The whole “bike cannot come into the ambulance” thing is a real problem for significant crashes. Managed to persuade the paramedics who attended to me when I was jumped on by a fallow deer. Think it helped that 1. It was 2am and 2. The guys I was with knew one of the paramedics.

My note: sometimes the game of "how long can I go without getting on a bus?" isn't worth it. The day that wasn't worth it had BUCKETS of rain falling, a few inches of rain on the ground, big soggy maple leafs, and a little gravel between leaf and asphalt. Slow speed crash but I still went THWAP right onto the ground pretty hard. At first it was ankle issues - I rode home and then it swelled up like a balloon. But the aftermath is that it was the start of knee trouble.
Also 0mph crashes while mounting/dismounting, due to weird backpack or saddlebag loads. Looked like an idiot for those ones!

I fell off my bike a few months ago and hurt the scaphoid bone in my wrist, can vouch for the fact it still hurts like a bitch.

You broke your olecranon no doubt. Likely if the implants have become more prominent it may be it/they are loose or it’s putting pressure on overlying soft tissues that subsequently get thinner until the implant may break through the skin. If it’s a smooth pin you may be able to take it out. If it’s a screw maybe not. You should have it x-rayed and perhaps removed. It may increase your range of motion.

i'm not a bike rider/racer but my mode of transport is on 4 wheels (wheelchair, just in case that wasn't obvious😉) 'my people' can definitely relate to this stuff, fortunately none of my moments of idiocy were ever filmed. basically wheels are just arseholes.
