Traveling with a drone has gotten very complicated. Need to check country requirements, airline requirements, and make sure you don't miss any important details ! Is it still worth it ?!?

These days you can easily buy (or fashion) drones that are armed. And the modified drones are also an issue, which can not be traced to the owner. 'Growing up without borders' channel also had their drones taken away.

I understand people's concern that drones can be used for bad things. But treating every drone owner like they are highly likely to do something evil with it, is like treating everyone who buys a knife as if they're planning to do something evil with it too. Anyway, traveling with a drone is getting simply ridiculous 🤷

@@SincerelyRaman You are totally right of course. It has become a rather messy problem, with the govt not doing its job and DCGA not giving proper guidelines to airlines. There is an issue with the chinese drones, and their mods / hacks. So now the airlines are left to decide on this, and they will usually not want to take any risk. Thank you for highlighting this issue, hope someone in DCGA etc are listening.

Can i carry dji mini2 in carry on luggage through newdelhi airport?

It's really hard to say for sure. Unfortunately, the rules seem to vary by airline too. Unless if the official information has gotten more clearly documented, it's a gamble going in with a drone 🤞

What about taking drone from Doha to New Delhi?

Arriving in New Delhi is a bit random. Because sometimes they scan the bags of people who are arriving, and sometimes they just let you walk past. The last time I arrived in Delhi, they weren't scanning people, so obviously I got in with my drone with zero issues. However, I'm not sure what would happen if they were scanning and found my drone?! Also, the size of drone you have might matter too. I had a Mini which they consider a "nano" size drone and the rules for that are much relaxed. If you have a drone bigger than 250g weight, then that could be another concern. To be perfectly honest, if I had a drone other than the Mini, I would just fly to India to some other city other than Delhi. It's not good news I know. It has been more than 1 year since my visit, so I would recommend you do research for more recent info. Good luck!
