    Great review. I really liked the teardown. Sometimes you never really know what inside until someone looks.

      Haha yea. I've always torn everything apart even as a kid.

    Did you test the Rotation feature? Rotation is useful if cameras must be mounted upside down on the aircraft. The early EV809D goggles had Rotation as an option in menu, but it didn't work & this option was removed in later shipments. I think this is an important feature if it doesn't slow the capture rate or cause dropped frames. Very anxious for your testing of Rotation. Thanks.

    You said the internal battery is a lipo. Does this mean I have to take „normal“ lipo precautions like drain / load the battery to 3.8v/cell for storage? How would that work on an internal battery pack? Does the goggle come with a „storage mode“ to restore the proper voltage?
    Just bought one, and now I’m kinda scared to test it without knowing.

    • @TweetFPV
      @TweetFPV  Год назад

      Yes it's a lipo, technically you could treat it like any other Lithium Polymer battery and follow the normal guidelines but in reality there's really not much you're going to end up doing with this there's so many other lipos in your daily life that you don't think about you know storage charge or anything like that like take your cell phone for example nobody really cares just use it till it doesn't work and replace the battery once it's bad

    • @Typ_im_dunkelln
      @Typ_im_dunkelln Год назад

      @@TweetFPV that’s somewhat of a relief. But your example of cell phones sounds weird, aren’t those Li-Ion batteries and don’t apply for things like storage voltage?

    • @TweetFPV
      @TweetFPV  Год назад

      The same maintenance principals apply for lithium based batteries. Certin characteristics of each battery make them more or less susceptible to damage from poor maintance practices.
      There's a lot of information out there on what is right and some of it contradicts it's self.
      I either case in regard to your goggles just use them and if the battery life gets unaccepably short just replace the battery. There's nothing special about it. Any battery with the same specs can be used when it comes time for replacement.

    Thanks for the review, appreciated the tear down, you're the first I've seen do this and the first I've seen talk about the antennas. Question: Which cheap/value antennas do you recommend? Thanks

      The axii antennas are great. I linked one of my preferred patch and omni antennas in the video description.

    It really needs to be Fat32 not exFat. I had to reformat my 64 gb sd card to be 32 for this. Use diskpart on command line, ask chatgpt what exactly to do. This is the only thing that made it work for me

    Received my pair this week (my first goggles). Haven't flown yet but they hooked up really easily. I wear contacts and think I'll have to wear reading glasses to have a clear view. I haven't tried without contacts/no glasses yet. Was the DVR at the end of the video with stock antennas?
