I literally was going to come here and comment about influencers using their platform to sell products that they believe in to their followers. And here you’ve given me the opportunity. How is an influencer promoting a product not the exact same as an MLM consultant selling something they also believe in? This is a legit question.
I’ve been thinking about this… we shame MLM consultants (and some should absolutely be ashamed of themselves and their approaches and whatever else) but I feel like influencers do the exact same thing on the regular, selling a product that either do or don’t believe in for a reward in the end.
@@mebethanyhope i would assume b/c in most cases sponsors pay their sponsor-ees a decent amount of money and are not predatory models of businesses (i.e. Scentird actually selling products and paying their employees a guaranteed living wage no matter how many products they package and ship out) plus sponsors tend to be actually consistent in supporting creators, unlike MLMS and their "support" of their sellers. plus on another hand youtubers and other sponsor-ees are not selling these sponsored products in a predatory or shameful way like some MLM consultants do. but i might be wrong thats just my take on your question as an outsider

I was reminded of why I love my husband because when discussing MLMs (thanks to your videos) he told me he once ended up at a cutco "interview" and when they tried to pressure everyone into giving 10 people's contact information he just stood up and walked out. He didn't know what MLMs were but at 18 knew something was off and didn't care about being polite in a bad situation.
I was at one of those, I left too. I was ticked that they had wasted my time.
I almost ended up in the hospital bc no one told me how much caffeine in it. I told her I couldn't have caffeine and she continued to let me use products that contained caffiene. I am fully anti mlm now.
Sounds like the principal of that high school needs to get an anonymous email... along with Herbalife compliance.
Sounds more like someone needs to go to a school board meeting, bring evidence and also contact the board of health. Every consumable item in a school must meet certain standards of safety and cleanliness. Unless this teacher also has a food handler's permit, she is probably in violation of the county health code.
I can totally relate to the first story because the first person to ever send me a “Hey girl” message was the girl who bullied me in middle school Like, really? You remember how fabulous I was in sixth grade when you poured yogurt in my backpack? 😂
I had a similar experience. Do they not remember how awful they were to you? Why on earth would I trust someone who treated me this way?
@@karenneill9109 I think it’s like they feel like a position of power and hope to continue to prey on vulnerabilities. That’s what bullies do anyway. It’s bold to go back to those who they have bullied but also that mental superiority they felt before must play a role.

@@karenneill9109 There's actually a new proverb for that, which I found in a small online atheist/scholastic community. "The ax forgets, but the tree remembers". The ax, in this case, is the bully. And like the ax, they're not as affected by what they do as the tree the ax cuts down is. And the bully cut you down, so you remember.

@@businessacc179 Their own shaky confidence can only be bolstered by them stepping on others. The only way they feel powerful is if they have power OVER others, yes, I’m sure that is part of it. As a child you never believe that people bully those that they’re intimidated by or those they perceive as weaker than them, because their own self worth is so low. Adults say it all the time, but I never believed it until I was an adult myself and saw how true it is. Bullies are either broken people (broken by years of being abused themselves), or people who have no concept of self efficacy.
The DECA story #3 is newsworthy. There’s photos of inside the school, actual evidence that can be verified.
This is absolutely outrageous.
Especially because you don’t teach kids to invest in a business that cost 5.00 a drink. You can purchase a 4 pound bag of sugar and tea bags to last an entire month. If teachers don’t make much money they shouldn’t be spending 5.00 on drinks. A responsible teacher would tell kids to bring drinks from home. I can only imagine the cost of all the individual bags of supplements you would need to buy to make a “ tea stand” you don’t encourage kids to sell things that they don’t make a profit on. It doesn’t matter if it’s being an entrepreneur or not! It’s being dumb with your money! I think the principle needs to be told and if they don’t do anything then the school board should be told. A teacher should not be pushing her business into the students and if the her students really liked it she was probably encouraging the kids to have mom or dad sign up for the business under her. Since the kids are not old enough. That’s getting way too involved in a students life outside of school.

