T'was called the Boxers Insurrection a bloody oriental war
Against all nations of the diplomatic core
The flags of France and Britain
How they fluttered in the breeze
The Italian and the Russian and the flag of the Japanese
Then came the sound of bugles
And the rolling drums of doom
And the streets of Peking were as empty as a tomb
[Chorus]
The Nations built defences, ragged as they were
As their leaders got together, for the plan there to concur
Austrians joined with Frenchmen,
Ameri’cans with Germans too
Italians fought by Japanese
And The British held on true!
But all of this to not mistake
The fact that there were more
For 11 nations fought along with the Chinese Christian Corps
[Chorus]
The Nations numbered 400 but the horde we couldn’t count
Yet for each of us that went down, the odds we did surmount
But just as were almost lost,
and surrender sounded good
A young boy brought us good news
and we all understood
For only 100 miles
In the city of Tianjin
The Relief army was coming to save our skins.
[Chorus]
For many among the wounded, then joined the fray again
For the glory of our last defence was greater than any pain
But They stormed the French Legation
They attacked with shot and shell
And they came in blood red blouses
Screaming "sha’shau" (杀殺啊) as they fell
The drums have long been muffled
The bugles cease to ring
But through the ages you can hear them echoing
Thank You For Watching!
Songs are running late this month so apologies all! This song I've been quietly hoping to get out for a while, but I kept running into issues recording and editing this past week. Hopefully it didn't hit the quality of the video! If you want to support me please check out Patreon:

Also for those interested in the historical context of the song, turn on closed captions, I went though *relatively* in-depth detail as to the context for the lines.
Thank you again!

No need to be sorry you did a wonderful job
Best crossover event in history. America, Germany, and Russia should totally do a collab again.
Well US and Germany already have, while Russia on the other hand…..
@@gribbitsgames5455 Russia being a bullet in the butt and won’t likely collab again..
@@gribbitsgames5455 what do you mean russia russia has died long ago in 1917

The Biggest "Me and the Boys Moment" in history
I wrote an English (British-Raj) version, It's actually just the English version with some alternative verses:
The year was 1900,
They worth remembering
The men who lived through
55 days at Peking
Beyond the Himalayas,
The Rebellious Boxers war
Against all nations
Of the diplomatic core
The flags of France and Britain
How they fluttered in the breeze
The Italian and the Russian
And the flag of the Japanese
And the banner of the Spaniards
And Belgium I could tell
Germany and the Austro-Hungarians
The Stripes-and-Stars as well
The Empress of all China
Gave the signal to begin
And let the foreign devils
Be driven from Peking
The Hindus and the Moslems
The Buddhists and the Sikhs
Came to aid the Christian captives
55 days at Peking
The drums have long been muffled
The bugles cease to ring
We came back to India
Hanged our guns after Peking
Note: I'm not Indian, nor British. If there is some mistake or something I should correct. Please response this comment. Thanks.
"And the stripes and stars as well" that goes TOO HARD
@@FishbedFive I also wrote an Esperanto version (it's in my channel) unfortunately, I'm not good at singing. that's my first time actually.

Damn Karl Sternau has an American twin
Yet another banger, love your voice and the different pacing with the music.
Your channel is so underrated, your singing is amazing!
a truely amazing moment..the germans, french, british, russians, italians, austrians and hungarians, and americans..all of which would slaugther eachother in 2 world wars where together over 90 million people where lost...would fight together side bye side..its truely amazing
It's crazy seeing you release all these songs, I remember when you just had like five!
Nice job on this one! Wish we had more weird crossovers like this.

the year was 2024, its worth remembering the men who lived through 55 hours at beijing.
it was called the orwellian resistance, a bloody war against all nations of the allied invasion fleet
the flags of America and Britain, how they fluttered in the breeze
the French and the Germans and the flag of the Japanese
big brother xi gave the order, let the NATO army be driven from beijing
the Uighurs and the Tibetans,
the activists and the partisans

This is a lot better than the original!
A great cover with added lyrics
Beautiful
Underrated
Goosebumps.
Honestly, it’s amazing what happens when everyone is so united… 🇺🇳
I like this more than the original
Could I use this song in a video?
So long as the video isn't overtly political and you give credit (ideally a link back to this) go for it!
I now know it all.
Best version
Hi again! I wrote an Esperanto version (it's in my channel) unfortunately, I'm not good at singing. that's my first time actually.
Lyrics:
Ho nekalkuleblaj; civiluloj, milisanoj…
Vivoj multaj suferis en kvindek kvin tagoj!
Kiom da vivoj ili suferos?
En Pekin(o)'; kvindek kvin tagoj
Amazing film.
Man you know you're the bad guy when almost every industrial country in the world has a bone to pick with you
Well every industrial nation had stake in the rebellion: if the boxxers won their china would be hostile to the west, there wouldnt be any trade and thus no profits. I mean the unequal treaties and legation cities were just ways to keep China on her knees.
Amazing singing, not as good as the original but that guy was one of the best ive seen. Overall great video!
Time for round 2 boys.
