I'd say go with the Gesi catted option on the RR Racing exhaust. Gesi cats are high flowing and good quality. Catless cars tend to brown up the paint on the rear of the car. I don't know specifically about this car but there's also the added possibility of a check engine light if you do a cat delete. Anyways, hopefully I can catch you out on these roads one of these days and we can cruise. I'd love to see this car carving those roads

Not sure if the armytrix exhaust is made for the IS500 yet. Obviously same 5.0 in the RCF and man that exhaust paired with EL headers (I think it’s EL, saw it on YT) is nuts
Got a GS350 AWD and now this is my goal as a weekend fun car. My GS has a naturally aspirated V6 and paired with this V8 I'll have some classic cars that will be rare in the future and reliable!
Excellent!!! I have a Cloudburst with red. I agree about wanting a little more from the exhaust. I'll look into the RR and go with the cats. I love mine, it's like the perfect sleeper. I got rid of the Bridgestones last month for some Pilot Sport 4s but I think DWS 06+ would have been a huge improvement too
@@Nhxn_ it converts gases and reduces emissions. On the performance side, taking them off frees up some power. Some exhaust manufacturers make hi-flo cats that reduce emissions while still delivering power
California resident and car enthusiast here. Don't bother with catless. Yeah you don't have to smog for what like 4 years if you sell it, 8 if you keep it but when that day comes, you're going to regret it. What I've been doing for a while is called a muffler bypass. You go to a local mechanic, have them drill a 1 inch hole into your exhaust pipe right before it connects to the mufflers and then another hole at your tip deletes and weld a 1 inch pipe from hole to hole on each side. It allows maybe 20% bypass, releases a lot of cracks and burbles, has ZERO drone, and is still california legal as far as smog goes. Modifying exhaust for sound in any way is illegal here but f that. RUclips muffler bypass. Not a muffler delete, but a bypass.

Also, I would think the new IS-F would compete perfectly with German competitors if they could figure out a turbo/twin turbo system for the 5.0. Im aware that other Lexus/Toyota engines have either very limited or very supported performance changes. But a turbo or twin turbo 5.0 with 600+ hp, some more aggressive springs and dampers, brakes, small cosmetic changes to differentiate between the F, and yeah! But I doubt that would happen. Plus, imagine the backlash they would get if adding forced induction to this 5.0. It is very special nowadays having a naturally aspirated V8.

You cannot. I feel your pain. A huge annoyance is when you remote start the vehicle, walk up and unlock to begin your drive, it shuts off and you have to restart it before driving away. I’ve seen people make videos on overriding this. So I’m sure someone has figured out how to override being able to leave the car running and lock it as well. Thanks for watching!
It's not as easy as just goong catless. Lexus specifically tuned the flow of the engine to the cats. So when you just yank them off the flow of the exhaust might be worst. If you go catless just take it to a tune shop which since u live in california theres a bunch of tuner shops there
I think an ISF version should get the 10 speed auto, 6 piston brakes up front and 4 piston on rears, and a slightly wider track than the IS500. Maybe a carbon roof and/or hood option too.

I believe if the vehicle is equipped with the 10.3 inch display the resolution should be the same. My IS350 has the standard 8 inch display and the resolution isn’t a good as the upgraded 10.3
How soft is the suspension? Also how communicative is the steering and brakes? I test drove a m340i and the steering and brake feel were basically numb.
If they went ISF: brakes would be upgraded. They are a weak spot and something you should consider upgrading yourself! Other than that it's already got the LSD, sport tuned suspension, sweet exhaust. Not sure where else they can upgrade them.
I think that they didn't call it/market it as an IS F because they wanted to put this v8 into it (which I'm so glad they did) but if it was an IS F it would compete with M3's and although it's a fantastic and better engine than the S58 (IMO) it just wouldn't be fast enough. And I wouldn't have been able to afford one so I'm happy they did what they did.
I’m totally content with it not keeping up with the likes of the M3. However from the renderings I’ve seen of what an ISF could look like. I wish the 500 had that aggressive stance and those gills. As well as a different seat from the 350.
Had an ISF and enjoyed the V8 and also have driven newer RCF. The only reason I got rid of the car is because of the slow transmission. Even my acura RDX tranny is faster than ISF and RCF
I believe you only notice a difference if your vehicle is equipped with the F sport handling package. My IS350 F sport does not have this option and I do not feel a difference between eco, normal and sport mode.
How is the snow mode on it? I’m in the mix for the same exact car and live in an area where we get snow a couple months out of the year and want to know it’s it’s worth getting.
I haven’t had a chance to drive it in snow. However, I have a 22’ IS350 that I have driven through a mud slide. I did use snow mode. Made it through no issues. There was an F150 and G-Wagon that slide down the hill. (Driver made the difference?) However I would imagine a RWD V8 might not be the best in snowy conditions. But a lot of fun!! I have a black 2012 is250 never had any problems and still looks new. I added the F sport exhaust doesn’t void out the warranty.

ISF would probably have stiffer suspension, heavier steering, and a 10 speed. A pop-up spoiler might also be added, like in the RCF.

I would say it’s soft when you need it to be and stiffens up in sport plus mode. If I were to track it often I would definitely swap it out.

I’m totally content with it not keeping up with the likes of the M3. However from the renderings I’ve seen of what an ISF could look like. I wish the 500 had that aggressive stance and those gills. As well as a different seat from the 350.

Had an ISF and enjoyed the V8 and also have driven newer RCF. The only reason I got rid of the car is because of the slow transmission. Even my acura RDX tranny is faster than ISF and RCF

Do you notice a difference between sport and sport+ mode? Because I honestly can’t hone in on any differentiation 🤔
I believe you only notice a difference if your vehicle is equipped with the F sport handling package. My IS350 F sport does not have this option and I do not feel a difference between eco, normal and sport mode.

How is the snow mode on it? I’m in the mix for the same exact car and live in an area where we get snow a couple months out of the year and want to know it’s it’s worth getting.
I haven’t had a chance to drive it in snow. However, I have a 22’ IS350 that I have driven through a mud slide. I did use snow mode. Made it through no issues. There was an F150 and G-Wagon that slide down the hill. (Driver made the difference?)
However I would imagine a RWD V8 might not be the best in snowy conditions. But a lot of fun!!
