they said beethoven was great same with alot of other old guys form the past, but we dont live in the past we live now, Buckethead deserves twice as much credit, he is not just a musician but an artist. The music he makes and the skill behind it is something nobody that lived ever have done before. Youre amazing Buckethead and im greatful for every tone you play !
I have only been listening to Buckethead for a week and I'm hooked. Unbelievable musicianship and production. he's a creative genius. No one comes close. Everyone talks about Vai, Satch, Gilbert, Tosin and other virtuosos but they really do pale in comparison. I rarely hear bad music from him, and his catalogue is MASSIVE! How lucky are we to experience this!!! There's so much emotion in his music and you can listen to it over and over again and experience something different each time. I will be purchasing his stuff for sure, No more free downloads for me.
I agree, but have you ever thought about the other guitarists that you mentioned, what kind of music they could offer without the record companies? I think they could go so far too.
True. But it seems they write what comes from the heart anyway. Their stuff is hardly 'radio friendly' as it is. The sheer volume of stuff Bucky has put out and how good it is, puts him in god status for me. Incredible. A lifetime of listening pleasure.
I have been discovering Buckethead, as of late. Had always kind of written him off as a shredder, without really knowing anything about him. Recently, someone posted a video for Soothsayer to Facebook, and after listening to a bunch more stuff on RUclips and I can honestly say that I can't name a single musician or performer out there with zero ulterior motives, who so purely does it for the love of music as our wonderful Buckethead! His brilliance/madness makes every thing he touches just outstanding. These pikes are a collective musical masterpiece and raise the bar to dizzying heights!
Everybody ignore the flat earth comment its just a bot hired/sent by a bigger evil thing that is trying to create diversion and start negative stuff on bucketheads video. Just ignore the comment about flat earth, and long live buckethead.
MF Doom is almost like a clone of him in hip hop... wears a Dr. Doom mask and hates publicity, doing concerts. Overwhelmingly skilled and just enjoys making the art
I am 64 from so. cal. I've heard every guitar player of substance. I can list them all but what a waste of time. None and I mean NONE can match Buckethead!

@@Miserereion but the thing is BH has done like every style of guitar yet does Gilmour better than Gilmour himself (Coupons and Liquid Mantis for example)
He's okay and you don't know what you're talking about. Joe Satriani smokes Buckethead on every level. Buckethead is also a santanist and going to hell but he's a decent guitar player.
I think there are conduits from other dimensions and realms that flow through Buckethead and his instruments. Either way, one thing is for certain, Buckethead is a genius.
There is nothing like BH, such a phenomenal Performer, Guitarist, Artist, and Human Being. Thank You for all You do and sharing it with the world. You never cease to amaze me. Much Love to You Buckethead. Hope to meet you one day.

these pikes have been great for practicing to. If you are stuck in a rut with your playing BH is great for showing different ways to make the most out of a simple progression. +ZOMBIELANDakaUSA You're lucky enough to have seen him live. what about fans like me who live outside the US and have not seen him to date. Very tough.
+ZOMBIELANDakaUSA - sorry I misunderstood your comment - I thought you have seen him live. maybe one day he will get back on tour. Am sure his back surgery is the major issue there are no tours any more. Add to this I don't think he was making any money from it. Consider a couple hundred people in a small venue paying only $25 a ticket. No desire to do that again maybe.
Yeah, his appearance and unwillingness to be in the spotlight is what deters people, I find. Which, I think is funny, bc those are two of my favorite qualities about him. Adds to the mystery and fascination of listening to him. I Saw him at House of Blues, New Orleans a few years back. By far the most enjoyable show I've ever been to. The atmosphere and energy he creates is unbelievable.

Absolute true, Aweome sound and playing, my favorite Pike
You can't repeat it enough, without any doubts, the pike I've listened to more than any other, must be over a thousand times, no kidding.
Thank you for sharing your awesome music with us. So many times his music has brought me to tears.

Buckets the Master. I love Satch, Gilmour etc... but none come anywhere close to Bucket!
Brian is the epitome of the modern guitarists. Beautiful mind.my brother. Thanks
Gilbert is probably as good, but just so cheesy it's impossible for me to listen to him. Vai and Satriani are not even close though.