Like, I'm Canadian and I'm pretty sure we were taught to "create a business, pitch it, make a model, and then make it work" and OUR teacher had almost Game of Life type grab bag of obstacles/issues for ppl to try and work through... This was all theoretical...
The DECA tea shop story really breaks my heart/freaks me out. I did DECA back in high school and we ran a normal convenience store through our business and management class. The thing that’s stressing me out is that though DECA you can go to these contests/ conferences over multiple days to practice your business skills ( i have nostalgia for it but i have problems with how it’s run but that’s another tangent.) The thing that stresses me out is I remember working/competing all day and then spending hours listening to motivational business speakers talk and talk before we got to go sleep. Every time i watch content on MLM conferences all i ever think about are those long fluff DECA talks. Thankfully my DECA teacher taught us about scams but if these kids are being taught by a hun and then going to these conferences I can only imagine how more legit an mlm would look since it’s pretty 1:1 with the whole deca aesthetic. DECA is supposed to teach you how to work in an office structure/understand financial literacy but the idea that some huns have sunk their teeth into a class of students just activity trying to learn about money/work (which is under taught as it is.) makes me sick and so so sad.
Wow you are so lucky your DECA teacher taught you not to fall MLMs. I did DECA and it was a HUGE contributor to my professional development and I loved my teacher. A few years after I graduated she reached out to meet up then tried to talk me into joining Amway 🙃 needless to say I deleted her everywhere and never spoke to her again. It hurt my feelings so much.
I was in DECA too and it makes me sad that they would use MLMs to scam students like that! 😢

The DECA Herbalife shop OMG 😡…. My daughter made it to the national competition for her business plan for her actual, PROFITABLE baking biz, made a beautiful display cake with buttercream succulents all over the top-but added talc to make it inedible bc they’re not allowed to have actual food…. She had a written plan and delivered it orally, some other stuff I can’t remember. But she won 1st place in a bunch of categories and was going to the National competition, but the 2020 shutdowns happened before.
Anyway, it makes me upset bc I remember how much time my girl spent on that club and how closely they work with the staff…. It’s a GROSS abuse of position to get them into not only a pyramid scheme but one as predatory as Herbalife 😡😡😡

Re: the Herbalife shop in the school… I was a high school teacher who did Herbalife. Back then it was just the tea and aloe, but now the teas are PACKED with sugar and caffeine. Why would anyone promote giving MORE sugar and caffeine to STUDENTS?! It’s a recipe for behavioral problems.
My mom’s breast cancer doctor is selling my mom and all his patients MLM supplements. I got soo mad when I saw this because
1. My mom, and pretty sure most patients, didn’t know that it’s an MLM product;
2. They are verrry expensive;
How dare this doctor just sell his patients MLM products? He could offer them but at least give alternatives be because again, they are quite pricey!
Long story short, I found my mom a new doctor.
Ohh!! And since my mom survived cancer. She’s had friends who really believed their product are “THE” miracle anti-cancer product. It’s sad because they really believe this is the case. I have to sit with my mom and explain what a pyramid scheme is and how there is no supplement that can cure for cancer.
PLEASE report that doctor. If they're willing to target your mom, they're definitely targeting EVERY patient they see. They're taking advantage of hundreds of cancer patients! 😭 they should lose their license over this, I'm so not kidding.
@@s0lastsummer7 that’s exactly what I said. I also already reported him but my mom and this doctor are based in the Philippines and things like these go really slow in that country. I don’t even think these things matters to authorities which really sucks because what the heck right?
I hope your mom is able to find a better doctor who treats her instead of selling to her! So frustrating that reporting won’t do much but good for you for standing up for her ❤

I NEED an update on the DECA story. If the teacher who sent you the email sees this comment, I encourage you to report it to the Principal and/or the ethics board. 1) If they're selling food from an undisclosed company/distributor you'd think that would be a health risk to the students. If they know it's Herbalife, then that poses a different ethical question. 2)Where is the money actually going? Are teachers allowed to run a side business in the school?
Reporting it might not do much if your Principal is pro MLM, but if an MLM is being allowed to run through the school unchecked, that's pretty bad. Parents might even be able to sue? School officials should be worried.
I was bummed because I went to a holiday craft fair at my niece's high school and there were FOUR MLM booths- Mary Kay, Arbonne, Color Street and the one with the charms that I forgot the name of.

