Obama was reported to have included ‘Fleabag’ as one of his favourite TV Shows of 2019. As for the series, please stick with it. It’s going to take you into some emotive places as the characters and their flawed relationships are revealed. The second series, is even better. Enjoy! 😷
I love this show, it’s so funny but we also get so much emotional depth too as we get to know Fleabag more. The first series is excellent but the second is a work of art!
Oh my goodness I just finished the show today a year after your reaction videos and I’m immediately bingeing everything to do with the show, your content is so perfect for me :DD much love, this show means everything to me
Fleabag is so frisky and fun and Phoebe Waller Bridge who stars in this and i think wrote it as well, she also wrote for the first series of Killing Eve, which is also incredibly fun to watch. Love your reactions.
Subscribed! One of my favourite shows of all time, so glad I found your channel through this vid because your personality is so lovely. Can't wait to see more of your reactions 😊
This is my first time coming across this reaction series to one of my favourite shows ever, and immediately, I hear "I wanted to watch something a little less heart-wrenching and a little bit more fun" and, sure, it's less heart-wrenching than Chernobyl, but I just had to take one big gulp, like, "Well... fun? Sure. Not heart-wrenching?... we'll see about that" 😅 I feel confident saying this, seeing that you've reacted to the entire series already, so it's not exactly a spoiler, but it is fun to see that irony at play 😆 This reaction was so cool! I'm keenly jumping into the next reaction! Super fun :)
Subbed for this! This show is one of my absolute favorites - it has it all, the jokes, the trauma, relationships, and search for love. Can't wait for your reaction! PS Gosh you're pretty!
I love that she wrote and started in this. And the 3rd camera idea is brilliant! Other great British comedies are Ricky Gervais's Extras and Rowan Atkinson's MR BEAN. OMG, almost forgot Dawn French in THE VICAR OF DIBLEY, a must-see!
I enjoyed your intelligent comments and summary and have Subscribed. :) Most of the best British Shows deliberately end after 2 Series and leave their audience wanting more while they get out at the top and thus superb series is no exception. Enjoy :)
Fleabag is amazing. She is such a fuckup. Trainwrecked through her '20s and '30s. I got tired of dealing with girls like that. But I appreciate their freedom and honesty. So many of us pretend we are in control when we are not. I hang with peope who dont pretend. It allows them to be so muc more free and able to advance with self-reflection.
Great great choice, though may have more dramatic elements than you thought when you picked it! But this is one of the best comedy / dramas of recent years. Both seasons are worth doing. (If you want a British comedy that is pure comedy, you could try Peep Show).
Yeah it had a lot more dramatic elements than I thought but it was so well balanced with everything else that it worked! I’ve never heard of Peep Show but I’ll definitely check it out 🙂
@@NoxSoSubtle Peep Show is about two 20-30 something guys who share a flat. It uses an interesting POV-style where you hear the character's inner thoughs (the focus on drifting young adults, and the use of inner monologue, means it is in a way a male counterpart to Fleabag - but it is much more purely a comedy; it also has Olivia Colman - the stepmother in fleabag - in it). It was a bit of a cult thing when initially on but is now often cited as one of the best comedies of the last 20 years.
@@sterow I struggle with the cringe level of that show. What I've seen of it is really funny, but I kind of get too much second hand embarrassment for the characters and stop watching!
This was one of those things where I discovered the show completely by chance when it was brand new, so despite how huge it became, it felt like my thing that I'd discovered. And I just loved it from the start, loved and hated and identified with her so much - the whole first series is pretty much perfect. (I never actually watched the second, though) EDIT: Oh and since Fleabag is quite short even if you watch both series, I'll suggest Misfits as a next show to watch. It doesn't get enough love and is fantastic - similar mix of (British) humour and drama/pathos
Admittedly I am only 67 years old in London but I still do not understand many Women and fear I never will :) You found the first season "perfect" and yet never bothered to see the equally brilliant second series ? It's like me. I saw this fabulous Artist give the best Concert I have ever attended recently but I am DEFINITELY never going to see him again !...
@@Isleofskye People change, things change. I haven't watched any new TV series in about four years - can' t keep my attention on it. Anyway, 'perfect' means 'complete, finished'. A second season of Fleabag just felt like fanfiction, which didn't appeal to me very much.
How did I miss that you're reacting to this?? PWB is amazing and I thought the first season was genius, and there was only supposed to be one season, and then she came out with season 2 and it was geniuser!! If you ever get to see the recording of her doing the original one woman show version of this - which is how it all started - definitely do it. It's so good, as well.
It’s been a while since I watched fleabag, and had forgotten just how good it was. She’s right about the step mother though, a deeply unpleasant person
No. Lost is great but has 121 episodes. At 1 per week, that would take 3 years to watch. And it's better when you have a second reactor with whom to discuss theories.
If you haven’t seen it you should definitely react to Netflix “The Crown.”Coming off of “Chernobyl,” it seems like something that would be of interest.
Wow. Nice job of hitting them where they ain't. Most reaction channels focus solely on the most popular films and shows of the last ten years. I loved Fleabag, but it is far from a mainstream hit. Kudos on reviewing something YOU wanted to see.
"something a little less heart wrenching"
oh my sweet summer child
“a little less heartbreaking” who’s gonna tell my girl
Phoebe Waller Bridge is an amazing comedy writer. She was also the head writer of Killing Eve for the first season, which was arguably the best one.
Omg I had no idea! I love Killing Eve!
And co-wrote James Bond No time to die.
@@marilynseptember21 Oh my god

The season 2 is just beautiful. One of the best things I've seen.
Thanks I'll watch it anyway. Barry usually limits himself to stories about 🍆 . Vile...gay Kenyan.
Your commentary is a perfect mix of comedy and story immersed observations, it's fun to watch someone enjoy a show as much as I did! Fleabag is great!

Please watch all episodes. This is up there as one of the best ever TV comedies. Each episode gets better and better!
Nice! I’m excited!
Fleabag is the kind of comedy where you can't constantly look away, you miss the subtle facial expressions and eye contact.
“A little less heart wrenching and a little more fun” HONEY…. You’ve got a big storm coming😃

This is late but I thought Phobe wrote for s1 and s2 of Killng Eve.

I know she made this months ago but this girl just gets it. You can definitely tell she’s a seasoned Britt tv show viewer! 😊
Phoebe Waller Bridge?! I knew that name sounded familiar. She wrote the screenplay for No Time To Die and also was the head writer for Killing Eve.
