Season 1 is good but season 2 is perfect, mostly thanks to the dynamic between Phoebe and Andrew. Also if you want some more Andrew Scott, I can't recommend "Ripley" enough. Wildly different character, though

The waitress played Fleabag in the touring theater act. And most of the extras are the cast and crew family and friends. Really an all inclusive effort.

@@Dunc25535 it’s not supposed to be funny.. it’s a tragic scene about her losing her baby.. it’s her accepting it is gone yet not letting those emotions out because she can’t handle it. The delivery is not funny it is absolutely devastating seeing Claire in that position and she clearly needs help. Not to pull the gender thing but u clearly don’t get it if you were never in her position and never will get it

Bill Patterson's such a good actor - to me, it's clear that 'Dad' is deteriorating and has done markedly in the year since the last season - Pretty sure he's begining to suffer from dementia or some thing similar. Adds something I think to his apparent passivity about how the Stepmother treats Fleabag.
Fun fact: the actresses that plays the waitress is Phoebes Waller-Bridges understudy for the Fleabag Stage Play. Probably a clumsy reference with the waitresses on the floor and fleabag passing on the bloody -towel- torche.

Phoebe said based the miscarriage scene after an actual acquaintance she had that had a miscarriage during a party and said nothing out of fear she'd be a bother to others.
I dunno if this is evident to everyone, but the stepmother hates fleabag because she is so much like her mother. It's like her jealousy transferred onto fleabag. She's also just a terrible person but that's why she is specifically most horrible to fleabag.

Season 2 of Fleabag is one of the top seasons of a tv show ever made. Season 1 was great, season 2 is damn near perfect.

I love how this episode almost feels like a play, really fitting since Fleabag was originally written for stage. Such sharp writing, never gets old!