@@sweetness371Yup, I’m an artist and I like to buy from other artists and go to craft fairs and the like. But my enthusiasm for them has completely diminished because the past several years 80+% of the booths are MLMs or similar scammy vendors. You have to actually hunt for the artists.
It’s so frustrating.
@@lizzyblitz07 The term you want to look for is “floating charms”. There’s lots of companies that make them that aren’t MLM.
And if you’re crafty you could make some using shrink plastic or using UV resin and molds for shaker charms (they’re very small).
Students are drinking things with high caffeine and sugar with buckets of food colouring… great idea! How to make the teacher’s jobs a lot easier🙄!
I think the Herbalife in Mississippi (or The South) is a good segway to say that the places most prone to be MLM breeding grounds have the least amount of social safety nets. Because the most vulnerable are the targets, and the places with the most vulnerable people tend to promote rugged individualism instead of valuing resources going to those in need. And being raised in that mindset opens you up to believing the MLM tactics. So that correlation might be a great place to start the other prong of taking down MLMs. The first prong is the raising awareness and educated on the red flags that this channel does so wonderfully 😊
And the change that one talks about is needed for the reasons she says, but it will also reduce the effectiveness of MLM predatory tactics ❤
Story 3: Can confirm. I have worked at a school in Southern Mississippi, and the weird teas are everywhere. Two years in a row I got a birthday card from my coworkers (very nice) and inside was a $10 gift card for a tea shop that I am 90% certain is Herbalife in disguise. The teas usually cost $14 each or some outrageous amount for a powder mix in water. I have never voiced any interest in trying these teas, and it's known that I'm not a tea drinker, anyway. So they've given me a gift card to a place I don't have any reason to go to, that will only cover part of one medium sized drink. Thanks guys. I'm sure I'll find someone to re-gift this too, eventually.
We have a ton of those Herbalife tea shops in Alabama too and the teas are like $12/each!
SMH...everytime we has librarian meetings the leader kept talking about all the coffees she was using and selling. I totally get it now.
That's me, too! I got my masters in English Education, and I no longer teach. I loved teaching and miss the students, but the job was too demanding. I was working a 60+ hour work week for a salary of $30K. It broke my heart to leave the profession, but it was a financially sound decision once I started having my own kids.
A Kirby vacuum is $2,000 new. You can buy them used for $40-$500. I ran a cleaning service and exclusively used Kirby Vacuums. My employees complained that they are heavy, and they are. I stand by their vacuuming power, the repairs are cheaper than Dyson repairs. I don’t think I would do that again because of the MLM aspect but it is truly a great vacuum.
It’s direct sales not an mlm. Some lower level Riccars with onboard hoses might be a good alternative they’re lighter and the bags are like a buck a piece. Performance is neck and neck. New Kirby’s have an msrp on the box now closer to 1450.00 but I’m with you on those rebuilt deals I love me some deals 😊
A couple weeks ago I was watching a livestream from a channel that I subscribe to. The host was talking about some concerning neurological changes he was seeing in his partner. One of the people in the chat kept talking about "naturopathic cures" and made the same comment over and over. Finally, this chatter said she would send a DM about Young Living essential oils and what oils would be effective. The host responded by saying that "we are beyond essential oils here and we will be seeing an actual neurologist." In another livestream (different channel) the host was talking about needing to keep his electronics clean and someone in the chat piped up with "You need a Norwex cleaning cloth! I'll DM you." Geez.
That second one just needs a can of compressed air, lol! Norwex my ass. 😂

