So little these days as a 60yr old Canadian that i'm proud of for my country...i'm trying to reconnect with what i'm proud of being from 🇨🇦 and i haven't even left..Brian makes me proud today as i listen to your reaction..thanks
Bryan Adams has a pretty deep catalog of music, including many hits. Hes one of my favorites while growing up in the 80s. Cuts Like A Knife, Run to You, Please Forgive Me… man the list keeps goin, Summer of 69… etc
That's literally my childhood, I'd play that song and the entire Robinhood sound track continuously one side of the cassette and then the other. I'd sleep with it playing.
Bryan Adams was one of my favorites. I suggest you see the official video of this song. I remember this song for the movie Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. There was a quote from the movie between Robin and Maid Marian. Marian said: "If the sheriff found out, I could lose all that I have." Robin replied: "But will you do it for your king?" Marian answered "No. I'll do it for you." I recommend seeing the movie. He also teamed up with Sting and Rod Stewart for the song "All For Love" for the movie "The Three Musketeers."
This song, written I believe for the blockbuster movie Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves, spent a record breaking 16 consecutive weeks at number one on the UK Singles chart after being released. It was so ridiculous a feat that by the end many people were just sick of it, but it is an amazing song. If you want more feels like you got with this one I suggest another his songs that I absolutely love called Please Forgive Me, it'll melt you even more I think. Other songs I suggest are Summer of 69, Run to You, Can't Stop This Thing We've Started, Do I Have to Say the Words, and his collab Sting and Rod Stewart - All for Love, though you can't go wrong with any of his songs imo.
Bryan Adams - All For Love - Live at the Royal Albert Hall 2012 i love this version so much..where he sings the song alone....man...he is 52 in this video and still sounds so great
People are so different today and thats what is missing in this culture of "its all about me". A different era then and I wish we still had love for our fellow humans.
WOW, I never realized Bryan Adams was so amazing live. When I was in the 4th grade he was my favorite singer, just loved the sincerity to his songs. I'd always imagine singing his songs to a crush of mine and win her over haha. Yeah that never ended up happening. Great video, he's awesome!
My wife and I chose this for our first song at our wedding. I am typically a Slayer, Make Them Suffer, Terror, etc.. type guy, but Bryan Adams has been my shit since childhood. this dude bleeds charisma. Saw him on the Bare Bones tour and it was nothing but him and a guitar, and it was our second date and I will forever remember that as my favorite live show.
Gosh, I was in junior high school when this came out. I can remember thinking this was the most romantic song ever...I still think so. ❤ It melts my heart every time.

so iconic and revered he opened the North American concert for Live Aid in 1985 introduced by jack nicholson...even before this super ballad was released
Bryan Adams is a great Canadian singer songwriter from the 80's-90's. He is known for his ballads & he has a unique raspy voice. Bryan has had so many hits such as "Cuts Like A Knife", "Straight From The Heart", "Run To You", "Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman?", "Heaven", "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You", "Can't Stop This Thing We Started", "Thought I'd Died & Gone To Heaven", "Please Forgive Me", "All For Love". He has won a lot of awards for his music.
Bryan Adams had a unique slightly husky voice that was easily recognisable which I imagined helped his career his voice was very pleasing to the ears regardless of whether you liked his genre of music or not. But Kevin Costner‘s movie adaptation of Robin Hood gave this song a lot of momentum due to it being the main song on the soundtrack and both the movie and the song became synonymous with each other.
Watch your face when he says "I'd die for you" at the crescendo. That's the real deal. That's universal. Thats why this song shot straight up fo number 1 and stayed there for a long time.
I'll never forget this. We had had Dire Straits and Queen and many other great performances and were pretty much wowed out. Then this guy comes on, no idea who he is and he carried the entire crowd. Stunning!
'All for love' - Bryan Adams, Sting, Rod Stewart. Great song, raspy voices. And the official video has an interesting intro to the song where they go from warming their voices up into the song seamlessly - it makes sense when you see it.

This has to be the best song Bryan Adams ever did wow what a great live version love the extended part at the end this song was on the Robin Hood soundtrack in the 90's that Kevin Costner was in Summer Of 69 has to be the next one you do it's my favorite song he did next to this one
When my son was 12 in 2019, we won tickets to see him in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. When this song first came out, it got played to death everywhere, but I have to admit hearing my son sing along to this when he was 12 gave me goosebumps. I have the video on my phone, and will keep in forever.
There will never be energy quite like an audience singing along acapella and in parts (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) back at the performing group and both sides are just in the moment feeding off each other's love and appreciation of the song, music, and each other. Is something that transcends almost everything and is so sublime. I think performers never truly forget those moments for the rest of their lives because of how it is like a religious experience with how filling it is for everyone.
Bryan is one of Canada's Music Treasures!! So many hits. Run Too You, Cuts Like a Knife, Summer of 69, When You're Gone, and so many many more. I saw Bryan for the 1st time in 1982 when he opened up for a little band called Journey.

@Jalex0021 I read that it was still selling well when production of the single was due to be stopped, and was stopped, but that wasn't while it was at number 1.

Other great songs songs you should listen of him is, To really love a woman (maybe his best), Cloud no 9, Here I am, Straight from the heart, Cuts like a knife, Can't stop this thing we started, Run to you. Bryan became hugely famous from his soundtrack hits, like this one, a song from "Robin Hood." He followed up with another hit "All For Love" from the film "The Three Musketeers." His last movie soundtrack hit was "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?" from the film "Don Juan DeMarco." I'm sure he had others in film, but those were the big 3 that stayed on radio rotation for months.
Summer of 69,is 1 of his best songs, also I found a awesome new band-- called element of fate, the song is called night winds ,trust me aileen you will love it!!!!
I never really took too much notice of Bryan Adams down the years but hearing him sing to a massive Wembley crowd in London so perfectly has really made me sit up and take notice. My God, what an incredible voice. The 100,000 people there must have absolutely loved it too. 🙋♂ Another lovely reaction Aileen, thanks!
An eternal love song. Everyone want to sing this to someone, to feel that, to be in that feeling. It is emotionally powerful. I may be rough on the edges, but I have a soft spot for Bryan Adams love songs, and he's made a few. This one song and this performance with everyone lost in it and singing … tops them all. Great review and appreciation for live performances! He has lots of hits, but I like his Live performance at Royal Albert Hall in 2022 (62 yrs old) of "I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. I think you;ll enjoy that one.

I remember hearing so many Bryan Adams songs on the radio back in the day. Fun reaction, and that little thing you do when you crinkle your nose is so cute. Thanks for doing this one. Another fun band from back in the day I think you'd like is Huey Lewis and the News...they had an unbelievable number of hit songs. I'd start with "Do You Believe in Love?" The lead singer has that same kind of gravely voice as Bryan Adams that I think you'd enjoy.
This song is responsible for more 1st kisses in the early 90’s than probably anything else. Junior high school dance, this song + your school crush… it’s tonsil hockey time baby!!
This guys live vocals are off the charts. Is like your listening to original recording but so much more powerful. An amazing vocalist and a beautiful song
He is one of the best live artists out there, gonna see hin for the third time in November. Check out his duet I's only love, with Tina Turner (some crazy chemistry between them) or All for one where he sings with Stong and Rod Stewart ❤
Peak live rock ballad. I went to his concert in our Capital city many years back and it’s still a very fond memory, the crowd interaction was unreal, his performance and the band was absolutely on point, it was an outstanding experience.

You’re such an exquisite dreamer Aileen.
