- Clark The Shark and Robert Patterson announce their quest to find the missing/lost video for Bryan Adams' (Everything I Do) I Do It for You music video from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
The official music video for the song was directed by Julien Temple. It shows Adams and his band performing the song in a forest with a silk mill in the background, and Adams alone performing on a rocky beachside, intercut with scenes from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. The video was filmed in a forest with the derelict silk mill near Holford in the Quantock Hills and on a beach with geological cliff formations near Kilve, Somerset.
The music video received extensive airplay upon release, but has since disappeared and become a "lost video."

I've been looking for this video for years, I remember it so well in the cinema, yet where is it? I read that the famously felled Sycamore Gap tree appeared in it.

Why doesn't Bryan himself release it? He could tell his lawyers he wants it released and maybe the studio would have to agree but I'm sure that wouldn't be an issue.
I agree! And I feel like there is a want for this from the fans. For guys like me in my forties, this was a fun, nostalgic part of my childhood.
The problem is that the lawyer for Bryan Adams put a copyright ©️ claim. BA learned from Don Henley and Garth Brooks. They and clients of Irving Azoff are notorious for putting copyright ©️ claims. 😖

I have the video, but it was a friend who found it. At the start and end of the video in the corner it comes up that it's for promo only so I don't know if that's why it's nowhere on youtube etc, but it's a pity. It's been 30+ years! Get it on youtube!

There is a clip here on YT where Keith Scott, Bryan Adams' long time guitar player, mentions the "Everything" video because he plays an orange Gretsch guitar rather than his typical Fender.

It DEFINITELY EXISTS ! Fans have posted it on YT in its early days up until 2010s til YT/Vevo/Bryan Adams channel crackdown on fan uploads. Now the only music video of the song is Bryan in concert after the song's initial run in 1992.

I just went searching for the original MTV video and could not find it. Then I came across your vid. I remember the original extremely well. Because the music video was the only reason I watched the film. Honestly, I probably would not have cared about a Robin Hood movie, but that darn Bryan Adams actually made me pay to watch Kevin Costner portray Robin Hood with an American accent. Blasphemy!

I wondered the same thing? I was a freshman in high school when this came out and you're right it's absolutely gone from existence! It was such a popular video! I don't understand? Is Bryan Adams like Prince and doesn't let anyone see the video? 😂😂