In 2005 I came home from work and found a random stranger in my house vacuuming my living room...and there was my husband with our 5 year old watching.... I was livid and confused... fast forward and hour later and we now owned a 1500$ damn Kirby vacuum!!! I have no idea how I went from "who the hell is in our house" to "sure! I'll pay that for a VACUUM!" - but... I will say, at least we do still have it and it does still work...but I still cringe everytime I pull it out!! 🙃
Dont forget the lifetime rebuild agreement when it’s time for an overhaul it’s usually cheaper than having it done locally I think yours is around 175ish to rebuild it like new. I don’t get paid to say that lol most folks just forget that it’s a thing. And hey it’s almost 20 years old it’s lasted longer than most marriages 😂
I think it's so funny that Herbalife tea shops only get stickers when if you order custom printed cups they're only a few cents more per cup than the sticker cost 🤣 it's better marketing and would look more official
I was thinking the same thing! Surely it’s not that much difference in price, and if they have to put the stickers on themselves it’s so much more work?
Every Herbalife shake shops are all the same; I know of one from a Hun that friended me on Facebook. The shop looks anonymous from the outside, you don’t see anything about Herbalife and the concoctions that are served there look like glow in the dark entities.
I know there are a lot of rules herbalife sets for these shops. I don't think they are allowed to have custom cups and they have to be clear. I remember Jessica Hickson talking about this in her herbalif deep dive

Those Kirby pitches can be so toxic. They do this thing where they try and show you how much crap they picked up from your carpet. They use some technique that makes it seem worse than it is. Then they shame you for having a dirty home. It worked like a charm on my dad and he bought one, and then vacuumed every day for as long as I could remember. It legit scarred him. (FWIW, that vacuum lasted for decades and my parents only got a new one -not from Kirby - in the last few years.)
That Kirby came with a lifetime rebuild agreement they could have had it completely rebuilt for like a hundred bucks. But they are kinda heavy so maybe a change is due😊 We put a Riccar up against a Kirby and honestly they’re pretty comparable, both American made and the Riccar has onboard attachments and they won’t come to your house and shame you.
That 2nd story resonated. I also have CFS/ME, and it is no joke. I have struggled to support myself ever since developing it when I was young. It affected my schooling, my work, my physical health, everything. I got roped into an MLM for it, and I actually signed up, as it was a family member, and I trusted them. All in all, the experience wasn't actually terrible, so I've never sent in a horror story, but I did lose money, of course. And it was SO much work! It was just as stressful as any other job I have to quit because I couldn't keep up! It's insane how they make it sound like no big deal. People who have disabilities are perfect targets because we are vulnerable/scared/desperate, watching our bodies fail us, and wanting nothing more than to survive in this world and maybe have a little independance. But an MLM is NOT the solution! Even if it was easy, you're still set up to fail.
The Herbalife tea in the school story reminds me of the old MLM saying "The number of people who turn 18 each year is greater than the number of people in all MLM's combined.", which is what you say to anyone bringing up the "saturation" argument.
That happened to me and one of my best friends in Mary Kay. She signed up and then I signed up under her. Her up line told her that she couldn’t keep me on her team because she wasn’t “ready” yet and stole me. She and I didn’t remain in “the business” very long.
As a DECA teacher (who runs a coffee cart), I am cringing so hard. UGH.

