    Very helpful video. I installed Scotty rod mounts and D-rings on two pontoon boats last night using your products and this video. All in all, it turned out exceptionally well!

    Just used the Clifton urethane adhesive, exactly how you instructed and it worked really well. Now it’s time to wait.

    I just got a inflatable kayak outlaw 2 from you guys and absolutely love it. I am really interested in installing a few of these as they did not come with many D rings.

    Thanks for the video. I've been instructed by a raft retailer to deflate my hypalon raft in order to best prep and install new D rings. The comment was made that its easier and better in order to roll out the glued and placed D ring. In my case, I'd prefer to prep and place the D ring while inflated - similar to your video and different than I've been otherwise instructed. Thoughts?

    Hi, I've just bought a second hand inflatable but the tow-eye/handle had being ripped out. Can this be repaired, if so what reinforcing could I use so it can be pulled up onto a trailer from the trailer pulley?

    Thanks for the instructional video, great tutorial. Can’t seem to find the roller, is it the type of roller used for plastic laminates made of rubber? I have looked in different hardware stores and on internet stores but don’t know for sure which roller you referred to. Can anyone help? Thanks

    Cool video. Do you don’t need to use a heat gun to warm up the glue and d ring for stronger bond?

    • @NRSWEB
      @NRSWEB  2 года назад

      Thanks for the question. A heat gun isn't necessary and could potentially cause more damage. Your best bet for getting a strong bond is in the prep work. Make sure everything is sanded and super clean before you get started.

    You are a professional person. Can you please provide the specifications of the used glue and the method of preparing it?

    • @NRSWEB
      @NRSWEB  2 года назад

      Thanks for the question. The type of glue depends on the boat and patch material. Its best to use the same patch material as the boat. In this video the boat and patches are both Hypalon and we're using Clifton Hypalon Adhesive. If you have additional question feel free to give us a call at 877-677-4327.

    Do you think the sea eagle 370 made of pvc material be a candidate for this product? Hoping to add d rings on the sides...

    • @NRSWEB
      @NRSWEB  3 года назад +1

      Thanks for the question. I'm not sure what weight material they use on that boat but the PVC D-ring patches we sell should work. You just might end up with a patch that's made out of thicker material than the actual boat. If you have additional questions feel free to give us a call at 877-677-4327.

    What do you do if you sand down to the hypalon thru the rubber sealant .

    • @NRSWEB
      @NRSWEB  2 года назад

      Hey Edawrd, In this case you'll want to lay down a good coat of glue and let it fully cure for 24hours before you add the 3 layers of glue required for the patch. The first layer of glue is acting like a primer for the following layers. Feel free to give us a call at 877-677-4327 if you have any addtional questions.

    The intex kayaks are polypropylene.... which works better for it?

    • @NRSWEB
      @NRSWEB  2 года назад

      Thanks for the question. I believe most Intex boats are Vinyl, but they may have boats made out of other material. If your boat is polypropylene your best bet would be to contact Intex and get repair materials directly from them.

    The boat it has to be inflated when you are putting the patch?

    • @NRSWEB
      @NRSWEB  Месяц назад +1

      While not always necessary, or possible, to have the boat inflated when applying patches, folks can often find the process to be easier when the tubes are inflated.

    Can I use Stabond for an Aire Puma instead of Clifton's?

    • @NRSWEB
      @NRSWEB  8 лет назад +2

      +Katrina Williams: Thanks for the question. Yes, Stabond adhesive is an excellent option when creating a bond between PVC and rubber (Hypalon, Neoprene, Pennel Orca etc). When bonding PVC to PVC, we recommend Clifton Urethane Adhesive for its superior bond strength as compared to Stabond. Please reply back, give us a call (877-677-4327), or shoot us an email (service@nrs.com) if you have any more questions.

    i cant find the leakage, i ve try spray method but it didnt work

    • @NRSWEB
      @NRSWEB  2 года назад +1

      Finding leaks can be tough. You might try over inflating by 1 or 2 psi. This can cause the air to push through the leak faster and make it easier to see bubbles. We'd only recommend this for sturdy boats. There is always a risk of bursting when a boat is over inflated.

    Using a protective mask for vapor (and fine particulate) protection without shaving your beard off is pointless. The seal on your face is defeated by the space created by your facial hair.
