I adore Subnautica to bits, but I still get a fear response every time I hear the Reaper Leviathan's roar.
Stasis rifle makes the game's horror a little trivial. theres no way i can be scared of a shark that cant move
I fear the reaper too
If you feed it a fish it will leave you alone for a few seconds.
I have killed EVERY leviathan and am still scared of reapers
Detecting multiple leviathan-class life forms. Are you sure what you’re doing is worth it?
I can't stop smiling from how the tab button makes her become a chibbi repeatedly... 😂
It's like she goes big brain mode whenever she uses the crafting machine
yes lmao
I think it's safe to say Subnautica is one of the *best* survival horror games out there that doesn't *advertise* itself as a survival horror game; seriously Ironmouse, just wait until you progress *further* ; that's when the fear factor *really* gets kicked up!
Yeah, She won't even need to go into the Void to meet an adult Ghost Leviathan, there's 2 in the Grand Reef!
I really hope she continues this game
I actually agree. I remember back in highschool BEGGING for an actual underwater game because I was obsessed with scuba diving. I thought it'd never happen and that i'd have to make it myself one day. Then as I got older BOOM subnautica came out and I was so hype. It felt like 18 years of wait was over lol. Below zero was also really good, but I didnt enjoy it as much as the first one. There was something magical they did with the first one honestly. And the mods are 10/10.
Technically, Subnautica uses terror more than it uses horror, though there are horror elements.
@@Ben_Kimber horrors just what you call the genre that's all about evoking *fear* in the audience, so you know what I mean.
I love how the second she talks about how she's finding Subnautica relaxing, it spawns both a biter and a sand shark
Mouse: "This game is so relaxing."
Subnautica: "And I took that personally."
I mean, it's plenty relaxing when it's not being stressful and anxiety inducing, lol
I see the Chainsaw Man op playing when the sand shark comes
The real subnautica experience really, once you get relaxed you suddenly stumble into a ghost leviathan or something
to be fair, when the games not scaring you half to death, its got some pretty nice sights to see.
I was doing "ok" with this game until I tried it in my VR headset. Wandering around inside the cyclops was cool until I got in the Prawn suit and dropped right into one of the deep canyons. That was....bad.
haha.... hahaha.... i can already just IMAGINE it as someone who both played Subnautica and has a VR headset...
nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope
Yeah, it was a 'Code Brown' moment
I can see how playing in VR would ramp the horror aspect of the game up to 11. I can imagine a face-to-face encounter with a reaper being that much more terrifying.
Man, I never made it that far. The combat drop into the marianas trench was PLENTY.
I realy hope they make it compatible for the psvr2, that would be so nice.
I love Subnautica. I also love when people go behind the Aurora for the first time 😈
Why? Nothing bad could possib-OHHH MY GOD THIS WAS A MISTAKE!!
Nothing bad ever happens to those who travel to the Aurora….nobody who’s good at their job anyway
Ironmouse constantly going in and out of Chibi form was hilarious, for some reason.
She should normalize it lol
Subnautica is simultaneously the most beautiful, relaxing game ever, and also the most terrifying experience I've ever felt.
I remember playing this on steam in early-access and later at full release. I remember after one particular update, there was a bug that caused the depth upgrade for the Seamoth to be way too powerful and I was able to dive deeper into areas the devs had not even started working on. It had a lot of place-holder textures and rock formations with sharp right angles. Also no sea creatures or resources of any kind.
genuinely hope you continue and finish this game mousey. the story is quite cool, it gets you a bit in the feels, gets you itnerested, and scared, all at once.
can't wait for her to meet the ... the friends. yeah. they're definitely friends. ... ... ...
*You better swim. Fast.*
Instead of "friends", we ought to call them...
"Henyas"~
*Distant and muffled "FUCK YOU DAYO!"*
Well, there is the *one* friend, but she's all the way at the bottom, so...
Mousey going into chibi mode every time she hits tab is so funny and adorable to watch.
