Great demo! The Palladium is an interesting beast of a pedal. So many options! Your playing is so smooooth!!! I wish I had 1/100th of your talent! Didn't even miss a bit when soloing and adjusting the pedal! Dang!
One of the best pedal demos I've ever seen! BK takes the time to really learn a pedal, and then gives it a real kick in the ass, showcasing its best sonic qualities. This is a perfect case in point !!!
Awesome demo! You definitely show the versatility of the pedal in that it can be used in moderate-gain settings to achieve expressive bluesy, jazz-fusion sounds. Also, that JP is drool-worthy.
Thanks. It's just something I tried because I figured people were sick of hearing me rant on. I'll do more of these. Cheers and thanks for leaving a positive vibe. :)
First, more tasty leads from a tasteful player.... next, after years of "EVERYTHING in a box 4U" Seymour has finally made something useful. Whether it's NAILING the 1970's / 80's Steve Lukather / Kevin Peek fusion rock tones or gentle boost. I'm convinced this is a heirloom pedal. Sadly, it is 4 times the size of a Xotic SL so I'll wait, but this out Boogies most Marshall boxes. Cheers.
Kinda Dumbley...this is a great review format. I'm amazed at your awareness to make relevant adjustments during an improvised jam ... like playing with two brains.
I am digging this lead tone and considering getting this pedal. All other demos on this pedal are heavier tones. Was thinking of running this into my Quilter 101 Reverb solid state.
JHS Sweet Tea, Diezel VH4 2, Bogner Red Overdrive, Suhr Eclipse, TrueTone Jeckyl & Hyde, Sherlock V3 (all tube pedal!), Diezel Zerrer, EarthQuaker Palisades (more of an overdrive but still plenty of gain and some very cool tone options), Friedman BE-OD Deluxe 2, etc.
@@FastRedPonyCar What would you recommend between this and a Wampler Pinnacle? Any advice is appreciated. I have a Peavey 6505MH which is great and am looking to put together a silent pedal board so I can play without annoying my wife
@@sideparting6845 a silent board would essentially be something like an HX stomp that you can use on it's own for headphone jamming or as an effects processor in the 6505's FX loop when you're being loud. I wouldn't ever consider an overdrive pedal for anything quiet. They are simply there to make something that's already loud even rowdy'er.
@@FastRedPonyCar OK. I was thinking an overdrive pedal (sort of a plexi in a box) into a Zoom MS60G for reverb/delay then into a Nux SS5 IR for power amp simulation and mic sim. Difficult to decide between this and the Wampler Pinnacle!
@@sideparting6845 The Stomp HX can do everything those two combined can do and so much more. It's a true swiss army knife and worth the price tag IMO. I was hesitant to get one and thought all the youtube videos had to be paid hype but it's the real deal. TONS of effects, IR capabilities, midi control, good amp sims, great software for editing and you can also set it up with 4 cable hookup to run distortion/overdrive out of the unit into the front of your amp and a separate loop from the amp's FX loop in and out of the HX to add revebr/chorus/delay/etc. The routing is extremely impressive. I use it both with our rock cover band but also with the acoustic side gigs and I run my mic through one signal path adding some reverb and EQ/compression and then a second path for my acoustic guitar that adds reverb and some delay. I don't think there's anything else like it, especially for the price/size.
Stop the presses there is a another overdrive pedal available just when the world was running out of them! But A+ for the Steely Dan style backing track.

Wow, that sounds amazing! I started to watch the video just for the review and then I felt in love with your playing. Thanks Brett!

maybe theeee best demo of a pedal I have ever seen ! The on-screen verbal explanation is very useful also !

Thanks! Your compliment is very flattering as most of the time I reckon I only have half a brain. Cheers!

Juicy playing, man. I like this pedal alot : - )
Wow! Great jam! \m/
Special thanks to Kris Rea! I thought it was a pedal for Metal?
what bridge pickup you got?
Very Tasty!!
Sounds great! Only the price is not great.

Beautiful playing. Do you have any other recommendations if distortion pedals in the same category?
