One of my favorite songs and really loved when the whole Hee Haw gang performed on Hee Haw! Thanks for sharing this video. No doubt one of his best performances.

Don Rich made a telecaster sound like no other could. And his harmonies are un-paralleled. An old friend of mine and I could a really good rendition but it's just not the same. Bucks band was never the same after he lost Don.

Originally, it was the other way around. Don Rich was a fiddle player as a young man. Buck taught him all of his guitar licks and taught him how to play the Fender Telecaster. Don Rich mastered it.

@@jimwest6571 true. And you would know!

You are wrong!!! Buck was the teacher, and he learned Don how to play the lead guitar. Don started as a fiddler.

@@jimwest6571 that's true.. but what Don learned, was way better than Buck's lead.. Don took it a bit further.. Bucks' no slouch tho.. ;)

@@DallasPix Thats correct, and Buck would agree that Don took his pickin' a bit further. Even near the end of his life Buck could still pick a mean TELECASTER.

wow..this is high tech stuff for Buck. I see the steel player has a steinberger guitar around his next and looks like a yamaha DX77 for the keyboard player.
