Can't see that someone else commented it, so: The picture above the fireplace at Mjöllmille's place isn't Rimuru and Veldora, it's the scene how Mjöllmille and Rimuru first met. It was back in the arc with the children, and a Sky Dragon appeared and Rimuru killed it and saved Mollie. I absolutely love how Rimuru had his bat wings back then and here they are shown as some sort of angel wings

Think the implication is suppose to be that Rimuru himself was specifically chosen by the World and no other "naked" soul was ever able to endure the transfer intact. Or at least that's the take away I've always had til now, may have to pull out the 1st two volumes of the manga and reread to see where I got that notion.
The isekai in this world is like not a rare occurrence they either die and come here at random or get summoned , ladder happens a lot especially children who can grow potential and gain new kinds of powers and use them as tools

This season is just dead story wise and not because of lack of action at all. There is barely any action in Vinland Saga S2 or Shogun but they both are great shows because of its plot and characters -- both these aspects have never been Slime's strong point, it's just generic power fantasy about an unstoppable MC and his unstoppable crew. Hell, it can't even be considered as world building at all. All of this is just waste of time. There is golden rule in cinema «Show, Don't Tell». And this season Slime showing us almost anything, just keeps telling about more and more things that can be actually cool and fun to see with our own eyes instead. Like why are they talking almost the whole episode about building an arena if they can show us an actual process of it instead of another one yapping session? And don't even try to tell me that they are gonna show it later in the season because that fact just makes this whole episode even more pointless than it already is. Like, why? Why do writers and directors of these episodes not bother at all to show us something - literally something? If you understand Japanese you can listen to these episodes like it’s a podcast while doing chores or walking in the park and lose absolutely nothing from that. If so-called «world building» is the price that I as a viewer need to pay for suffering through the boring episodes of a boring season of an overall good show then I might just skip all this shit to the point when «world building» is over and the actual plot comes back. Slime, stop talking already and start showing us something!