Even I, who can swim and doesn’t fear open deep oceans, can get creeped out sometimes in subnautica. Beautiful game tho. 💝
Hi, I can't swim
I still get chills from the sound of the aurora exploding, such a good moment
The worst horror game for some people
Hasans gameplay was the funniest shit I ever watched. He didn't leave the pod for like 2 hrs cause he's so scared of open water 😂
@@system0fadowner251ButchX3 also has an amazing series on Subnautica
Some titanic horror.

Is there a video?
Ahh, Subnautica. So much fun, so much more fear-induced sweat and grim perseverance.
6:48 That edit bit was great🤣 and Subnautica is one of the great sea games, I always remember it when watching Dredge and Dave the Diver
*"Detecting multiple leviathan class lifeforms in the region, are you certain what your doing is worth it?"*
Wait till she hears this
4:00 the detailed edits like this are so good!
As is tradition, gotta have the classic inventory full of acid mushrooms at the start.
I loved playing Subnautica. It's elating, terrifying, and sometimes funny with moments of cute. The ending is rather bittersweet, though, with a certain pathos.
Subnautica, it's a really beautiful game if you don't mind all the terrifying moments, and having your survival dangle by a thread. Fun video Mousey, I look forward to watching your torment & joy fill moments in future episodes!
This is one of my all time favourite games, so I really hope we get more than one video of Mousey playing it!
I suggested her to play this game. So glad she played it!!

Stop the cap
Yeah you and like 500 other people.
@@RuSosan let them have their moment 😭
@@K0nomi No.
*enters dunes for the first time*
"Why does this place look so empty?"
*gets the message from the conputer*
"NOPE"
I just finished playing the sequel the other day, so it was both a surprise and a treat to see this get uploaded, hopefully Mousey enjoys the game if she plays it again!
The damn Amen Break whenever she swears gets me every time
0:06 That "Are you crazy?!" cracked me up.
4:00 wtf that edit was clean
Funny I wasn't afraid of the sea until very recently.
"Shark attack off the coast of egypt" you will never forget if you watch it. Kids screaming for his dad as hes being eaten alive.. And that last bite😲 haunting.
Also the "Cameron robbins" video.
After those two I've been sufficiently scared by the ocean.
I hope she plays the whole Game, it is so good.
There are a few quality of life mods that are probably worth looking into:
One expands the hotbar to 12 quickslots instead of 5, which is incredibly helpful once you start having to juggle more tools.
Another lets crafting pull resources from nearby storage units so you don't have to go searching through a dozen lockers for an item you have but misplaced, or have to keep restocking yourself while building big stuff. It saves a ton of time and tedium.
5:14 When you can smell that a pig is hiding.
Man I hope you keep uploading these- I love watching Subnautica play throughs
🎵Under the sea...🎵
Chibbi Mousey is too cute
Ain't that the truth. 🥰
At 0:01, Actually statistics show, that 90% of people who pay to take tight rope/trapeze lessons, actually suffer from a fear of heights. The lessons give them a feeling of control they didn't have before ! ❤
"Shark attack off the coast of Egypt "
"Cameron Robbins video"
okay... that thumbnail got me g o o d. that freaky maniacally grinning leviathan in the background
I'm glad you are playing Subnautica again, it's very chill game to watch. Once you get to using that basebuilder tool I'm sure you'll get even more into it :3
I really love this game and I have it on my PS4. I'm on the part where after you touch the control mechanism in the alien base where the Sunbeam was shot down, you have to discover the other alien bases.
brilliant title/thumbnail combo. I love the reaper in the background
I have 8-Bitryan to thank for getting me interested in Subnautica. It’s always great to see a Sandbox game with a little bit more to it than what’s expected, this and Terraria are some of the best examples of that.
"I am not even afraid of the ocean!" - that is about to be changed...
Lmao 😂😂, the hand unit said "Bruh" after Mousey nearly drowns at 2:04
Subnautica is one of my favorite games, and I can’t wait to Mouse’s reaction to *certain* creatures
I have thalassophobia (fear of open water essentially) but I *love* subnautica so much
God I love this game. Fucking secret horror game presented as a survival crafting game
It's always fun to see the random litter new players will pick up before they know what's useful and what's trash.
