Sounds came from the RSC K4, something over a decade old.... same for the Clear Creek models. Its frustrating they didn't bother to get some decent sounds yet again.
Ah, the San Juan Mountains, definitely one of my (many) favorite areas in CO. Route looks pretty good. Took some pictures up on the pass back in 2019 and man, it's like "they're the same picture" haha You gotta visit colorado some day. The drive from Telluride/Placerville to Cortez/Durango is super scenic, and hwy 550 too. (the million dollar highway!) Just be aware it's a very very "hilly" area :) And very very cold at night if you're camping at 9000ft. Thanks for the video, right on time as always :D
Fantastic! My favorite railroad.. I remeber seeing the trestles still intact in the late sixties. Uranium kept them going till the early fifties. Thanks for this video.
Scenery looks beautiful. Have been to the D&S & C&TS a dozen times since my first trip in the mid 1990's - no mean feat from Oz! The sounds REALLY let it down. It is not as though there isnt an actual K27 running. I have seen and ridden behind 463 (and in the guise of RGS 455 numerous times. There really is no excuse. There are countless videos etc available. If you have been near the loco when the brake pumps kick in, the whole locomotive shakes and there is a real thump. The ALL the sounds really need a do over. Been waiting so long and in this aspect, a little let down
I do believe that the lettering that doesn't look particularly sharp represents car lettering that is hand painted instead of stenciled. Hand painting the lettering was a common practice at the minor repair shops when they were tasked to repaint a car on site instead of sending it to the main shop
Now, I'm not asking for the entire roster, but it would have been nice if we got at least 1 more locomotive variant, like a 2-8-0 or a 4-6-0, seeing as we technically already have the K-27, I heard it wasn't very good though. The galloping geese as you mentioned is also a bit of a strange omission, too, considering they made up most of the passenger service on the line. I honestly didn't even notice this was an RGS route until like, a week before release, I thought it was gonna be a normal D&RGW narrow gauge route, like the C&TS line.
Those are DRGW 3-chime locos, so they have no business having 1 chime whistles. In Fanrailer's steam review, he was able to fix the whistle in 10 minutes. Hopefully Fanrailer releases a fix or Milepost Simulations has a patch for the whistles cause those are some nasty sounding 1 chimes.
It's a correct whistle, even if the loop is a bit crappy. The K-27s had a mixture of D&RG single chime hooters and D&RGW 5 chimes along with the occasional oddball. There is at least two that carried a particularly long-belled 3 chime whistle at one point too (the same whistle, just appears in photos on two engines).
@@colbylawson5331 It's actually a 5 chime on the model, but I digress. Can't really expect those kinds of details from much anything DTG is associated with.
Haven't played classic in ages, but the lack of variety and polish on these routes for TSW has been bugging me lately. Might pick this up or some other routes for classic.
@@schnauzahpowahz I recognized the RWE along with AP Weather immediately. I was amazed how much difference it made. Well worth a look for serious TS fans! Great video, I really enjoyed it!
Okay... There's not even a guy hanging around, the depots are empty of trains and lives, no pallets, old cans, nothing at all. This road is empty of lives. Are they all dead from covid or what? 😂 The rivers are ugly, what is this horror, it's not complicated to put two or three pebbles and real "water". The mountains aren't even textured, it's green everywhere, even in the undergrowth!!! Personally, I no longer buy US roads, they are all badly finished. When I see what I do alone in my corner and free, it's worse and worse the DLCs. It's a shame this road could have been very beautiful with some finishing touches. You know, I'm a fan of steam locos but it's not, there are too many things to edit to make it a beautiful road finished with lives Zawal...
But the cows mooo Zawal! They mooooo! 😆 Sadly I dont think we'll ever get NA payware with excellent detail quality in your instance, but overall its a nice little package. Yeah the rivers and creeks suck - that I 100% agree, Milepost have always looked this way, like ditches almost
It's only a matter of time before Hyce gets word of this!
I can hear it now
You know hyce is at his pc drooling
Oh, god, the light… IT’S COMING!!!
@@redwolfpiping5701 aaand there it is!

Whistle has a big, obvious sound loop, now we need to have someone make the "Motors" galloping geese

This route goes well with C.W. McCall's Galloping geese

Oh id love to, been planning a camper trip in my mind for years now lol, hit the squared 4, NM, AZ, CO & UT.

Well at least Machine Rail is making their own K36 locos. I've seen the k27 (464) a few times up here in MI.

Good point

Wow, word gets around fast.
Very nice, when I was in steam engines this brought back a lot of nostalgia.👍
I just added the route on my wish list on Steam🙂

Just wondering, where did you get the skies for these scenarios? they look absolutely beautiful compared to some of the default ones.
More US Steam Narrow Gauge!

463 dose have a 1 chime in real life soo......

Is it just me or is this route scenary better than TSW3?

yes. using RWE pro and AP weather 2.0

TSW 3: you should do a video of the god mode mod, and how to use it. like to spawn in cars
How much is the dlc
Why does everything by DTG sound so crap
Such a dated platform doesn't do justice to the route.
