In a TV interview, Lara Fabian said they were rehearsing "Ti amo cosi" and at a pause, Aida looked over and said, "Hey, if I have to run out for something, he can sing my part." She then burst into laughter. Lara and Dimash joined in.
What a great job for Igor Krutoy to bring together these three great voices. Also, it was Dimash's dream to sing with Lara Fabian who is his childhood idol. WOW. Thank you from Montreal.

One of my favourite collaborations with Dimash ! Having his idol Lara Fabian was outstanding and Aida whose beautiful soprano voice was pure and heavenly ! Lara was fabulous singing in non operatic voice blended so richly with Dimash and Aida ! The magnificent stage of orchestra , choir and ice skating was unbelievable ! I would have love to see concerts like that in North America but sadly we are so far behind the European especially Russian stage performances and artistry ! You have it all at this concert visually and musically so fabulous not to mention three beautiful performers in Dimash, Lara and Aida ! I hope one day to witness a concert like this one ! Dimash wanted to perform with Lara Fabian for a long time. This was a first time collaboration with Lara. Lara was ill during this event. It was endearing the way Dimash supported her during the performance, by holding onto her arm and lovingly gazing at her. I noticed that Lara's voice was weaker and less emotionally impactful than usual, but being the professional that she is, she sang anyway.
Yes, she was very sick. I was able to perform only thanks to painkillers.
Lara was very sick that night. The night before she said to Igor (the master and pianist, who is a close friend of hers since 2006) thay she had high fever and a sore troat. Even though she decided to sing all live along Dimash and Aida. Lara is 51 years old, she has been singing Professionally since 1985. She is also classical voice trained for over 12 years, she plays piano since she was 8 years old, she also composes in 4 languages and sings in 12, she is fluent in 4 language. Thank you.
Igor Krutoy's birthday celebration concert. All songs presented were his. Dimash also sang with Aida ('Ulisse') at the concert. Also very good. Dimash sings baritone until the end, then pulls a surprise.

Great reaction as always. This was a live concert in Moscow for Igor Krutoy's 65th birthday celebration. The whole concert is worth checking out. If you don't already know, Igor Krutoy is the man at the piano who frequently accompanies Dimash. He is a famous Ukrainian and Russian music composer, performer, producer, and musical promoter, who has composed music for and performed with renowned singers in classical and contemporary music, such as Anna Netrebko, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Aida Garifullina, Andrea Bocelli, Lara Fabian, Alla Pugacheva, Irina Allegrova, and others. He ended his retirement after watching one of Dimash's performances so that he could compose music that only someone with Dimash's vocal ability could sing, such as I miss you, Ogni Pietra, Your Love, just to name a few.

Peoples artis of Russia Igor Krutoy wrote this song nearly a decade ago for Dima(D. Horostovsky) and he sang it with coloratura soprano Sumi Jo and Lara Fabian. This cals for classical baritone and soprano and If you ask me it is written in old school Sanremo festival style.

This event took place on the occasion of the 65th birthday of Igor Krutoi (here pianist) in 2019. He is a music titan in Russia (billionaire), a world-famous composer, sponsor and mentor in Russia. He came out of retirement to work with Dimash from time to time. They have a father-son-relationship... Can there be a nicer birthday? So far, Igor has composed several songs for Dimash and many songs in 30 years for Lara Fabian and other singers. Most of the songs in this concert were by him. Lilia Vinogradova wrote the lyrics and is known as a permanent co-author of the composer Igor Krutoy, with whom has created wonderful works in the crossover genre. She writes poems and texts for Russian and foreign composers and many well-known artists in Russian, Italian, English and French. Krutoy and Vinogradova created the cycle for DA Hvorostovsky, albums for Sumi Jo, Anna Netrebko, Yusif Aivazov, Lara Fabian and others. It's so, so beautiful and Dimash gives us a big vocal surprise at the end. You should react to it, you will love it 💖

This performance is a feast for the senses: the orchestra, the figure skaters and the three wonderful singers. Dimash is able to adapt his vibrato to his partner, so he is the perfect partner for both so different singers and builts a bridge between them. I celebrate this performance is often as I watch it. I will have to disagree with your observation @ 5:10, “when you’re so good with your craft, it is easy to blend in with your fellow artist/e/es”; not really, almost all the time Pavarotti or Bocelli are in a duet, they invariably overwhelm their fellow artist, even though they might not do it with that intent.
Bocelli completely overshadows Celine Dion in “the prayer”; Pavarotti completely overpowers U2/Bono when they collaborated.
... and Celine and Bono are not small names, but they do clearly get overwhelmed...
That Dimash chooses not to show off and show up Aida and Lara, is a testament to his grace and respect for his fellow artists. If and when he chooses to switch on his soprano colours, he knows he can hit notes that are ridiculously high and he graciously chooses not to.
Point being it is not just enough to be good at your craft; sometimes it is your restraint that helps to bloom a performance; and DQ totally embodies the concept of restraint in this song.

Nina, this nwas at Igor's 65th birthday celebration in Moscow where a lot oof songs were performed including a duet with Dimash & Aida to Ulisse. After this was over Igor composed & Lara wrote the lyrics to Your Love in 3 days time so that Dimash could debut it at the Kremlin Palace on International Woman's Day. In case you don't know already, Lara is one of Dimash's idols & people had been hoping for years for them to work together. As good as Lara was she was actually sick during this.
I'm surprised you haven't gone down the Lara Fabian rabbit hole yet, she is spectacular, you should possible do "Broken Vow" from the "Lara With Love" concert in the year 2000, she actually wrote this song!. This whole concert is spectacular and Lara is absolutely stunning and beyond gorgeous. The first time I watched this performance it broke me!
My first experience of the smooth quality Lara has, is that of Tina Arena - I Want To Speand My Lifetime Loving You.
Also.....i really agree with the fact that Dimash is definitely the best of our time, not a doubt in mind.

He is the richest person in music industry and highly respected composer and pianist. He is people’s artist of Russia( title give only to about 5 artist every year). Anna Yurivna Netrebko has this tiltle as well. Igor is by the way worth 12 billion.

Having discovered and become obsessed with Fabian's work the past couple of years, I'd be very interested in seeing your analysis of more of her work. Her timbre fascinates me. As the contralto daughter of a contralto basso, my aural net has never (ever) reacted to high frequencies too well. 😆 Fabian is the only soprano who has ever hit my nervous system like a rush of velvet. And I'd really like to understand more about her voice.
Most people ask for a possible reaction to her jaw-dropping performance of Je Suis Malade from the concert from lara with love (it was my gateway drug too), but I'm DYING to understand her original from that same concert You're Not From Here. It's really difficult but she keeps it sounding deceptively easy-breazy.
Or maybe her tour de force Papa Can You Here Me/Piece of Sky live. (The performance where she is wearing a white suit.)
I admire Fabian both for her prolific composing/songwriting in French English, Spanish and Italian as well.as how she works pieces she covers. She makes brilliant choices.

I highly recommend taking a listen…. The artists include: Sumi Jo, Dimitri Hvorostowsky and Lara Fabian. Dimitri was a baritone, so a slightly darker texture than Dimash, but also beautiful.
