It's very interesting to see you guys react to the fourth wall breaking. It's quite common in British comedy. Even when I was younger there were a few kids shows I watched that used that technique too. I've never seen this show but based off your reaction I might give it a go. This was a lot of fun guys :)
@@davidz3879 Not recent but "Secret Diary of a Call Girl" and "Miranda" (sitcom) used it and other shows when I was growing up as well, but they came on randomly on TV so I wouldn't know the name. "Peep Show" did something similar although it was POV more than 4th wall breaking. I don't watch TV nowadays so I wouldn't know if Fleabag is the only show in recent times using that style. For me, the 4th wall breaking felt very normal so when they commented on it I found that perspective really interesting.
The guy on the bus is referred to in the show's credits as "Bus Rodent" The woman giving the lecture is Phoebe Waller-Bridge's mother Fleabag S1 was remade almost shot by shot in France under the title "Mouche" with the main character played by Camille Cottin
Phoebe Waller-Bridge is a genius, she wrote this for stage, it was a play... It became so successful that was turned into a series. She is an amazing writer, she wrote the last 007, No time to die.

This series is so well written, the pacing of the scenes is perfect. You ask a question and the script answers it right away. This episode is one of the best in the series, it presents the characters objectively and at the same time makes breaking the fourth wall seem natural from the first minutes.
season 2 of this show is PHENOMENAL. her character is really unlikeable in the first season i find, but the second season you grow to love her as a character

I watched these episodes a good year odd ago and loved them. She's like a guy, enjoying her best life but creates issues for herself as she goes, you can see her pretty much kicking herself for every conquest, she gets disgusted at herself and then that good old ego kicks in. Genius humour to.
