@@dominic6283Please, Don't even say that out loud.😮😂Disco was considered a career killer, you might know all about it. I liked Disco but I also grew up on Led Zeppelin and The Allman Bros.❤
The band I was in when this song came out decided that since we had a bass player that could sing it, we should do it. We had to figure out logistics as far as how we could make the music full enough, and remember that this was when sequencing was new to live bands, so to do that our second guitar player came back to my keyboard rig and played strings and supporting parts on the board to my left, and I played piano and strings on the 2 in front of me. We worked on that song for 3 weeks before we took it live and we did it beautifully. There was one not so small problem. We couldn't get through it without most of the 6 members breaking into tears. We played it for just 3 shows and we decided that we needed to drop it. Those lyrics hit too close to home, and this was 40 something guys you are talking about. Old enough to have been through some shit and most of us still longing to have someone to feel that deeply about. So, rather than trying to sing while blubbering like babies, we decided to just drop the song. The band I was in before that did a handful of shows with Bryan (well before this song came out) when we were playing up in Canada and he was THE nicest guy ever. Headliners rarely come out and listen to the opening act. He did. The second time we opened for him he actually had some chairs set up off stage and about 4 of his guys sat and listened. (That was a really good band and our 40 minute set was all original music. I think he liked the writing.) But on topic, this is a beautifully crafted song. When a song gives you something aurally pleasing (good to listen to), something intellectual (that makes you think), and something visceral (that makes you feel), you have reached the peak of Mount Songwriter. So very nice. Wicked cool Bryan Adams tuneage from back in the 1980's. First heard the artist/recording of this track while still just a kid in high-school. This guy, at that time, was all over the radio-waves worldwide. and in heavy rotation on a new little production called MTV. Of course, that was back when they actually came out with a concept of featuring new, up and coming talent. It is kinda hard to describe how original, different, and cool that actually playing Music on Television really was at the time. And not just on the radio. RADICAL, MAN!!! WE ALL LOVED IT INSTANTLY.HEY....(who would've thunk it?, right??). For the life of me, I just do not understand why they don't just do it still?!? I know that I'd watch it. Adams had a string of hit songs/albums that hit the bigtime. This guy was every bit the equal of other artist/groups of that era in Rock. Equal to, or surpassing, such popular hit producing contemporaries such as "The Material Girl", (Madonna), Stevie Nicks, (Fleetwood Mac), David Bowie, Ac/Dc, Tina Turner, or Sting... to name but a few. From soundtrack to Robin Hood starring Kevin Costner. Written by Bryan Adams, Mutt Lange and the late Michael Kamen. They also wrote 1 All for Love, 2 I'll Always Be Right There and 3 Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman. In 1984, Bryan Adams 🇨🇦 had Reckless as his bestselling album. 😎 Three years later, Into the Fire slumped. BA demoted Bob Clearmountain from producer and engineer to just engineer. BA took a break from songwriting partner Jim Vallance. Enter Mutt Lange. His credits: AC/DC, Foreigner, Huey Lewis, Thomas Dolby, Def Leppard, The Cars, Billy Ocean, Loverboy. Heart. In 1991, Mutt wrote 1 song with Huey Lewis + wrote 1 song for Eddie Money. During the rest of the year, Mutt wrote + produced an album with Bryan Adams. This was the last song the 2 of them produced + wrote, with Michael Kamen, for the album in addition to the Robin Hood soundtrack. Mutt Lange had the Midas touch with music from the 1970s to 1991. 😎 The 2nd chorus/outro of Pour Some Sugar on Me was sampled and placed on the bridge of this song. No copyright violation: Mutt Lange cowrote it! Plus 1 + 2. He is the producer + backing vocalist of both songs! 😎 This summer of 2021 was the 30th anniversary of the movie + this song. My favorite BA song. 😎 1991 Billboard Song of The Year. 😎. But wait! After 1991, Mutt Lange also got bestselling songs out of Michael Bolton, Lady Gaga, The Corrs and Shania Twain! 😎 Voice of Bryan Adams. Up to 1990, he had the gritty voice and had some limitations with high notes. Enter Mutt Lange in 1991. He stretched the upper register of BA and had him sing more smoothly! Do compare the voices before 1991 and after 1991. RIP Alan Rickman, Sean Connery, Michael Kamen, Egil Woxholt (who passed away shortly after the release of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves) Suggested videos: 1 Bryan Adams and Tina Turner sing It's Only Love. 2 Def Leppard performs Pour Some Sugar on Me. 3 Arnel Pineda and Morissette Amon sing I Finally Found Someone.
Bryan Adams apart from being a great singer, is also a great guy. He is a conservationist and has his own foundation which supports under privileged people from around the world. He is also a very talented photographer and has photographed people, landscapes and our former Queen on several occasions. Multi-talented and genuinely nice.

The 2nd chorus/outro of Pour Some Sugar on Me was sampled and placed on the bridge of this song. No copyright violation: Mutt Lange cowrote it! Plus 1 + 2. He is the producer + backing vocalist of both songs! 😎
This summer of 2021 was the 30th anniversary of the movie + this song. My favorite BA song. 😎 1991 Billboard Song of The Year. 😎. But wait! After 1991, Mutt Lange also got bestselling songs out of Michael Bolton, Lady Gaga, The Corrs and Shania Twain! 😎
Voice of Bryan Adams. Up to 1990, he had the gritty voice and had some limitations with high notes. Enter Mutt Lange in 1991. He stretched the upper register of BA and had him sing more smoothly! Do compare the voices before 1991 and after 1991.
RIP Alan Rickman, Sean Connery, Michael Kamen, Egil Woxholt (who passed away shortly after the release of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves)

The BEST ❤❤❤❤❤
Bryan Adams apart from being a great singer, is also a great guy. He is a conservationist and has his own foundation which supports under privileged people from around the world. He is also a very talented photographer and has photographed people, landscapes and our former Queen on several occasions. Multi-talented and genuinely nice.
I miss ballads like this ❤❤
This song and Era is when my wife and I started dating, fell in love and got married 30+ years and going strong.
I have been married to my wife for 21 years, known her for 24 years, believe me, this song is all about a man who loves his woman. I feel this in my heart and soul about my wife. May all you women out there find a man that feels this way about you.
Songs, musicianship, wonderful vocals. What’s missing today….
