For the Zygot event, if you have automatic ship repatriation then you can get the ship back by venting Zygot into space. Actually there are a lot of events where the crew dies but you can get the ship back if you have that upgrade. In all cases, this also seems to cancel then -1 stability from losing a science ship. There are a few events where emergency cryopods is useful as well and it would seem that having this tech upgrade and losing the ship but triggering cryopods will also not trigger the -1.
As the dog becomes a member of the crew you can find them listed in one of your residential buildings. Note that this means the dog can die (eg, starvation), losing the +1 stability.
@@BigTi. yup. Just "dog". If you are checking immediately after the science event it might not show yet, there's a second event in sector that occurs shortly after where you can officially recognise it as a crew member. I don't know for sure, but this event probably triggers on the house the dog is in.
For P-43, if you do the explosives path, you can pick 2 choices instead of one if you take the other (presumably, you waste more time getting there while the atmosphere is corroding the suits and ship, then lose "time" for an extra option). You only lose a crew member if you "Examine the Sphere" as it even mentions that "the [crew name] is creating a fascination with the sphere", the same crew will then try to jump onto the sphere when leaving. It is safe to do the two others options, getting 20 less science total. I really hoped the options about the sphere would give some/deeper lore about them.
Thanks for this! Sadly I spent about 3h yesterday running though ALL these options myself to find the best choices. maybe I can use Ch4 next time. Nevertheless! thank you very much for putting the effort for the community!
Sorry it took me so long! It was kind of a nightmare to do. But I have some methods now that makes it much faster, so I should have Chapter 4 within a few days, I hope. Thank you, as always, for the very nice feedback! I appreciate it greatly!
Also, the number of crew killed by letting ZY6073 dock to the Tiqqun (and making the crew deal with it) depends on the number of crew manning the dock at the time. So, if you have the intense working hours policy active then you lose 9, if you have supported working hours you lose more.
P-43 must have been updated as well. When I did: Explosives > Examine the sphere I did not lose any crew. The text did say one of the crew was developing a strange fascination with the sphere though.
In all honesty, i fully expected that storm to be a reocurring hazard where it would shift across the map back and forth. I was disappointed after realizing the storm was a one-time danger.
LOL!!! That would be insane! Space is limitless. In theory even if the storm went back and forth, there is a very unlikely chance it will come back along the exact same longitudinal path as though it where a storm contained within a sphere (earth)?
im fascinated how you built a cargo fleet so large. I was struggling to balance the shortage of polymer with the need for more solar panels with limited space for docking bays
Nah! This game is amazing. I got to chapter 4 and had to go back and restart chapter 3. Don't forget storage is key guys! Also if you can make the Tiqqun self sufficient for certain resources, like Alloy, food and power generation. (Don't rely to much on solar incase you need to up and leave the system asap) 😅
The Cult of the Hull appears in this chapter, the moment it starts, what are the pros and cons of embracing/rejecting them? I never noticed anything when I embraced them (other than the wall piece only working when the cult is present)
I have absolutely no idea, and have been wondering that too. Like, I embraced them, but haven't built any temples. Why are they not complaining? I'm not sure if something happens in Chapter 5, or if it affects the ending or something, but .. I'm as clueless as you are on this one, and would love some enlightenment too.
@@Caledorn In my first playthrough I never built any temples, except for 1 when I was about to end the game (as I wanted to see it) and I actually forgot the cult existed, I bet you get negative events for rejecting them?
So in my first playthrough I skipped Cruc P42 altogether to avoid that stability hit. I'm playing on challenging again for my second playthrough for the achievement so I'll definitely skip P42 again, if I can.
I have tried to do like the food and others but will not let me leave by the X I have to leave by the options and other than the destroyed command center it always triggers the storm
Concerning the Meier Bacteria, one scientist will survive if you have cryopods researched. You can collect the cryopod then and get a follow up event. I don´t remember the exact outcome, sorry.
There is something I don`t get yet: When leaving an event what happens? the storm gets bigger? and then what? the ships gets destroyed? What about Cruc-p-42? Is it left undone?
Yes, leaving the event in either P-42 or P-38 triggers the movement of the storm. So you need to be ready to move the Tiqqun in the opposite direction.
@@olusegunmaximus2241 ok so the storm does not move if a finish any other event? only P42 and P38 I have my science ships in other events but I have not move them yet.

Hello @Caledorn, I was wondering. I wanted to dismantle an EVA airlock and its stuck on 3 alloys remaining. Is this a bug? It's just there refusing to dismantle.
@CALEDORN. Please pin or post in your video's description a very important point for the COMPLETIONISTS!!! [Save your game before selecting any science paths. Arr that explains why my losses were lower in testing between myself and Caledorn
that makes a lot of sense.... I lost 12 with regular working policy and optimal working conditions.
Surprisingly little information on this game, thanks for it
