    Nice, the more I see these Goldwings the more I like them. I have two Harleys, a 2005 SE Electra Glide and a 2004 Fatboy. Both low miles and excellent condition yet a Goldwing has my eye.

    Great video! Just bought a 2007 GL1800 and love it! Since I got it I installed the XK Glow LED lighting kit so you can't miss me in the evening. Turn signals, hazard lights and brake lights all light up. Rode the bike from PA to NC and back, smooth as silk. I had a GL1500 years ago so I'm not brand new to GW. Have bought 4 Harleys since selling the 1500 and decided its time to go back to a Wing! Still have my Ultra, which has sat under a cover in my garage since the Wing purchase. Safe riding!

      Sitting under a cover since the wing purchase 🤣🤣🤣🤣 . Yeah it don't matter 1500 or 1800. Both the same but different. I prefer the 1800. However I started with a 1986 GL1200 Interstate. Yeah you are a Goldwinger. Ride safe out there. And thanks for watching 👍

    Just bought a 2002 GL1800A a month ago. I had a 1983 Yamaha Venture, that I just sold. What an amazing ride the GW is. It's burnt orange, like yours and everyone who sees it, just loves the color. I put in bluetooth, LED flasher, a V1 Windshield, the Cal high output LED lights in the rear with the rear turn signals, phone holder with cordless charger... I'll be adding the upgraded rear spoiler brake/ turn light and the high output mirror turn / running light LED bulbs also. I refer to her as the Great Pumpkin... Love it.

    I bought an '04 in April of '21. About 5,000 miles so far. Can't complain!
    I went to a 70 series rear tire as well and agree that it might not be a good idea for a shorter or frail rider. Definitely takes more heft to get it off the sidestand.
    My bike had a Ring of Fire when I purchased it. Unfortunately, half the lights quit working so it was removed. Upon removal, I discovered a thick film of brake dust on the lower forks and rotors. Took a couple of hours, SOS pads and some elbow grease to clean it up.

    • @mosmotorcyclejourney9067
      @mosmotorcyclejourney9067  3 года назад +1

      Thanks Billy Mc for the comment. I will say 5000 miles in 8 months tells me you are a rider. So I guess if I add the ring of fire best thing is to remove yearly and clean the area that can't be seen. Also agree with the 70 series. I wonder if I could drive it off the center stand. Never thought of that. Anyways thanks for the comment. Be safe and Happy New Year.

    Mo is right!! Fog lights are HUGE. Especially at night. Without them it’s easy for a driver to think a single light on a motorcycle is actually one of two lights on a car further behind the bike so the car pulls into the path of the bike due to the optical illusion. It has ended or changed lives. Add fog lights to your bike.

    I have a 2002 gl1800 and it's a beast . I call it my hot rod gold wing. I put cobra slip ons on it several years back ..i think it opened it up alittle more..plus gave it alittle more nice exhaust note. I else gave it a euro sport tinted wind shield. That I could drop down alittle bit. And to also give it a more younger apeal. I put a shorter antenna. So it's got a more sportier look ..i think I. I'm always trying to keep my bike clean ..i want my front rim always with as much shine as possible..but it's aluminum so not and easy process. I installed a blue tooth device for music..with the J And M upgrade speakers as well. It sounds decent. I really would like to get the rims chromed but not easy in California any more. My bike is orange pearl and I bought it new back in 2002. She still looks good. And I don't own a garage but do have a carport which helps.But still have to keep it covered for the most part. Thanks I ride for the " Bikers For Christ " as well and my road name is " Rambler " I'm over here in Carson California. So God's Speed and I do enjoy your videos. See ya!

    I bought a 2008 wing last year with 50k. Put 20k miles on her and my goal is to hit 250k. My biggest complaint is the plastic rattles over rough roads and I can’t find the problem. I also wish it had another gear to bring the rpm’s down and help with mileage.

    • @mosmotorcyclejourney9067
      @mosmotorcyclejourney9067  3 года назад +1

      Thanks for the comment. So you have plastics rattling? I remember I had a noise in the front wheel and found it to be my fender. The front part was rattling at the top of where it touches the area you would put a fork brace. I removed the 4 screws on the front part of the fender and put 2 rubber bushings between the 2 pieces where they touch. Solved my issue. Don't know if that's what's wrong with yours but I have 53 thousand miles on it now. It started around 50 thousand. Hope that helps. Also you could put a 65 series tire on the rear and that will help with your rpm a bit. Be safe happy new year and thanks for watching

    • @mosmotorcyclejourney9067
      @mosmotorcyclejourney9067  2 года назад +2

      Thanks for the comment. I would say yes it's a 900lb bike so it's going to be heavy. However it's also very nimble with the way the motor is put in, it has a low center of gravity. And after bout 10 mph you don't notice the weight. I have never noticed to where the steering was heavy unless ofcourse if the front tire is low on air. Lol I personally have not had hot legs on this bike. And I have been riding in 95 degrees and the only thing I noticed as with any cycle in that temp is you wanna keep moving for the fresh air. I will say I get hot as hell in my helmet. And for the seat , I will give it a perfect 10 for the age. After a 430 mile trip only stopping for gas I was comfortable. Ever since 1984 Honda has been putting a comfy seat on their goldwings. With that being said I have heard the 2018 plus is not that comfy. Hopefully I have covered all your questions and thank you for watching and the comment. Be safe.
