@@GumzOnTheTrack well yes, in edm that's probably true but he could use a bunch of different scales to build the melody anyway. Also those roots could be inversions, say the bVII root could also be a v in first inversion. There are a ton of possibilities

Can anyone explain what the V and I means?
Its the position of the chord in the scale, watch music theory videos theyre really helpful
It means the 5th note in a scale. So for the C major scale it would be the a G . There are 7 notes in the major scale. So for C Major the 7 notes are C D E F G A B . V means 5 . So the 5th note which is G, you do a G Maj with a flat 7th to stay in the C Maj scale. So your chord would be G B D F. 1 is CEGB 5 is GBDF. If you want to use C#Major just move everything up one key. So 1 for C#Major is C#FG#C and 5 is F# A# C# and E.
pretty sure for example 2nd one the F#5 to C#5 to d#min, that progression should be notated I V vi because the one and the five are major (so capital) and the 6 is minor (so not capitalized) just for yk organization and clarities sake, i could b wrong tho fact check,,, pretty sure thats right tho, BUT I LOVE UR WORK BROOO THANK U!

Check out my serum preset banks, most of the presets that I used are from those banks. But basically what I did is layer a square wave with a detuned supersaw

First, you obviously need serum which is a paid plugin. And then you just have to download my serum banks (you can find them on my channel) and follow the instrucctions that I wrote on the txt file

It's really not that hard to make an opium type beat. No offense of course, but when you're using the same drums, synths and progressions you've heard from the last 2-3 years you start to get tired of it
