Love Elon parenting. i had a DAD that beat me and make me work 7 days a week. When I join the Navy to be a Medic in the VietNam war, I learned what it was like to be respected by your superiors. When I got back from my tour of duty, my Dad immediately wanted me to work at his factory. I refused and my Dad got mad for wanting to start a Auto repair business. After 9 years and running a successful business, my Dad came by my shop to visit. It was a bit strange cause he told me I was a failure. I have since retired and while having my Auto business, I went back to college and become an electronics engineer. I am 70 years old and feel great to do what I want in life.
You can be born poor and live in an abusive family, but there is no reason not to succeed in America. Only you can make the best of who you want to be.

Many of us have had fathers who were cruel in one way or another, even lowering our confidence rather than building it up. I ran away just before turning 17yrs after a closeted, highly disciplined life. I too did well for myself, within my expectations. I very much care about humanity and all the amazing good people (and animals) out there.
Elon also proves that having such a father makes you stronger, and more inclined for proving oneself, giving the drive necessary to achieve a goal.
There is no doubting Elon is one of those RARE people, with a genius brain of course, but he always makes us smile when he talks. He doesn't talk 'down to us' but shares the love for humanity that is obvious in him.

That many children explains some of his skills and versatility. I’m glad to see that he doesn’t sacrifice them for his work or overly spoil them... wealth takes away some pressure and introduces others . May his children be worthy of him ...
