Great question. The absolute best way is to do ground school first and then right as you pass your FAA written, start flight training. There can even be a little overlap… maybe do your first few flights towards the end of your ground studies if you have the time. But doing the ground school first will make flying so much easier and will save you a lot of money. In my eyes the most common reason people end up quitting or not making it to a private pilot license is because they don’t have a good understanding of the ground material when they get to their more complex flight lessons and they start flying behind the aircraft mentally which causes them to makes mistakes and have to repeat lessons which ends up costing them $1000s Great question. Glad you are thinking ahead!
What do you recommend…to do ground school first? Or do ground school and in between do some flight hrs?
