I bought a second hand Goldwing 1800GL A, high milage but good condition and drives really well. Here is a quick look at her,, More on her coming soon...
70,000 km mate its just getting run in ive seen videos from the states with 500,000 miles on them and still going strong they are the pinacle of motorcycling engineering 50 years this year .
You just can not go wrong owning a Goldwing. No bike company comes close to Honda for it's reliability. NONE !!! These bikes are bullet proof. Superbly comfortable, parts are everywhere, cheap maintenance items. I see some bikes with so many miles on them and when they run or idle, they sound like a bike with only 1000 miles on it.
the best bike in your collection by far 2010 Goldwing i have the same year gold wing as yours painted in metal flake red more extras again .....sold my 09 fxd harley off for it twice the bike as the hog for touring
Hello Dan, before I watch your video I, want to remark that I saw so many videos of people buying the 1800 model and it seems to be a bulletproof bike. No matter how many miles on it. I'm considering to buy the 2024 model next year, but seeing all those videos it's better to go for a secondhand. That being said, I now look your video and see if it's confirmed again. I wish you a lot of happy miles. Greetings from Hungary.
I always say that buying a bike should reflect your usage and budget. I only use it at days off work so it is not used alot. This is why I bought an older bike. If I was going to use it daily to commute to work then I might have bought new. I hope you enjoy your purchase what ever it may be.
Very nice looks just like mine I found a very clean low miles 06 last year I've put about 16k miles on it and I'm in love with mine every day is better on a wing I know you will enjoy yours as well hello from Tennessee
Hi,just watched your video sitting in my truck in Inverness, heading back down to Livingston now its 04.30 am,I collect my first ever Goldwing from a Honda dealer in Blackpool in two days and really looking forward to the ride home to Bathgate, just hope it's not pishing down ,jealous of your climate, assuming it's Australia, any liked your video and all the best.Andy
Look forwards to seeing yours when you pick her up. Been a while since I was last at Bathgate. I used to drive for First Bus and before that Eastern Scottish so I know the territory well..
Still hanging onto the KTM, I hope?! Congrats! Sold an 1800 Goldwing for the 1290 SA, myself. I do miss the Wing sometimes and the missus for sure misses it! 😂
I live my KTM, use it every day,, I bought the Goldwing as it is nice to take the wife out on it, although she does ride she prefers coming with me now. It also keeps the milage donw a little on the KTM,,,
@@biker_dan I hear you on all points! I'm in the same boat. Can only have one at a time, now, and though it pained me to do it, I sold the 1800 for the 1290SA. I'll pick up another Wing as soon as we've got the space (2nd hand, not new again!), as it was perfect for 2up. She won't ride on the KTM, says it's no good after about 15min on the little pillion "seat" 😂
That looks to be one hell of a purchase Dan! Are you going to paint things and cut things off with a grinder? :) So glad you managed to find one and buy it - they really are a joy, aren't they?
Hi Dan, I myself have just bought an airbag model, I see that you have a fork brace, How did they get the fork brace around the top of the forks as there are two lugs on the top of the forks which are to do with the air bag sensors. Has the pervious owner modified the fork brace or removed the lugs from the top of the forks? I would like to fit a brace to mine so it will be interesting to see how yours is fitted. Thanks Mark

I will have a look. All done by previous owner though
@@biker_dan Thanks Dan ….. looking forward to hearing what you find 👍
Hi. The fork brace I have is in two half's, means nothing to unbolt.