0:37
Ayo this chibi mouse doesn’t bite
The Chibi mouse …
"I get call of the void all the time." Jesus mousey. XD
This video gives me nostalgia from the first time I played this game.
I remember when she first played this its fun seeing how different she reacts to stuff
How far did she go btw? Did she meet THOSE folks swimming around Aurora?
4:00 i see what u did there, editor
If there was a game I could wipe from my memory just to have the experience of playing it for the first time again, it would be Subnautica.
I love Subnautica so Much so it's nice to see another steamer play it for once! Next time you stream Subnautica I will try my best to be there so I can help you if you need it, I will say that from where you are there will be so much more to go with seeing many different (and sometimes dangerous) creatures but I think you should be fine. Also when you do go to the Aurora (which slight spoiler but you have to fix it the Drive Core of the Aurora) You can enter at the Back of the Aurora easier than the Front but its an Underwater Enterance so it may be slightly hard to find but not that bad. I hope you continue the game though since after beating it personally, making all the connections between different voice logs, dialogue, and Notes shows just how great of a Story this game has!
My head still tips back every time that panel flies at the screen in the intro, as if I was actually just hit in the face by it.
Never played this myself.
I look forward to seeing what else you find in the game
Her chibi watching the detonation.... 😆
Mouse: i think im not afraid of the ocean anymore
Reaper ghost and dragon leviathans: allow us to introduce ourselves
I want to watch her play more of this
Subnautica is a great game, good to see you enjoy it
Typical Subnautica start - an inventory full of acid mushrooms.
If i may suggest mouse, build a base in the red kelp area, there should be a cave you can find that leads to the jelly shroom biome. You’ll have an endless amount of biofuel
Play these game with a VR headset makes the experience so much better
Oh hell yeah! Favorite vtuber playing a favorite game.
As I swim the valley of the shadow of the reaper, I will fear no leviathan, because I WEAPONIZED CRASHFISH!
Right away giving out fire safety tips and everything. But I don't know how to chibi myself.
Convenient that mousey played Subnautica right as I went back at it and finished it as well
I really need to finish this game someday
Hoping to see a Part 2 for this
You conquered your fear of water
I love my quality of life mods for Subnautica
Subnautica's soundtrack SLAPS
We need a nature documentary on the world of Subnautica.
There is a multiplayer mod btw, easy to install
8:20 Fish was so ugly, it de-shibitized Mousy.
I've finished this game like 3 times already and it still gets scary as fuck looking down and knowing you gotta go that deep lmao
Subnautica has the most satisfying "objective completed" sound of all time. Witcher III is a close second.
Fucking hell I missed the noises of that game, everything sounds so satisfying.
Le Leviathan: let us introduce ourselves
Now I really want her to meet the Reaper Levithan 😂😂
3:00 that hurted me more than I thought it would
"I'm not afraid anymore"
Okay return of the ancients mod playthrough when mouse?
Watching vtubers get scared or losing it reacting to ppl like LGIO. Is quite entertaining.
*Me watching the fleet explode afar* : 😐Okay then, Bye Bye ! 😅Me I get out to this area 6:05
Please do a whole series
Subnautica is incredible, a game so good i went from pirating it to buying it.
Thems famous last words, mouse
the breakbeat curse censoring continues to be incredibly funny
Ah yes, the sea. The last true frontier for a planet.
I wanna see her reactions to “the line” and getting to the Dead Zone.
if ironmouse could only experience fishing in Warframe... epic feeling
No Reapers, No Ghosts tungsten rat how the hell did u get to the bulb zone before checking out the aurora
You do not know true fear on my game until you’ve met gargantuan leviathan’s
Subnautica made someone not scared of the ocean???
Oh, she didn’t get to any of “those” parts yet.
Everyone who has seen the title and has played the game: Ha ha ha, YOU FOOL!
I’ve started hardcore mode more times than I can count… almost beat it and ended up drowning just before doing the end game stuff to get the credits
Excellent thumbnail
Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? 🎶
I started maniacally laughing after I saw this
Honestly i don't do well with ocean stuff and if were to play this game chances are i would probably freak out in genuine fear xd
