look say what you will, but "bioshock in space" sounds like a great time. All you need to say is "bioshock in space" and I think a lot of people's ears perk up. I'm definitely interested on that alone. I'm very intersted in this game.
I was really excited to have a new System shock/Bioshock like game with a solid narrative and horror elements. Rouge lite? That market os so oversaturated.
Roguelite??? Thats disappointing. So many years for a game of this genre, isn't this supposed to be the easiest game to make? Also congrats to the director of the video. Love how Lucy James looks and that comes from someone who thinks she always looks good.
I think roguelite might be the wrong word because it makes you think of the wrong things, from the interviews I watched I get the impression that the rogue elements are more so to make the world respond to your choices and narrative, rather than just being totally random. That's why it took so long, because they had to build all these modules that can pop in based on any choices you make. So the modules being procedurally put together is rogue-ish, but they aren't random.
@withoutthejuice7193 I like the genre to an extent but I'm hoping with the Bioshock creators we'd get an immersive narrative campaign that was more akin to their earlier work.
In this case, being reductive is a big compliment. I don't think I'm the only one that wants more bioshock type stuff
I just hope it's not mediocre like Atomic Heart was

We have in water, we have in air now it's space time cause why not
Lucy James looks like a cgi creation.
Nothing wrong with a bioshock-like game. We want this
Ah man, it’s a rogue-lite? I love BioShock and Returnal was amazing, but rogue-lites are hit and miss fun-wise
Id like for them to create a bioshock prequel game where you get to see rapture in development.
Who would the enemies be
@@PassTheSnailsThe ocean/sea creatures?
Lucy im jealous

I heavily disagree, there is a big lack of roguelike/roguelite fps games
Lucy is such a great person to listen to talk endlessly about video games and the industry in general. Way to go, Lucy!
What took so LONG??? 💉

Atomic Heart was "of this genre", no? I hated it personally but I'm looking forward to Judas.
@@adamkeyes5406 yeah you wont like it

Roguelite puts me off now, over saturated right now
They really aren’t tho, they’re just no longer indie game exclusive. Sounds like a skill issue
@@withoutthejuice7193 yeah cause triple a games are so often good
@@withoutthejuice7193if you don’t like something it’s a skill issue? Ok buddy
Agreed. I thought it was going to be a normal single player game. I guess I'll be waiting on reviews.

Roguelite? Flushed
In other words; yes, its bioshock in space
Switching to making the game about the experience of being in rapture and not your character was such a smart move.
Why did they call this Judas?
That’s the main character’s name.
interesting
I have no desire to play a "rogue" anything, mainly because of procedural generation.
The entire appeal of Bioshock and System Shock was the level design and atmosphere. Now that's out the window.
👍
