I went to a Golden Corral in College Station, Texas . Had a plate of refried beans, Mexican style rice and cheese enchilada casserole. Finished that up, got a plate of meatloaf , turnip greens and penne pasta. Still wasn’t full, so I got a third plate of some mashed potatoes, pinto beans and white rice, and by the time I was done with that, I was stuffed. It was all delicious. I love their variety!

It is astounding to see the selections available at the Golden Corral! I have eaten at Golden Corral many, many times and it seems like they add to the buffet all the time! My family and I stopped at that Lynchburg location on our way back to Roanoke several years ago . Was surprised to see they had a few different items than the GC in Roanoke. Roanoke finally caught up

There was a time when GC was a decent steakhouse, competing with Ryan's in some places. Had a variety of steaks, as well as chicken, and fish. Haven't been to one in ages. Might have to give one a try sometime when traveling.... I enjoyed buffets as a teenager. Not so much now, as a senior. The food in this one looked good. One of your longer videos, I think. Good one. I remember when they were a steakhouse. They had a salad bar and a small food bar (compared to the buffet today). We use to go there after church on Sundays. That location is no longer in existence. I wish they were still set up like that. I'm sure I'm in the minority. lol Thanks for watching.
Haven't had Golden Corral in a good while but see some new additions, don't remember them having ICEEs in the past! Didn't remember them having Chicken n Dumplings or Salmon Cakes either as I would have definitely indulged into those! I will say the mashed potatoes and them yeast rolls always steal the show with each plate! Y'all should get the Pot Roast next time y'all go back, I usually make a meal out of that for the most part it's that good but then again you can't go wrong with good Pot Roast! They made some additions with the remodel. They added the hibachi grill and the icees. There is no chocolate fountain now. When you come in you fix your soft drink too. Will definitely try the pot roast next time. There is so much to try! We really enjoyed church this morning. We thought it was a wonderful Easter. We are in Myrtle Beach now.

It is so interesting seeing how similar our local Golden Corral is, but with a couple of small differences. Our food quality matches up to your experience, and I'm a steak fan too. We don't have the hibachi. We get more soups and a chocolate fountain.😂 One thing I think is regional is a bit more Mexican foods like whole roasted whole fresh jalapeños, a few scratch-made salsas, flour tortillaa, tamales, fajita makin's, and chili con carne, along with the tacos. You can basically do a whole Mexican meal. Sadly, ours shut down after a massive kitchen fire last June. They are still working on the repairs. Can't wait for the Grand ReOpening! Great video. Id have to go with the butterfly shrimp, crab salad, college cheese, mandarin oranges, bleu cheese salad with ham, tomatoes, cucumbers, sesame seeds, croutons, cheese, mushrooms, buttered rolls, mashed and gravy, meatloaf, squash, bourbon chicken, broccoli and cheese soup, broccoli, chicken and dumplings, lotsa milk, salmon cakes, salisbury steaks. Gotta PORTION!! chocolate cream pie, rice krispies, peanut butter cookies, lemon cake Mashed & gravy too!! The meatloaf would make good roll sandwich Also, i save space by mixing some together like mixing corn into the potatoes

Great narration. You covered everything. Good stuff there in Lynchburg. Want a poor selection with none of the good stuff...head to the GC on Cooper Rd. in Gilbert/Mesa, AZ. They lack many of the items GC is noted for...no grilled meats, no chicken breasts, limited desserts, and so on and so forth. Also, they make the utensils hard to find..

There is a Golden Corral in Newport News VA across from the Airport and it has a better presentation and the food there is delicious. It's important to keep the food area clean and straight but this particular one didn't look as kept up as what I am used to. Also, they seemed in Newport News to have better meat choices and more choices in general. I guess that area might have more patrons than Lynchburg. They have more fresh grilled meats such as roast beef, steak, and on and on but I haven't been recently. Quality, I am sure, differs from area to area.
We have had so many comments on our Golden Corral reviews. There seem to be so many differences in the different locations. Most say this location is much better than their location. I heard that the Golden Corral in Virginia is really good. The one in my town went out of business over a year ago because I am sure. It was so nasty. I went in there to eat, paid my money and walked out without eating. I went on TripAdvisor and posted everything that was wrong. It wasn’t long, they were gone.

Whenever I go to the Corral for fish and fries (fish & chips), I have to bring my own malt vinegar. They don't have it, and the employees at our location never heard of it! Is that nuts or what?? 🍟

I live on New York's Long Island, which I consider a "vast wasteland" for buffet-style restaurants! L.I. has three million people, (larger than 18 states), but has practically no buffets, (other than some Chinese buffets)! We did have Golden Corrals, Ponderosa's, Sizzlers, Old Country Buffets, etc., but almost all have gone out of business! Why, because of outrageous property taxes & high energy costs but Co-Vid put an end to the last of them! Pitty!
I know that has to be disappointing. The high cost of operating makes it difficult for buffets and family restaurants to survive. Appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment.

Also, they seemed in Newport News to have better meat choices and more choices in general. I guess that area might have more patrons than Lynchburg. They have more fresh grilled meats such as roast beef, steak, and on and on but I haven't been recently. Quality, I am sure, differs from area to area.
We have had so many comments on our Golden Corral reviews. There seem to be so many differences in the different locations. Most say this location is much better than their location. Hello have you ever gone to The Colonial Restaurant its on 8790 Wards Rd, Rustburg Va, 24588 , south of Lynchburg Va ,they serve home cook food, sandwiches, seafood, breakfast, and desserts, steaks and chops, veggies and rolls.

I heard that the Golden Corral in Virginia is really good. The one in my town went out of business over a year ago because I am sure. It was so nasty. I went in there to eat, paid my money and walked out without eating. I went on TripAdvisor and posted everything that was wrong. It wasn’t long, they were gone.

Whenever I go to the Corral for fish and fries (fish & chips), I have to bring my own malt vinegar. They don't have it, and the employees at our location never heard of it! Is that nuts or what?? 🍟

I wish they would build one in Silver Spring, Maryland in the White Oak Shopping Center. 1- it'll build the revenue again . 2-It'll give people like me more jobs again.

Golden Corrals can be hit and miss, some are great,some are meh, and some are awful. The one near my hope is meh.

I live on New York's Long Island, which I consider a "vast wasteland" for buffet-style restaurants! L.I. has three
million people, (larger than 18 states), but has practically no buffets, (other than some Chinese buffets)! We
did have Golden Corrals, Ponderosa's, Sizzlers, Old Country Buffets, etc., but almost all have gone out of business!
Why, because of outrageous property taxes & high energy costs but Co-Vid put an end to the last of them! Pitty!
I know that has to be disappointing. The high cost of operating makes it difficult for buffets and family restaurants to survive. Appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment.
