You hear this guy's rhythm and melodic playing and your jaw hits the floor… then he begins soloing and your jaw starts drilling it's way to the earth's core.
Buckethead has to be the consistently best guitarist ever. Every piece sounds unique while still being easily identifiable, and I can't think of anything by him that I don't like.
IT's funny you say that. My experience is a little different. His tone is usually the same in every track, he plays the same chords and scales in most tracks, yet somehow those thousand speeding notes all sound different and unique track to track. Remarkable.
@@seriously3 He has over 4000 tracks and many di sound different but he died have a signature time that is recognizable in alot if his work and is some of his styles and techniques. I find his 8 finger tapping epic especially when her goes really deep with it
13:27 to ending was absolutely brutal shredding so powaful, and you inspire everyone around you. You have inspired my playing time and time again, you fast asf. Technical and have swampthing hands, Longlive buckethead. ❤
bucket is the most underrated guitarist of time. His unique style. Superior than Vai or satriani or any other guitar "legend". His legacy will be understood 200 yrs from now.
I can listen to any of the serious shredders and be impressed by skill. A few are better than Bucket, I think, mechanically. I almost never hear the emotion and story that come through in his songs, though. Beside the point, but it's also fairly proggy.
f!!!! love you Bucket. Everytime i hear your music it inspires mt to play. This song to me is for my Little man he was born with the chord round his neck thought we lost him. He got took away straight away i stayed strong and fighted for his mother and so did my Little Man to be hear today. The shure power of these riffs and melodys inspires anyone to stay strong
I'm so happy for you and your family that your little man made it. The incredible power of music never ceases to amaze me. I love this song and now I will think about your story whenever I listen to this masterpiece.
Seems like buckethead doesn’t warm up. Unless buckethead plays with band. Bass player drummer it’s much better. After seeing buckethead drum machine, It’s not the same. The drum machine worked during the nineties. I talked to guy who took lessons from buckethead at music store back in eighties. He told me buckethead, ‘Brian’ held back every time he seen live. Although this was before the Buckethead thing. He also told me ‘Brian’ entered a guitar contest (players all over world) Brian carol sent his demo tape winning second place. Lost to Japanese guitarist. The guy told me since the judges could only listen to Brian’s demo, they thought ‘overdubs’ mixed. He said that demo tape wasn’t overdubbed. The judges didn’t know Brian was playing two guitars at same time. I think he was playing ‘both parts’ at same time. The guy said two guitars same time.
U THE MAN Zoran! Thank you so much for all these uploads. have purchased many pikes and would have never gotten the chance to hear them if not for you. much respect
I liked the more defined nature of the albums prior to the Pikes - which are a ton of music to take in - but I get that Bucket doesn't want to be constrained to a couple of albums a year... when hundreds are apparently more his style. I would be deeply surprised to see anyone playing or releasing more. He must wake up in the morning already recording. I trust your taste at this point, so I'm going to check those pikes out now. Live Buckethead is not quite the same (though the skill is there, don't get me wrong), but the albums are immortal. Your "Hold Me Forever" has been on my list for a long time, so I figured I'd see what else you had. Thanks for uploading.
😮 WTAF have I just listened to. This is just straight up god mode! If Jack black had met buckethead on that long and winding road both of D would be covered in mayo!!!
@@saaidiamohamedamine5877 I prefer this over pike 65. that one repeats the same melody for so long, that it gets kind of boring. Still satisfying to listen to, but this one is better in my opinion
As the Godfather of RnR put in the lyrics of his most famous song, 'there stood a log cabin made of earth and wood, he never ever learned to read and write well, but he could play a guitar like ringing a bell' Was this Brian? 😃😆 Just superb!
He's played some pikes, or parts of in live sessions. Don't have links right now but will try find them. They often sound similar but quite different because of his improvisation
This is therapy for the soul...

Gonna have to disagree with the comment about Vai. I'd put Bucket and Vai on roughly the same level...

To see him live from like 7 feet away was absolutely crazy. Just kept getting more amazing each song. Westcott Theater, Syracuse (maybe 2017 or 2018)
His live shows are amazing. I've been to see him live 4 times. I hope he's got one more tour in him.

People who claim they don't like BUCKETHEAD are close minded; I mean if you like rock and roll and hard driving riffs BUCKETHEAD is king.
When I listen to this, I feel like terminator 😡.

He generally uses a drum machine, either programmed by himself or a regular engineer he works with.
