Love it, im gonna try that. I got one of your outback bow mounts and cant wait to get it all up and running. Thanks for your awesome products and videos.
That's something I will be getting later on this year and I really like the idea of putting another USB connector on the other side. I do not have a trolling motor, YET but I will get that soon. Thanks guys for the video.
James is the breaker built in just as good as an external breaker? i bought the box and a breaker on amazon. im just gonna run the motorguide with this box. 100ah dakota
Great video guys thank you so much! I just inherited a brand-new deep cycle RV battery that I’d like to use for my off grid camping adventures. I have a 240 W Jackery that powers my refrigerator, but it dies overnight pretty much if I don’t have it fully charged before I go to bed. Wondering if I could use one of these Newport battery boxes connected to a solar panel, and then connect the Jackery to the 12V output on the battery box? I’m thinking the panel will keep the battery fully charged or at least topped off during the day, and then the Jackery can take over at night and stay charged from the battery. The question is do I need anything more like an inverter or a charge controller? I already have a 60 watt solar panel mounted on my camper shell.
I have a 12 Volt Fuel transfer tank for my pickup. Will a small battery like yours work. The small pump will only run 3 minutes every 2 weeks. Of is the a better way for my usage?
Ok. Well how do you keep it in the kayak when the kayak is rolled over? I have a old town predator xl. Once I strapped the battery box together I have no way for it to stay in the kayak.
@oneobjective, how many hours can I get running a 20AH LITHIUM BATTERY (LIFEPO4) with the battery box that you guys recommended and a Newport NV-Series Thrust Saltwater Transom Mounted Trolling Electric Trolling Motor w/LED Battery Indicator 55lb thrust? Or would it not work?
Nice modification, the battery gauge is ineffective for Lithium batteries as it will show 12v plus right until they fall off. I like the Anderson plugs for quick connects, probably the most secure way to connect battery to vessel.
Do you need the 70amp 285 series circuit breaker if you have this box? Im going to be running 55lb thrust xi3 motorguide with a 100AH 12.8volt lithium battery
Trolling motors battery should not be shared with any other accessory. Just use one main battery for trolling motor only and have a secondary battery for any others that need a battery.
Yea we don’t run a graph and motor on the same battery. The set up was for just our electronics. Our other setup has 3 battery’s two for 12 and 24 volts setup. And one for graphs

Thanks guys, looks like a great Battery 🔋 Box. Gonna go check it right now. 😎👍
Quick connects...great idea 👍
! Awesome setup! Do you have a video from beginning to end for that battery mod. I’m running a Endura 30lb thrust on my kayak
We don’t have one on how we built it from the beginning.
Great vid!

Do you have a link to those Anderson connectors by chance?
What’s up, love the vid. What are type of grommets do you guys use to run the battery cable through the kayak and not get water inside the hull?

Nice idea to have connections on both inside and out!
Excellent opportunity for a retrofit kit😉
is that a marine car battery or a lithium battery?
Does this work for lithium batteries? Or just lead batteries
Awesome got that battery box where can you get. the connectors👍🎣
Those are Anderson plugs
Cool. What are those red connectors called? Also, can you charge that battery through those connectors without opening the box up?
Those are called Anderson plugs. Not sure if you can charge it through the box. Some breakers you can charge through them. But not 100% sure
Will Anderson connectors be ok with outboard starting amps?

So is it not possible to have a battery box if your marine battery does not have ring terminal fittings?
I have the same battery box only the usb and usb-c sockets are not working is it possible that it is broken or am I doing something wrong?
Ok. Well how do you keep it in the kayak when the kayak is rolled over?
I have a old town predator xl. Once I strapped the battery box together I have no way for it to stay in the kayak.
We used cleats and bolted it to the box. So you can use bungees to hold it down. The cleats they use for rod tie downs.
Bungees with hooks on them.
Oh ok! I appreciate the advice!
I don't see the link for the battery box. Where did you get it?

can you provide links to the exact ones you use? plan to use for motoruide xi3 55. thanks in advance!

Hey do you guys have a bow mount for the native slayer 12?
What's the brand name on the box?
Newport Vessels

Nope the one in the box should be good
Thank you so much
Do you guys know will that Newport battery box fit horizontally in the front of the RS117?
Not sure on that.
What battery is in that battery box?

@@OneObjective Thank you so much for the explanation. It’s very helpful. I just finished watching the setup you mentioned here.
What about for 24 volt batteries?
The only problem is the usb and battery meter will probably burn up. Because they are rated for 12 volt system.
Can you do two 12V in series in this box ?
this looks anything but simple
All you do is put the battery in and hook up the positive and negative. Couldn’t be more simpler
@@OneObjective was meant as sarcasm this is basically plug and play. Thanks for the info.
