Thank you for your help. I also found using a toothbrush helped when cleaning out the heads was good. 👏
If using a towel is damaging, what could a toothbrush do?
Wow here I was using a toothbrush trying to get all the hair powder out. Had no idea I can just rinse it under water. Glad I Googled this now.

Not me just finding out that I need to wash the shaving heads once a month, after owning it for almost 2 years, and wondering why the shaver refused to work (and almost tried to buy a replacement) 💀
Going back to wet shaving may be easier. Never had this faff with old electric razors
Mine worked twice and stopped moving the heads up and down 👎 glad I got an extended warranty
Need more detail on taking each of the shaving heads out and more importantly, getting them back in

When using a cleaning pod also how often do I need to physically remove the blades to clean them?
Hi there, thanks for your question regarding the cleaning of the Philips Shaver. Using the Quick Clean Pod can clean and freshen your shaver after each shave and replace the regular cleaning steps. However, thorough cleaning is still required on a monthly basis. Philips recommends thoroughly cleaning your shaver at least once per month or whenever shaving performance decreases. If you have any additional questions, please get in touch via social media. We're available on Facebook (@Philips) and X (@PhilipsCare). Don’t worry, if you don’t use social media, you can also reach out to us via the contact page: to.philips/6051me2iJ.

How long should I give the shaver to air dry? 12 hrs? 24 hrs? Thanks.
Hello, James. Thank you for contacting us. In response to your question, there is no precise time instruction. You can leave the shaver in the SmartClean system to dry until your next shave. Remove the shaver from the SmartClean system, shake off excess water, open the shaving unit, and allow the shaver to air dry. If you have any additional questions, please get in touch via social media. We're available on Facebook (@Philips) and Twitter (@PhilipsCare). Hot or cold water?
Warm
If I reguarly use the cleaning pod do I still need to wash it as instructed in this video?
Hi there, if you clean your appliance with the smart clean system then you don't have to rinse the machine as well under the tap. :-)
Hope this explains.
Can you use dawn dishwashing soap on it? If not, what can I use? Don't tell me to buy the washing pod. That is not an option for me.
Try some Witchhazel.
Removing heads in older version wasn't easy. Hope it is now
Thanks for writing back to us. Please note that replacing shaving heads is very simple with the Philips Shaver Series 7000. The user just has to press the release buttons to detach the shaving head holder and turn the retaining rings anticlockwise to remove them. We are sure you will be pleased with the performance of this model as well. If you have any additional questions, please get in touch via Social Media. We're available on Facebook (@Philips) and Twitter (@PhilipsCare).
Why do you have to weld the batteries in every single device? Just leave them open in casing…so we can replace…
Hi there, thanks for your feedback. However, we don't recommend trying to replace the battery yourself, as the Philips Shavers comes with a customized, integrated batteries. 1, since usb supply unit is not included, can I use cell phone adaptor instead? 2, shaver can be cleaned either using the pod or tap water?
need dishwasher detergent sometimes?
Hi, Ben. Thank you for your question. We do not recommend using dishwasher detergent to clean your shaver. Feel free to ask additional questions if they arise. Have a great day!
The shaving heads won’t come out
Hello Seon. Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear that you are not able to remove the shaver heads from your Philips shaver. Switch off your shaver and follow the steps below. Pull the shaving head holder off the body of the shaving unit. Twist the retaining rings inside your shaving head holder and pull them out one by one. Remove the shaving heads from the shaving head holder. Each shaving head consists of a cutter and a guard. Please keep in mind that the cutter and guard are not interchangeable. So make sure you keep them together. Put the shaving heads back into the shaving head holder. Reattach the shaving head holder to the bottom part of the shaving unit. If it doesn't help or if you have any further questions, feel free to contact us via social media. We’re available on Facebook (@Philips) and Twitter (@PhilipsCare).
