I was just getting ready to end my day, and what do I see? Tommy reacting to Forty Six & 2. The lyrics to this song are too deep to talk about. Thanks for taking this one.

I honestly can’t articulate how much I love this song. It was my introduction and metamorphosis to Tool 25 years ago and my sentimental favourite. I have listened to it, literally, every day since. It has a multitude of everything Tool. Thank you for taking the time to listen to it ❤

Chaos is not random that is a mistake many make. Chaos only seems random because the patterns are so complex it can be hard to understand.
Example: try to conclusively determine the number of sides of a die by ONLY seeing the results. of rolling it . This gets dramatically more difficult with the greater number of sides and the fewer results you see.
This is what our brain is attempting to do with reality. We don't even know the bounds yet we are attempting to understand the mechanisms.

It's a limitation of our biologically imparted perception.
Our dimension of existence locks our perspective.
This is why Einstein in particular was an amazing person. The breakthrough in perspective of reality and its functions and the conceptual idea of meta-dimensional understanding really was beyond what we we're programmed for.

Great great tune. This band is very very deep. I was drawn in by this song and I will never come up for air again. With songs like this, why would you want to. Being a huge Pink Floyd fan, this is in that vein and it's so different at the same time. Tool literally moved my world.

8:55 - Yes, well said. Chaos but somehow rhytmical and organized. That is Tool! I can't wait for June when I'll see them again live. This time in Stockholm, Sweden. Last time it was Prague, Czechia and ... just WOW. If you have a chanse to go see them live, TAKE IT! These guys are not getting any younger and they have been doing this since the early 90's so .. go and see them if you can! :)

Hell yea,you did my boys without me having to use my reaction....lol. This is a phenomenal song, this happens to be one of the most popular tracks by them as well. This song is all about chromosomes and human evolution of DNA. Danny Careys solo in this is Amazing. Having seen them a dozen times almost at this point, seeing him play this is unbelievable.

Probably Tool's most popular (best?) song. Although the general rule is that the best Tool song is always the last one you've listened to.
If you like the structured chaos and the complex rhythms it might be time to give Meshuggah a go. I'd suggest Dancers to a Discordant System. That's a song with some A-level syncopation, beautiful melodies and great groove.
The moment you're into Meshuggah you can truly call yourself a Metal Elitist (with capitals) 😉

Love the intro! I've had Tool on my GOAT list ever since this album. Ahead of its time in '96. When speaking about "the chaotic" and then sinking in you're essentially hitting their track "Lateralus." It's an evolution. Checking now to see if it's in your library. If not it should be. 🌀

First of all tool fans don't hate me. lol From what I heard musically. Yes a lot going on but I heard a good groove and beat in there. Yeah changed a lot too but i'm used to hearing songs like that. But if that's their most popular song I guess i'm not going to get tool. Not saying I'm not gonna like it or listen to songs. There's a lot i've heard that I like in this song and previous. I'll quite simply appreciate them for what they are. My final thought is it's quite possible. It's going to be one of those bands. I'm just gonna have to sit down and listen to over and over and over and decide if I like it or not. One listen isn't going to do it for me.❤ and ✌️ all

Im a old Tool head from the 90s. Favorite band of all time, and Aenima is my favorite album of all time. The song Aenima will blow your mind, so will Pushit, Eulogy, and Hooker with a penis. Yes that is a song name The whole album is amazing but so is their whole discography. Like Maynards voice also check out the Grudge or Ticks N Leeches for not so soft voice. Keep learning to swim my bro
Also on a side note, love your humble, wholesome beginning to your video. We all are going through it together.