It’s crazy to me that that the Amway guy met with the sweet prospect several times with no commitment. Seems like horrible time management! Funny how he said that you can make money when you sleep but it sounds like he dedicated several hours to pitching her. 😮
Dreambuilders doesn't encourage prospecting without developing a "realtionship". FORM is the acronym to prospect a new person. You need to find out about their family, occupation, what they like to do for recreation before delivering the "message" about how the opportunity can help them reach their dreams. It can take time when you are trying to recruit from cold market that's why so many meetings.
And you’re right. Once someone joins an MLM it changes their mentality on lots of things. I’d even go so far as to say MLMs prime their victims into disregarding social norms and boundaries. Which is why they’ll call you all the time, try barging into your house, not take NO for an answer etc. it’s so bizarre
A few years ago, my daughter and her husband had been "church shopping". My daughter grew up protestant and her husband grew up Catholic. Neither are overboard religious, but they are believers and wanted to find a church that had a doctrine that they both would be comfortable with. They joined a local church that had a lot of young marrieds about the same age as them (mid to late 20s to early 30s). They even started going to Bible study with a group that they really got along with. That is until the term "Beach Body" came into all our lives. I had never heard of it, but they targeted my daughter because she had been an athlete in high school and was an avid runner all through college, and still is. It seemed everyone in the group was somehow involved. The pressure was immense. Luckily, my daughter and her husband are pretty smart, savvy and tight with a dollar. But my daughter became so depressed that all these people she thought were her church family and a true support system were just trying to use her. Even the pastor was involved in the mlm. They did finally find a church home that they are comfortable in, but it took a while. I did not want to pressure her to come back to the church she was raised in, just because her dad and I are members. I wanted to respect that she and her husband were now their own family unit and needed to do what was best for them.
As young, married woman, I want to say I appreciate that you let your daughter and husband find their own way without pressuring them! When my husband and I had only been married a few years, it became known that my husband has some different beliefs from my parents. To me it was not a big deal, as it was not a salvation issue, but it sent my parents into a tizzy. My mom sent me a huge text, the gist of which was, I can be a good wife without following my husband in his delusion. Then they invited us over, and my dad absolutely raked my husband over the coals, without even the decency of privacy. Just out in the livingroom where my siblings were free to come and listen in. Most of them chose to make themselves scarce lol. My husband took it well, but I was livid. We quit going to their church not long after. I lost a lot of respect for them that day, though we are still on friendly terms.

My DECA/business teacher tried to sell me Amway after I graduated. Still to this day I’m baffled that she joined that scam and bought into it
I'm a teacher, and to exploit the trust given to you by the public for profit is shameful.
The tea shop in the school sounds so familiar to me and I also live in Mississippi. I know the one in the story is in a high school but the community college in my town allowed a loaded tea girl (who already has a shop in town) to open on IN THE SCHOOL🤯 the drinks really aren’t that good… and I really feel like that sends the wrong message to changing , and sometimes vulnerable, minds (even for college students).
As a high school teacher, honestly just WTF? The teacher running that just has to know they're in the wrong.
Also, depending on what state you're in, there's different laws and preparing food and drinks, but I don't know how much this would apply to drink mixes.
In a different video, either she or an email she was reading said Herbalife shops don't get health inspections because of the way they're run. Something about them being a club vs a cafe
The first story is the reason why I ALWAYS check labels. Some people literally do not care about your health when it comes to making money.

The amway story is almost exactly like mine, including reading the who moved my cheese book. They purposely keep everything vague until they invite you to the first cult meeting even down to skirting questions about what they actually do.
The high school teacher infuriated me. That should be illegal

What baffles me from the caffeine story is that my personal trainer who has a masters degree told me to avoid caffeine as much as possible as it bloats you, and when using preworkout to do it wisely as a beginner I do no need to be using that stuff when I’m still getting used to workouts and that it’s something I started looking at when my physical condition improved and I wanted to do heavier weights and more demanding workouts
Master degreed registered dietitian here. Caffeine doesn’t bloat you. That’s a very broad statement. It’s true some people do not tolerate caffeine well and it’s likely because they are slow metabolizers of caffeine. Look into creatine for muscle support.
We had a Kirby growing up. My parents bought it in the 80s. It worked for YEARS. Best vacuum we've had to this day 😅😅

