In a way this resonates with the way young people are becoming now, living their lives through screens. Not all, ofcourse, but I see many who don't interact with one another, just sit glued to their phones, while real life happens around them.
I find this not only resonating with that, but the number of parents who let screens do the babysitting and parenting. The kids often have little bond with the parents, or sense familial structure, because the parents weren't there doing their job either.
This story is so weird and confusing to me. The whole concept freaks me out, and it makes no sense. Not once did they mention what was wrong with Africa, and why were the kids so attached to it? It makes zero sense.

Excellent narration. Love Bradbury's short stories.

it's talking about a world where people are dependent and addicted to technology to do menial stuff for them or keep us happy.
And likewise that when kids are left with technology as the parent, there is no bond or understanding of actual parental guidance.
