the shop not changing the armor selection from ruby vests tends to throw me off a lot, too love hearing some of the shitposts from streams by the way. classic shit
That's ok at the time Ruby vests are accessible they CAN last you ALL the way UP the Ocean Palace itself by then you can have 2 party members absorb fire damage AND use the Taban armor on Lucca to decrease fire damage. However the first set of WEAPONS gotten this way isn't needed sure you could get better weapons this way AFTER you first beat Magus in 600 AD and automatically end up in 65 million BC but the SAME weapons are ALL stolen on the way to the first boss you fight with Ayla in the party anyways. So you don't really need the Sage Bow/Stone Arm and the weapon for Crono since the weapons first stolen on the way to Nizable are for Crono Lucca and Robo to all equip.
