My dad was gone all the time due to the military. He woke up early and went to bed early. He was stationed in other countries. I have 0 debt and college was paid for. Thank you dad for your sacrifice to give our family a better life.

I'm far from being a woke, but I don't trust Elon on this one, he was just an absent father and then left the family anyway for a younger model. In the interview with Peterson he pretends like he was part of some broader family decision when he maximally as legal father got an email to sign a paper. He has thousands of advisors and people who could find out everything about the procedures in a matter of hours. That he discusses such intimate things about his children in a public space just shows what kind of person he is and what kind of relationship he has with that child.
Years ago when I was in middle school my friend told me she was transgender, the name she wanted and all the surgeries. I managed to convince her to not do anything until she was 18, years went by I saw her far more happy and feminine in highschool with a boyfriend. We are no longer friends but I’m glad I managed to snap her out of it back then because she seems to of found her true self.

I went through the trans phase, and it broke my parents hearts. It was already a very difficult situation happening at home, and then they started realizing the state of mind I was in and that I was basically digging my grave. It almost like me transitioning was revenge for our home life and the pain I had from them.. which isn’t okay. I acted and felt like an entirely different person, I look back on that time in my life and feel like it’s someone else. I don’t blame Elon for how he feels.. I don’t know much about him as a person, but a child is a child and in my experience my parents probably felt like I was a different person and completely isolated myself, so I might as well have been dead during that time. It wouldn’t have been much different.

I am a father of a minor son and my biggest fear is him getting caught up with this garbage. My little cousin was very gay when he was little, since he was about 2 actually you could just tell he wasn’t gonna be straight. Around 4 or 5, the way he’d Jump in the pool, dance, catch and mannerisms were nothing like his brother just 3 years older. You can definitely tell a kid is gay early on.

Im actually the opposite. As time passes I've become more and more conservative while my parents became leftists. My mom agreed with the allowing kids access to transitioning and I just looked at her shocked and asked her "Didn't I say I knew who I was when I was younger so fervently?" Followed up with "Am I that person now? No but I'm far happier being who I grew into and would not have forgiven you had you allowed me to do something so drastic as surgery and medications.". My dad thankfully didn't go THAT far with his beliefs but he definitely isn't the Republican he used to be and became a Democrat.
after seeing how much of a mess there is with social media i'm thinking it may be a good idea to raise mine when they come without internet as much as possible, maybe in a semi-rural region, homeschooling with a focus on history, philosophy and practical skills... I've heard of fathers doing the same. However, people forget the intrinsic bond between a mother and her child (in a loving, non-abusive environment, obviously. I'm far from being a woke, but I don't trust Elon on this one, he was just an absent father and then left the family anyway for a younger model. In the interview with Peterson he pretends like he was part of some broader family decision when he maximally as legal father got an email to sign a paper. He has thousands of advisors and people who could find out everything about the procedures in a matter of hours. Years ago when I was in middle school my friend told me she was transgender, the name she wanted and all the surgeries. I managed to convince her to not do anything until she was 18, years went by I saw her far more happy and feminine in highschool with a boyfriend. I went through the trans phase, and it broke my parents hearts. It was already a very difficult situation happening at home, and then they started realizing the state of mind I was in and that I was basically digging my grave. It almost like me transitioning was revenge for our home life and the pain I had from them.. which isn’t okay. I acted and felt like an entirely different person, I look back on that time in my life and feel like it’s someone else. I don’t blame Elon for how he feels.. I don’t know much about him as a person, but a child is a child and in my experience my parents probably felt like I was a different person and completely isolated myself, so I might as well have been dead during that time. It wouldn’t have been much different.

As a retired service member I see children of service members say they were never there not understanding what being forward deployed means. My little cousin was very gay when he was little, since he was about 2 actually you could just tell he wasn’t gonna be straight. Around 4 or 5, the way he’d Jump in the pool, dance, catch and mannerisms were nothing like his brother just 3 years older. You can definitely tell a kid is gay early on.

My mom agreed with the allowing kids access to transitioning and I just looked at her shocked and asked her "Didn't I say I knew who I was when I was younger so fervently?" Followed up with "Am I that person now? No but I'm far happier being who I grew into and would not have forgiven you had you allowed me to do something so drastic as surgery and medications.". My dad thankfully didn't go THAT far with his beliefs but he definitely isn't the Republican he used to be and became a Democrat.

I've heard of fathers doing the same. However, people forget the intrinsic bond between a mother and her child (in a loving, non-abusive environment, obviously. There are many women who aren't a mother's arse, same to men and fathers, but I digress) and young children and teens are particularly susceptible to their mother's influence, since both early childhood and teen years are important learning points in a human's life. They are times when a mother is the most important. So yes, those saying the mother may have had a hand in this are probably correct. Fair? No. But probably true, nonetheless.

It's possible he meant that he was harassed by Elon, but it seems he would have said "he harassed me" if that was the case. Yep. When that "sexuality course" came out in school in 2017, I confronted other parents who then just stared at the floor and told me they preferred to throw their kids under the bus rather than be "stigmatized" for speaking out. I was the lone parent to speak out about that disgusting "class" and its content and I was the only one to ever pull my kids out of it.

my father worked 6 days a week in another locality from where he could not commute. however, I grew up strong and independent, and I had the love of both parents. I've never had the problem that they don't love me and don't take care of me, just because they're not with me 24/7.

I think they're really underestimating how much personality a 4 year old can have. We lose a lot of our memories of that period, but as a parent I can tell you 4 year olds can be into musicals, use words like fabulous and all the rest of it.
I can also confirm. My 4 year old uses words much bigger than that all the time. He also picks up new words just by hearing them one time, and then perfectly uses them later with the correct context.

It’s embarrasing to show yourself to ANYONE if you don’t pass 110%. It’s not a fun experience because trans people know what they’re risking, but they choose to do it anyway, because they are indeed transgender and the pain is so real, but that’s hard for outsiders to understand. Just because you don’t understand it, doesn’t mean it isn’t real. A man can believe his wife when she says her child birth is painful, or he can ignore it because he can’t relate and call her attention seeking.
