Excellent video! You're uniquely great at breaking down design problems and teaching paths forward. In this one I especially love what you did with the penguin trailer--the game actually looks fun now!
Thank you! Yeah, that one was definitely the biggest upgrade! Halfway through the video I realized I should have lead with that one but I was too far in 😅
wow, it's incredible to see your trailers, and just how much better they communicate the basic gameplay loop or gimmick of each game! Honestly the makers of these games should really reach out to you and negotiate some kind of deal to use your fan made trailers instead
I would let them use it for free if they wanted to! But a lot of people don’t appreciate random strangers saying “hey you did a bad job at this thing and I did it better” XD
Nice work! For your thumbnail, I'd suggest removing the "BAD TRAILERS" red banner and instead put a Steam review, with a thumbs down and a confused comment, like "I don't get it."
Great job on the trailers! How long did it take you to do each one? Curious to know how much time would go into them - I hate video editing for my own channel but recognize the insane value in having polished videos. I just typically screen record and talk into a mic with no cuts or transitions / overlay footage or anything (which I know isn't all that exciting to actually watch lol).
Thanks!!! The actual editing for each video only took an hour or two each since they’re formulaic and I didn’t put much effort into them 😆 But the longer part of the process was playing the games to collect the footage I needed. It took me a long time to get through Construct’s tutorial and make my own vehicle to record
Love the trailer reworks in this video! I remember uploading my first trailer for one of my games and getting roasted because I didn't show enough gameplay... live and learn!
Yeah, I was trying not to go too hard on anyone (except the first guy because I think he’s running an nft scam, lol) Like I said in the trailer, video editing is a skill, I don’t expect everyone to just naturally have an aptitude for it!
Awesome video, learned a lot about trailer making. 👍 I really liked what you did with the last one, the trailer is fun and really has that "just have tons of fun creating your toys" vibe. Maybe the original creator wanted to show that anything you build in the game could be built in real life too using the same techniques? 🤔 Keep up the great work, can't wait to see the juicy trailer you're gonna make for Moto Knight. 🚲
Thank you so much!!! Yeah, all of these trailers had some good concepts, the real-life footage could have been really cool if it was fleshed out a little better! And thanks, I’m excited for Moto Knight too! I made this entire video as an excuse to make the Mito Knight trailer but then I didn’t even have time for it 😫

Dude I’m so bad at thumbnails! I definitely don’t have the eye for them yet 😫 Maybe I’ll give that a try!

It sounds like a lot of expertise was used to making this video. A result of professional training. Useful !

Great video! This helped me learned what to implement and improve for whatever trailer I'll ever make!
Thanks! 😊
This is so cool!!! I can't wait for the trailer and oohhh, I definitely want to implement this when writing my trailers for my stories!
Thanks!
😊😊😊
These look pretty good bro! I gotta say the original penguins trailer was hard to watch even sped up as much as it was 😅
Haha thank you so much!!!! Yeah that one was rough 😅
Oooh, now I know who's going to make my game trailers.:)
Haha, it actually would be super fun to make a real trailer for someone’s game
Really liked the second trailer now I'm probably gonna go and play that game
The dangers of good advertising… Let me know how the game lives up to your expectations! 😆
I like the original one's 😂😂