one time my friend joined cutco and kept trying to recruit me (except she recommended me to her recruiter so she wouldn't have even been my upline I think. She did genuinely want me to try it because I was unemployed and in college at the time and she was genuinely trying to help me find a job) anyway I was pretty aware of MLMs because it's a sitcom trope at this point and I watched a too many sitcoms growing up.
She didn't last with it, it was to get her through a college gap. She is the sweetest thing and had no idea it was an MLM or what an MLM is. She still talks about them like any other job. She enjoyed it at least and I'm glad she didn't stick with it long enough for it to get bad for her.
I think she made some money, probably at least what she spent buying her set of knives she had to use for her pitch. She's amazing and lots of friends and family were happy to buy from her (also didn't seem like they knew what it was).
By the time she told me about it she already bough her knives so I couldn't warn her not to get involved (can't say for sure if I would have anyway; I knew they were a scam but didnt knows how bad they were then) Anyway, I didnt have the heart to tell her it was a scam. To this day I let her enjoy her memories of the time and as long as she doesn't plan to go back I'm not going to ruin it for her.
I remember watching her pitch the item and one of the things they do it have them test the knives on a rope vs a knife the pitchee already has. The pitchee told her no because that would obviously damage and dull her existing kitchen knife and of course a brand new knife would do better. Also how often do you cut through a rope in your kitchen.
On the plus side, she does love those knives she insists they're the best ones she's ever had. I still won't buy from them but like I'm glad she at least likes the product she had to buy.
Love your videos, Hannah. I believe that the tea recipe is a Herbalife knockoff recipe. The 4C Energy Rush is sold at WalMart for about 5 bucks for a box of 18 packets. The tea shops are everywhere here, and people started sharing cheaper versions of the teas that you can make at home.
I was in Herbalife in college (roped into joining and working in a nutrition shop by a family friend promising me a “job”) and I can confirm that is a knockoff recipe
When I saw the recipe I thought the same thing. There's an account that I follow on IG with tea dupes. All of the flavors listed are available at WM, DG, etc.
The talk in this video about viewing everyone as a potential customer really rings true. My sister sold Mary Kay for a while and this was often a source of conflict between the two of us. I hated that every time I had friends over she would turn it into a sales presentation. Fortunately she finally gave up selling although I don't think she's ever come to terms with how much she was manipulated and used. I grew to resent Mary Kay and her upline but she still orders a box of products from her former upline at least once a year.
This is why I can’t work for mlms.. if you say you can’t have caffeine I couldn’t recommend you a product with a caffeine.. omg, this is insane and people in mlm are soooooooooo brainwashed
I am so grateful for these videos. In a weird way, I feel like they keep me grounded? I’m in an odd, transitional point of my life right now. I just got my MA, I start my PhD next fall, but I’m unemployed and that’s stressing me out. Like, to the point I’m practically desperate. I feel like if I hadn’t found Hannah & the anti-MLM community, I could have easily fallen for the scams.
But now I know what to avoid & what to look out for, and if all else fails and I’m even MORE desperate, I can just remind myself that there are playlists dedicated to “MLM Horror Stories” for a reason.
I've been super into mlm but the community is vicious. I just unjoined about 7 groups. I've left 3 or 4 different mlms. Not to say I don't love the products I use from 4 different ones. But you've helped me open my eyes. Hope to tell my story soon😊

About the story about the teas being sold in school.. I would say based on the picture of the recipe that it isn’t a Herbalife recipe. You can’t buy 4C powdered at Walmart.

Not all vacuum salesmen are sleezy, I’ve been in the business for over 20 years I’ve also sold mattresses but I’ve never tried to manipulate anyone into buying. I love educating folks and finding solutions. Kirby will always be my first love but it’s not for everybody. I hate a pitch as much as anyone. Thanks for being an educator and shining a light on those less than reputable. ❤
There was a 'Nutrition' shop in my small town. It was just recently converted back to an actual coffee shop. She (the owner, or lease holder, I should say) didn't make it dramatic but made it clear she's no with herbal life and that her COFFEE shop is now open. I was so relieved to see it! And then "Country Bliss Nutrition" re-opened literally DOORS down from the former herbal life shop. 🤦🏼♀️
Oh i know what the blue typhoon thing is. There is a tiktok creator that does tea dupes and there are these Hawaiian punch water bottle drink mixes. And thats one. She used it in one that actually sounded good unlike that odd concoction. 😂
Kirby is even more predatory than that. I went in for an “interview” and was hired as a cold caller. First day on they said it was a trial day and they handed me a phone book and sent me to the phone I would be using. I was to call numbers out of the white pages to try to pitch a demonstration. They also had cards with peoples info on them for people who had shown interest but I was not allowed to use those I had to cold call random people. I called for 4 hours straight who knows how many numbers and then my shift was up. I was told to call in to find out my next shift, only to be ignored and/or told they don’t even know who I was.

