Great vid, very informative. Picking up our '25 LE 900 model next week. Have wanted one for years...some things are very much worth waiting for. You will likely hear from me. Chuck

I nave a 2022 skandic 600 etec 125 Hsp I believe. Can be scary the power it has. I wanted the 900 ace but in 2022 they were sold out. I keep a come along in the big box. Box was expensive but worth it. I put Simmons Generation 3 skis on it to help with the tipsy feeling I weigh 200 lbs but it can throw me around like a rag doll. Sled has 2000 miles with zero mechanical issues. Perfect machine for my use.
@@stephanvallee5167 I tow 3 sleds in tandem a Pelican 75 and 2 Large Otter sleds when i take clients fishing, I'm a Maine Guide. This sled doesn't bog down deep snow slush whatever. Ok on the trails but its long and heavy built for work that's what I use it for. I've been told the 600 has been around a long time and they have it fine-tuned. The motor runs superb very satisfied.
@@stephanvallee5167 I have a 600r and built a cabin on an island. I towed most of the materials for a 28X40 cabin by snowmobile. This thing tows like a beat through slush and will outdo any 900 ACE in the slush by a mile. I can creep through the bush with this thing in low. I have a backup pull start. I've run several of my 600 etecs 8-10k, no issues. I think the ACE's are great if you have traction, but in slush, horsepower is king no matter what anyone says.
Love my 2015 SWT Skandic 600 ETEC. Upgraded from the stock 1 1/4" track to 1 3/4" x 24". The traction is insane! The guys at the dealership said they'd never seen anyone upgrade to a track that size before! LOL. Well worth the $$ if you can afford it. Use it for grooming, firewood, ice fishing and other utility. Also got my vehicle unstuck with it using a kinetic tow rope one time. Etec never failed to start at low temps. and still has the original battery! Only thing that broke so far was the thumb warmer which i replaced on the cheap and the backup alarm. I've always wondered how those 4-strokes start when it gets super cold??
I have a block heater on my 900 ACE . But earlier i used a hot air fan under the side hood for 1hour to warm up it abit . As i dont have a Warm garage i have to macgyver it abit on my yard . I feel the 600R is more fuel economic than the 900ace too . But i have heard that pistons may go bad after awhile on the 600r . And make sure the fuel filter is changed .Well fuel filter should be changed on all BRP machines . Are you storing your maching in a warm garage all the time ? Have you installed ice scrapers to help with cooling and making the slides get snow and ice on hardpacked now and ice ? Thats important in ACE machines . I have extra fan but its mainly for the slides to get cooling and lubrication . Regards from Sweden
What do you think of " Eco mode " Standar mode " Sport mode " ? Do you lock your flip when only towing and dont go bush driving in deep snow ? I put a block heater on my 900ACE and its perfect when its abit colder . I dont have gear box on my Lynx like you have with low and high . Thats someting i would like to have . but but . Perfect sleigh. I have a similar one made in same material here in Sweden . Regards from Sweden
600 ace expedition 16 inch wide by 154 inch long track is more than enough for me. It could carry a fully loaded 10 foot long sled full of fire logs up a hill. Not steep hills just medium steep hills only and low steep hills. 900 ace would be perfect for very steep hills with heavy load towing. But I’m hoping I get a 900 ace as a back up sled real soon.
Ask anyone who doesn't have any real world hunting g experience what kind of a gun u need to hunt deer, most will say 300 mag. Same with snowmobiles. 900 is underpowered??... is the equivalent to the statement re 300 mag. My son runs the 600 ace skandic. Absolutely unstoppable... be it... 4 ft of snow or 2 ft of slush. And about 20mpg. For the true hunter, a 30-30 or 270 is deadly. For the true backcountry fisherman, the 600 ace is MORE then enough. Lord knows how I survived and excelled for decades on a 250 bravo trapper and 440 bearcat.
Agree but also what kind of track is it . There is diffrent on all Skidoo and Lynx . I have standard 15inc wide but higher 2,86" . It scoops slush very very good . with 900 ACE . But of course when pulling something . If that will get full of slush and water and will weigh a ton . You will be stuck after a while no matter what machine you have .
@@thomasanderson-cs8kp I have a buddy with a SWT Skandic with a 900 ACE. When it comes to pulling in slush, even the SWT won't compete with my 20" 600r etec. Too many problems with these four strokes that I don't have. I know the ACE cult will go nuts, but four strokes belong in jet skis.
24 skandic 900 SE, first sled I've ever owned. So far, so good. ONLY complaint, snow flap is too short. Towed a none covered sled first trip. The entire sled packed full of snow. Got a sled with cover, still covers sled with snow and slush, but at least everything is dry after taking cover off. Buddy i go fishing with has a 22 expedition 600r. His snow flap is a couple inches off the ground with no snow in his sled. Cannot find a factory longer snow flap.
Good review. Love my 22 Expedition 900T. Can’t go wrong with any of their utility / work sleds. They make one for everyone.

Great stuff
I have both the 900Ace non turbo and the 900 Ace turbo. You are absolutely correct. You definitely do not need the turbo.👍
Excellent rig and review.i have the 2016 900 LE and yup lots of power. Also have 7.5 foot y.e.s.toboggan.cheers bro

Just bought the 2025 skandic swt 900 ace. More power than I will ever need in the Yukon. Would never need more power in the bush.
Yukon Sleds has come out with a Trapper box for your sled that's very impressive

Do you tow a toboggan with the 600 R , i like to know how the 600 etec tow.

What is the main difference between a tundra and the skandic

How do you transport your YES sleigh ? Pick up box or trailer it is not small
You might need a winch 🤔🤘

When will the manufacturers clue in to the fact that not everyone wants a 200 hp sled that will do 120 mph?
They have a clue. Lots of options out there.
