  • "A Better Place" is the second video from Glen Campbell's critically acclaimed album "Ghost On The Canvas." The video features a special guest appearance from Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age, Kyuss, Them Crooked Vultures), and is directed by Kii Arens and Jason Trucco.
The legendary singer, guitarist, and television star, Glen Campbell was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease last year. Following more than 20 Top 40 hits and selling 50 million records worldwide, Campbell this year received a Lifetime Achievement GRAMMY Award (his 8th GRAMMY to date). He is currently midway through his "The Goodbye Tour" to say a fond thank you to his legions of loyal fans. Campbell's final studio album "Ghost On The Canvas" is out now on Surfdog Records. The album represents a poignant look back at his life and career with contributions by the artists he continues to inspire.
This farewell video features Campbell looking back at his life and career. He also sends a personal message to his wife, Kimberley, a former Radio City Music Hall dancer that the Rhinestone Cowboy met on a blind date in 1981. "My love goes out to Kim, my amazing grace. You've been by my side through these changing times, and it means the world to me."

R.I.P., to a true superstar musician....this is as if he was saying "farewell" to his loved ones and fans with this song. I couldn't hold back my tears just hearing this and seeing the photos of him as I remembered him in my own youth. Such a wonderfully full life and I am certain that Glen in his lucid moments looked back and thanked the good Lord for everything. We all thank you too, Glen. May you always be Gentle on our minds and in our hearts. Peace my friend.

Dear Glen, hope you able to read/hear this. Not sure the year but my Dad was in NY on business from the UK, possibly the 60's and first saw you in Macys , singing and promoting your LP "Gentle on my Mind". Well dad bought the LP and you signed it to me, Laurian. I treasure it and still have it along with one you did with Bobby Gentry. Glen we have all done bad things and have regrets, thats life. One thing I hope and pray for is that we meet on that golden shore with the Lord and you can play again to us saints and Him who reigns - can't wait. To be Born Again and saved for all eternity we must believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of all our sins. THAT is the gospel we preach. Love you Glen and your music, see you one day. Maranatha!

I really wish I would've gotten to talk to them as an adult. Ask them about their hopes, fears, dreams, disappointments, proudest moments, etc... anyway, best of luck, anthony.

I grew up listening to and watching Glen Campbell as a boy on a ranch in Idaho. I always loved, "Try alittle kindness". My family has dealt with it's share of Alzhiemers, so my heart is out to the Campbell Family. Like Steve Adams, I spent a few years in radio and had the pleasure of playing Glen Campbells music. I now fly airplanes for a living and I can still apply this wonderful music to my life.

When I was much younger, my Mum worked at a Kiosk for a domestic Australian airline. She immediately recognised Glen Campbell when he came to the counter, during an Australian tour, to buy some gum. When Mum told him how much, he pulled a handful of change from his pocket and as we guitarists often do, it contained some guitar picks. Mum said, "my son's learning guitar and he would love one of those", pointing to the pick, and offered to pay for the gum in return for the pick. Glen Campbell smiled and gave her the money for the gum and a couple of guitar picks, which bore his name. When she brought them home I was in awe and used those picks for ages, hoping that I might be half the guitarist that he is. Sadly the picks wore away and I am still not even close to being half the guitarist that Glen Campbell is. However, I am still playing all these years later and I put that down to the generosity of a wonderful man and wonderful musician. Though our bodies give way, the music will live on forever and for one Aussie boy, the memories of how great people never lose sight of where they began. I will play some of Glen's songs this Saturday night at my gig with fond memories. Though I never got to meet you, I feel that I know you. Thank you for being you Glen Campbell

Right up to the end of his career Glen was making great music that contains every ingredient that is missing in today's top 40 hits....a beautiful melody with meaningful lyrics and excellent vocals. This is a better song than anything in mainstream music today. Today's cookie cutter pop and country stars need to take notes from real music like THIS.

This song reminds me about my wife. It was her favorite song before she lost the battling to cancer, I wish I could change the hands of time, I miss her smiles, she was always there for me and our lovely daughter, and I never miss a moment with her, life could be so unfair most times, there is some pain, I will cry in vain but won’t let you know how I will feel yes, I will miss you to the core! but some times i wonder why bad thing always happen to good people. She’s always in our heart.😊

We can't begin to realize how you must feel in your own mind. The confusion and deep fear that goes with this disease. My heart goes out to anyone and their families who deal with the depths of Alzheimer's. I pray that Glen can be at peace in God's hands.

To Glen Campbell, what a beautiful farewell tour, one class act, just as you have always been. I lost my mom from this terrible disease. 7 months ago, in the end she didn't even know who I was anymore! All in all, the world has been good to me too! Thank you for all of your years of wonderful entertainment!

My late wife succumbed to this terrible disease in May of 2018, after battling it her last four years. God allowed us 51 years together and I look with great anticipation in seeing her forever again in that "Better Place." Also known as Heaven. The last song she and I sang together was ironically Wichita Lineman, recorded by Glen...

I keep coming back to Glen's songs and videos over and over. I was barely a teenager when I'd watch him on the Smothers Brothers show, then on his own show, on guest appearances, buying his albums and listening to them till I wore them out. I never had the good fortune of meeting him, but I felt like he was a part of my life, and I cried the day he died. Such a natural talent, he could do it all. I love his words here, "The world's been good to me". It was, and I don't think he took that for granted. He had a good run, and who could ask for more than that?