Finally figured out it was a MLM after an owner or boss babe posted on Facebook page for one nutrition shop that they were convention and immediately was like MLM. I thankfully only buy from them like 3 times and never again. Honestly gross tasting and don’t trust what’s in those protein powders

Just wanted to pop in and say that this ad read of Scentbird FINALLY got me to try it and when my friends and I just happened to be talking about scents, I shared that I recently ordered Scentbird. One of my friends got interested so I sent her this video and she texted me 15 minutes later saying she also ordered Scentbird. It went just like how MLM reps insist their pitches go and I think thats just so perfect

I have to question how much caffeine is in those teas? When I was in high school, our DECA store had to stop selling monster energy drinks because of the caffeine content. We had a senior drop dead while playing volleyball, and I don’t know if the two were related, but it’s definitely dangerous for their hearts!

The reason all those teachers are obsessed with the loaded teas? I’d wager a well made frappé that it’s guarana. There was a special edition of a chocolate bar that came out when I was at uni and our student Union ended up with tons of free boxes, so being a poor student I helped myself to a few. Took a few bites, it was disgusting. And then I wanted more. A lot more. Can’t say I ever actually enjoyed them but holy heck they were addictive.

My small town has an herbalife shop and this summer they were tea b0mbing businesses and government offices. Meaning they would bring between 4 to 6 free teas to a business/government offices to hand out and take a picture to put in the local newspaper.
They tea b0mbed our government offices and when my coworkers were handing them out, I said no I don't want one since they are shown to cause kidney and liver damage. They were surprised but drank them anyway (which is fine) many of them said they were too sweet and poured them down the drain.

Since Herbalife has a strict set of rules around their “nutrition clubs,” that DECA teacher is probably in violation of the company’s policies. Maybe the teacher who wrote in should report it to herbalife compliance?
Kirby vacuums: I found a thread on my neighborhood chat app of neighbors trying to figure out if the Kirby reps are really trying to sell vacuums, or if they want to case house by coming inside for the presentation! Some good Samaritans are trying to explain that Kirby vacuum reps just be that odd, but some other people can't believe it and say they have made complaints to the police. 🙈
Salesmen are all a little odd lol it’s 2022 don’t do anything that feels unsafe they probably are just selling vacuums but it’s probably out of towners if you want a demonstration call your local office they’ll send someone over 😊

OMG! Why did I never consider this!? Teas have the teachers that I work with in a chokehold! They deliver them to the staff every Friday, and now I am wondering if the people selling them are in Herbal Life!? I tried one, and they tasted AWFUL, so I don't get them. I'm more of a flavored water kinda girl, and I've never been more happy about that to know that I haven't been unknowingly supporting an MLM!
Hawaiian Punch is a brand of juice. The Berry Blue Typhoon part is one of the flavors and you can get a pack of flavor packets.

I had to lol about Mississippi teachers and their teas! This is such a thing! We have a weekly tea form sent to us. The local tea shop donates a free tea to the teacher of the month swag bag too so they always get a shout out too.

I do like Kirby vacuums. They are good quality and can last a lifetime (mine was my parents and they got it second hand). I would never buy one brand new and the prices and salesmen are ridiculous. But if you ever get a chance to buy one at a thrift store, it's most likely worth the buy

She’s suddenly gone down a “clean” rabbit hole and it’s led her to a lot of pseudoscience and MLM products. She has millions of subscribers she’s promoting the products to under the guise of “living clean”.
I saw that. I looked up the Crunchi brand and yup, they are an MLM. Disappointing that she is promoting it.
