There’er so many people who don’t listen to us these days. They seem to be more interested playing with their smartphones than really paying attention to what we need to say. Mark you’re great! I’m a big fan. Thank you for all your body language information!.

It is quite astonishing that we have to teach adults who have been through a school system what good listening behaviour is. But it is true, there are so few people who listen well. Thank you Mark.

True story, and this is just one good example: I met a gentleman while prospecting for clientele merely by "cold" knocking at his door. During 2 hours of conversation (AKA, about 98% purely listening) I was invited in the house, given a tour (I'm in real estate by the way), offered water, and finally told, "It's crazy, I feel like I already know you!"
Of course he already felt like he knew me, he just shared a massive amount about himself! Why? Because I created an environment where he felt listened to, validated, and free to express himself. Trust is key.

Does enacting listening body language actually help you listen better? Are people who exhibit listening behavior better at perceiving/processing what someone is saying to them?
